Craig Revel Horwood has hit out at James and Ola Jordan, who have been complaining about being dropped from this year’s Strictly Come Dancing tour.

The married couple were informed of the boss’s decision yesterday by email and were told that they would not be ‘needed’ for the nationwide tour, meaning that Ola’s partner Robbie Savage will have to dance with another female professional.

James took to Twitter on hearing the news and blasted:

“Myself and Ola will definitely NOT be doing the Strictly Tour! Just received an E-MAIL to say we are not needed!!”

However his attitude did not go down well with Craig Revel Horwood, who is the tour’s director and plans which dancers will take part. He has told The Sun that it was only fair to give some other professional’s a chance this year and insisted that the couple are taking his decision much too personally.

He said:

“James needs to reel his head in. He’s being incredibly selfish and rude moaning on Twitter about not doing the tour.

“Not every dancer can do the tour. He needs to let other people have a chance. Katya (Virshilas) has never done the tour before and she’s coming this year.

“Why should Ola and James always get to do it and never Katya? My advice to them would be to quit moaning, reel your head in and get on with it. It’s nothing personal.”

While we certainly understand Craig’s point, we think there is more to this decision than meets the eye.

It seems to us as if James may be being taught a lesson, after a series of on screen rows with show judges in recent weeks. However, he probably has a right to be upset at being informed by email, that always is the coward’s way out wouldn’t you agree?

James and Ola Jordan are reportedly furious, after BBC bosses informed them that they would not be needed for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing tour….by email!

The pair are fan favourites on the weekend dance extravaganza, but bosses have axed them from the nationwide tour, without giving them an adequate explanation on why the decision was made.

James revealed the news on Twitter yesterday and it was clear that he is less than happy with the way the matter was handled. He wrote:

“Myself and Ola will definitely NOT be doing the Strictly Tour! Just received an E-MAIL to say we are not needed!!”

It means that Ola will not be dancing with her partner from this year’s series Robbie Savage, though in fairness, he didn’t seem too upset by the news. He tweeted:

“Ola was the best partner ever but… no one is bigger than the show!”

It is thought that BBC bosses are snubbing James and his wife, after a series of on screen rows between him and the show judges.

A few weeks ago, after Len Goodman criticised a routine performed by Jordan and his partner, One Show host Alex Jones, James told Tess Daly:

“It would be nice if the judges stopped commenting on our choreography, because we have been in the business a long, long time. We know what we are doing.”

Later that evening, when Len was critical of Brendan Cole and Lulu’s performance, James shouted down: “Whatever”.

Len replied: “All you have to do is turn up, keep up and shut up.”

Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Ola Jordan has admitted that she is furious with show judge Craig Revel Horwood.

On last week’s show, the sharp tongued dance expert told One Show host Alex Jones that she looked “sexless, cold and stiff” on the dancefloor.

Hotting back, Ola told The Sun’s Buzz magazine:

“No girl wants to hear that she is not sexy.”

“It’s not fair. I’m so glad Alex was paired with James – he says the things people really think. I love how honest he is.”

Ola also blasted the panel for constantly criticising the professional’s choreography, insisting that they know best what their partners can cope with. She added:

“All the judges need to be more careful about their comments on the choreography. We know what our celebrities can and can’t do. The judges couldn’t do what we do with them.”

Speaking of the judges’ talent, Ola laughed:

“They’d definitely lose against us! I wouldn’t even bother to challenge them to try!”

But the blonde beauty does have a soft spot for a certain judge and she confessed that she missed Len Goodman when he was replaced on the panel a few weeks ago. Ola said:

“It’s refreshing to have guest judges like [Dirty Dancing star] Jennifer Grey on the show. But we didn’t really get anything from her with her comments. I missed Len.”

We don’t know exactly what Robbie Savage and Ola Jordan have been getting up to in their Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals, but it has certainly been energetic.

The football star has managed to injure his thigh muscle, while practising his first routine for this weekend’s live show but has promised to “grit his teeth” and get on with rehearsals, as he doesn’t want to let his beautiful partner down.

Savage has found himself being teased by his tough footie pals and one friend, Lee Dixon, joked:

“Man up, Savage, you’re not chasing Vieira now!”

Robbie has also recently admitted that he finds the constant dancing “draining”.

Robbie Savage may end up taking a pasting from James Jordan if he isn’t careful!

The Welsh football star and radio sports commentator was paired with James’ stunning wife Ola on last week’s Strictly Come Dancing launch show. Ever since, he has been teasing the hunky dancer, that his wife won’t be able to keep her hands off him and says they will most definitely be getting up close and personal.

The Sun reports that Robbie, 36, told James, 33:

“I’ll apologise for Ola now — she won’t be able to keep her hands off me.

“It’s about time your wife danced with a good-looking bloke. I’ll be gentle with her.”

An insider said: “Ola thinks James could get jealous of her dancing with Robbie — he’s certainly not scared to get hands-on.”

In an interview with Zoo magazine, the blonde haired hunk admitted that he didn’t expect dancing to be so tiring and revealed that he is hoping Ola’s fanbase will carry him through the first few shows at least.

Robbie Savage says he hopes Ola Jordan’s fan base will help him win Strictly.

Robbie, who discovered he was partnered with Ola on Saturday’s show, told this week’s ZOO Magazine: “Ola’s great and has a massive fanbase, which I hope helps me, as I’m going to need the extra support. The training started this week and she’s already working me really hard – but she needs to, as last Saturday was the first proper dance I’ve done.”

The ex-footballer says being a sportsman will help his fitness but he added: “I never thought dancing would be as tiring as this. I was knackered after the first show and I was sweating buckets. The thing that gets me is the nerves – I can’t eat anything before performing because my tummy is in bits.”

Asked how he feels about his Strictly wardrobe, he said: “I can’t wait to wear mad clothes. I don’t want to be boring and dull, so I think the more outrageous the better.

Speaking about his fellow contestants, Robbie revealed: “Russell Grant in particular is brilliant – he has us in stitches most of the time. I have to say that although he’s a big guy, he’s surprisingly light on his feet – he’s apparently lost 10 stone.”

The pairings were revealed on last night’s Strictly Come Dancing launch show and after discovering that her partner would be footballer Robbie Savage, Ola Jordan joked:

“My husband is going to be so jealous!”

After Holly Valance discovered her partner is Artem, Bruce Forsythe joked with her saying, “Holly – if you feel two holes burning in the back of your head, it’s Kara Tointon’s eyes. So be careful! Be very, very careful.” Holly replied: “we’re professionals!”

Asked who their outside tips were, Bruno replied:

“Ah, it’s got to be Russell Grant! I’m telling you, he’s got the potential of taking off like the spinning tardis and taking us all into a new dimension of dance, or dementia, it’s up to you. But it’s going to be entertaining regardless.”

Craig Revel Horwood added:

“Russell and Flavia, and actually, Lulu and Brendan – I don’t know, probably not on the dance floor, but I think backstage we might see some tiaras and tantrums.”

Back in July, Ola was confronted by a woman who attacked her, saying, “I’m gonna f*** you up.”

Speaking to The Sun, Ola said, “I’m afraid to go out now. I’ve never been so scared.

“It was horrible. So scary…

“It was three in the afternoon so I thought it was safe.

“It wasn’t a nightclub in the early hours – there were loads of kids there. What happened was so unexpected.

“I was sitting with my friend and some of the boys went outside for cigarettes.

“We were chatting, then out of nowhere this woman came up to me and said, ‘I’m gonna f*** you up.’

“I think she recognised me but I can’t say for sure. I pleaded with her to go away and I put my arm up as she was getting very close.
“She was so big and was towering over me, almost on top of me. Then she took a step back and I thought she was backing off.

“But she lunged at me and punched me hard in the head. It was really powerful and pushed me into my chair.

“The woman still kept coming. I grabbed my handbag and tried to run for the door. I just wanted to get away.

“I hate arguing and thought if I did say something back to her she would hurt me more, maybe even knock me out.

“She had two children with her and it all happened right in front of them.

“There were loads of other children there and they were all scared.

“By now she was with a man who I assumed was her other half. I had my phone and took pictures of them in case they ran away. The guy got really angry.”

Police were called and they subsequently cautioned a 39-year-old man, but the woman had left the bowling alley. However, police eventually caught Karina Charles of Catford, South East London. She appeared before Croydon magistrates’ court on August 16 and admitted common assault.

Ola, who sustained bruises in the attack, said, “I feel so much more wary now about where I go because it felt like a safe place.

“It was afternoon, broad daylight and that happened.”

Ola is now said to be “in intensive training” for the show’s ninth series, which starts on Friday September 30, with a second show on the Saturday.

Strictly Come Dancing star Ola Jordan was enjoying a relaxing day out at her local bowling alley recently, when a chavvy mum punched her and then laughed about the attack with her children it has been reported.

The professional dancer’s husband, James Jordan – who also stars on the BBC One reality TV series – had stepped outside for a few moments when the incident occurred, and onlookers claim that the assailant was determined to get to the dance star, running across several lanes to reach her.

Police were called to the scene in Croydon, London but the woman had escaped and instead officers arrested her male companion, who had been threatening Ola also.

A source told The Sun: “Ola could not believe it. This woman came flying at her and smashed her really hard.

“She was laughing and so were her friends. It was even more shocking as she was there with her kids.

“Ola’s the nicest person you could wish to meet. She was left a total mess.”

A spokeswoman for Polish-born Ola said: “She is incredibly shocked.”

Ola specialises in Latin dance and is best known for her appearances on Strictly Come Dancing. She married her professional dance partner James Jordan in 2003. She will return to the BBC show, when it launches it’s ninth series this autumn.

Ola Jordan wants to be partnered with a “hunky young man” on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

The dancer – who is married to fellow professional James Jordan – admits all of the women on this year’s show wanted to be paired with rugby star Gavin Henson, and she is particularly keen on being given someone under 35 to work alongside next year.

She said: “Lots of the women liked Gavin. When he took his top off, people didn’t know where to look. See, I’ve never had a partner below the age of 35. I’d like a really hunky young man so that my husband can get jealous!

“I danced with Harry Judd from McFly for Children in Need and that was brilliant. He was young and fit!”

Ola also confessed she would love to partner singer Peter Andre or young British royal Prince Harry on the dancefloor.

She added: “I’d love to get Peter Andre. He’s got rhythm and would be nice to hang out with. I think Prince Harry would be fun too. They’re both quite hot.”
