TV watchdog OFCOM have received a whopping 865 complaints from viewers enraged by Peter Andre’s recent Sky News interview.

Kay Burley seemed to ambush the star with a clip of Dwight Yorke blasting him for trying to adopt his and Katie Price’s son Harvey and then proceeded to ask Peter how he would feel if Alex Reid tried to adopt his two children.

Peter broke into tears as he insisted:

“No one is going to take away my kids. I will fight to the death.”

OFCOM have not yet decided whether or not to take launch a probe into Sky’s actions.

TV regulator OFCOM have confirmed that despite receiving dozens of complaints themselves and 3000 more being submitted to ITV, they don’t intend to investigate ITV’s The X Factor.

BBC News reports that Ofcom officials said that it only launches investigations into complaints including the treatment of TV show contestants and flaws in voting processes, but not the outcome of programmes.

But the watchdog added that it reviews every complaint that it receives.

“Reflecting the huge popularity of a show watched by almost 17 million viewers, the X Factor result can divide opinion and provoke comment from our viewers,” said a spokeswoman for ITV.

“I know there will be lots of people who will criticise the decision to let it go to deadlock, but I honestly could not have predicted the way public voting had gone – I never get told the voting figures,” Cowell said.

“The twins are good entertainment and there would be criticism either way. I really just couldn’t make up my mind, that’s why I left it to the public.”

TV regulator Ofcom is considering launching an investigation into the X Factor, after fans alleged that the show is ‘fixed’.

Despite criticising John and Edward Grimes for weeks, Simon last night opted to save them and effectively eject singer Lucie Jones.

Ofcom confirmed today it had received “more than 50″ complaints since the show aired, less than 24 hours ago. We can expect more details on the complaints this Wednesday and should know soon if OFCOM will investigate the matter formally.

A spokesman said: “There are a number of complaints which we are looking into.

“The number of complaints and the issues raised will be taken into consideration before we decide whether there needs to be a full investigation.”

OFCOM has ruled that this years Celebrity Big Brother did not breach broadcasting rules despite hundreds of complaints about rapper Coolio.

Most of the complaints related to his sexist and allegedly bullying behaviour, however OFCOM said that Coolio was the “villain of the piece” for many but that “such a role, after 10 years of Big Brother, is generally expected by the audience”.

Ofcom said the series complied with rules because “any potentially offensive content that was shown and the manner in which the friction and the arguments were handled and presented by Big Brother on behalf of Channel 4, were adequately justified by the context”.

Channel 4 said it was pleased with OFCOM’s decision.

“Conflicts can arise within the Big Brother house, but both the producers and commissioning editors encourage housemates to work differences out amongst themselves initially,” it said in a statement.

“Channel 4 has robust procedures in place to safeguard housemates’ welfare and avoid any harm or offence to fellow housemates or viewers, and Big Brother will intervene as and when necessary.”

Ofcom have reportedly received “dozens of complaints” about Fabia Cerra’s “burlesque routine” during her audition on Britain’s Got Talent.

Ofcom is apparently considering whether or not to launch an investigation since it’s received close to 40 complaints, as has ITV.

The main complaints centre around Cerra’s routine in which her breasts were covered only by flags which were digitally added to her routine prior to its airing on Saturday night.

An ITV statement read, “Fabia’s performance was given careful consideration by ITV, the producers Talkback Thames and compliance licensee Channel Television.

“As a result, the segment was edited in order to obscure any inappropriate detail and it was felt that the overall effect was comedic rather than titillating.”
