Olly Murs got more than he bargained for when he starred in a Sports Relief promotional video recently.

The X Factor star was giving his training and warm up tips to anyone planning to take part in the upcoming sponsored Sports Relief run and was demonstrating a number of stretches and lunges which he uses before doing any sporting activity.

However, as he demonstrated a groin stretch, the ‘Please Don’t Let Me Go’ hitmaker was red faced when his tight fitting trousers ripped and revealed his grey pants and legendary bulge underneath.

All we can say is thank the lord he was wearing underwear, can you imagine if Olly had been going commando?

Olly and a number of other stars will be taking part in the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile on March 25, to help raise money for vulnerable and needy people in the UK and abroad.

Alex Jones has admitted that she is feeling a bit sorry for this year’s Let’s Dance For Sports Relief contestants, as she knows exactly how nervous they must be ahead of the BBC series.

The Welsh TV star will present the show, along with former X Factor USA presenter Steve Jones, but also previously starred in Strictly Come Dancing and knows how crazy the pressure and nerves can be in reality TV.

Speaking about how stars such as Amy Childs and Harry Derbridge, Ulrika Jonson and X Factor’s Olly Murs must be feeling now, the brunette beauty told The Mirror:

“I can really empathise with them now. I know what they’re going through and my heart goes out to them.”

She also revealed that she can’t wait to be reunited with her ex-boyfriend Steve on the BBC dance show, though she didn’t pass comment on his recent bad news.

She added: “It’s literally the only time we see each other now, as we’re both so busy and he’s been working on the US X Factor, so it will be good to catch up.

“And I’m looking forward to having something to do on Saturday nights again – you can’t beat the buzz of live TV.”

X Factor star Olly Murs has announced that he is all set to release his new single ‘Oh My Goodness’ on April 1.

The track is the third to be taken from his number one album ‘In Case You Didn’t Know’, which has now sold in excess of 630,000 copies since being released in December – making it double platinum. His first two singles from the album, “Heart Skips a Beat” and “Dance with Me Tonight” both went to number one in the UK singles chart.

On top of his chart success, Murs has also been nominated for ‘Best British Single’ at the Brit Awards this year for ‘Heart Skips A Beat’ ft. Rizzle Kicks. This is Olly’s second BRIT nomination, as he was included in the same category last year and the Xtra Factor presenter will be performing the track at the ceremony on February 21.

Olly said: “Being nominated for a BRIT for a second year running is a dream come true! Thanks to everyone who’s supported me, I’m so chuffed to have such amazing fans, and so excited to be performing too”.

“Oh My Goodness” will be available as a digital download, with the brand new track “Don’t Say Goodnight Yet” as a b-side. The release will also feature remixes from Cagedbaby and Almighty.

Olly embarks on his UK arena tour starting today but in other exciting news, he will also be taking a film crew on tour with him for a special three party tour documentary, which is due to air on ITV in April.

With former beau Harry Styles confirming the split between him and Caroline Flack, cheeky bookies Paddy Power have opened a book on who will be the Xtra Factor presenters’ next boyfriend.

The odds would suggest that she may not have to look too far to find her next squeeze with fellow Xtra Factor presenter Olly Murs the early 6/1 favourite followed by former X-Factor wild child Frankie Coccozza at 8/1 and former X Factor winner Matt Cardle at 9/1.

Further down the list is megastar Justin Bieber and Two and a Half men star Angus T. Jones at 25/1 with Nick Jonas and X Factor boss Simon Cowell propping up the market at an unlikely 40/1.

Meanwhile Paddy Power are also taking bets on the age of the former ‘Gladiators’ presenters next sweetheart. It’s 10/1 for her to step out with a minor, 11/4 for her to shack up with someone between 18 and 25 and 7/4 for her to date a guy nearer her own age group 26 to 34.

The lineup for this year’s Let’s Dance For Sports Relief has been revealed.

It has been confirmed that dancing on the BBC show will be X factor star Olly Murs, The Only Way Is Essex stars Amy Childs and Harry Derbidge, Shooting Stars comedian Angelos Epithemiou (aka Daniel Renton Skinner) and British skier Eddie “The Eagle” Edwards.

Steve Jones will return from America and his X Factor fame to host the series once more, alongside his ex-girlfriend and Welsh beauty Alex Jones.

Will Young, JLS, LMFAO, Pixie Lott and Tinchy Stryder will all pop up during the series for special performances and this week the competition will be extended across five weeks, with four heats culminating in a spectacular final on Saturday 17 March.

Who goes through and who gets a chance to compete in the final will be down to the public and the panel. The final will see eight celebrity acts dance with the hope of being crowned the Let’s Dance For Sport Relief Champion. Proceeds from the voting will go to Sport Relief.

There will be a weekly rotating panel, made up of comedians, some of whom are former contestants who will review each of the performances. The panel of three, together with the viewers will vote for their favourite two acts to go through to the final and be in with a chance to be crowned Let’s Dance champion 2012.

OFCOM has upheld a complaint made against X Factor spin off show, The Xtra Factor.

The regulatory body found that the ITV2 show went overboard in their promotion of judge Tulisa Contostavlos’ fragrance and also the singles of host and former X Factor runner up Olly Murs.

OFCOM ruled that the Xtra Factor gave “undue prominence” to the ‘The Female Boss’ which Tulisa released just in time for Christmas and to ‘Dance With Me Tonight,’ Murs’ second single from album ‘In Case You Didn’t Know’ last year.

However, the body did not uphold complaints that Tulisa’s constant flashing of her arm tattoo on live shows, was promotion of her perfume of the same name.

Harry Styles can put his jealousy behind him, as Olly Murs has admitted that Xtra Factor bosses told him and Caroline Flack to flirt with one another.

As they presented the last series of the ITV2 X Factor spinoff, Olly and Caroline were frequently suggestive in their banter, causing many viewers to question the nature of their relationship. However, last October Flack, 32, took up with One Direction singer Harry Styles, 17, and has reportedly been dating the young singer ever since.

In an interview with The Sun today, Murs has confessed that the ‘will they, won’t they’ nature of their on screen partnership was staged by producer, explaining:

“It was a conscious decision to play up the ‘are they? aren’t they?’ thing but we got on so well that we flirted with each other anyway.

“At the start we flirted a lot and people were talking, but now we’ve got to the end of the series we’re just good mates.”

Meanwhile, Caroline reportedly had a bit of a rough time when she went to watch her boyfriend perform in London last week, as onlookers reported that many fans carried banners slagging her off, while hundreds bought whistles after being told ‘whistle if you hate Caroline Flack.’

But all the negative attention hasn’t split Caroline and Harry up and a few days ago she was snapped in London wearing a bracelet he had given her, before she went on holiday.

Olly Murs has revealed that he hopes to reach millionaire status later this year.

The X Factor star may have taken two years longer to join the club that his former competitors Jedward, but he admitted today that he can’t wait to raise the extra cash through his UK wide tour and his second album ‘In Case You Didn’t Know.’

Olly lags behind Jedward, because they have been inundated with advertising deals and special appearance offers, as well as their famous Eurovision bid. Murs insists that he will be very ‘conscious’ of his money and try to spend and save it sensibly. He told The Sun:

“Am I a millionaire yet? That will hopefully come this year.

“The difference with me is that I am very conscious of my money and I look after it.”

Olly added:

“Of course I’d love to be a millionaire and this industry gives you that opportunity.

“I am just working really hard and the tour will be a really big payout for me. I just can’t wait to perform for the fans.”

Of course another big project that Olly took on this year was his presenting role on X Factor spin off show ‘The Xtra Factor.’ Until now the singer has hinted that he may not return for a second series, as he wanted to concentrate on his music career. However, now he has revealed that he will most likely be fronting the show once more in 2012, with his old pal Caroline Flack.

He added:

“It looks likely I will do The Xtra Factor again.

“But I don’t want to do any other TV. I don’t want TV to overshadow the music.”

Olly Murs has insisted that his pal Caroline Flack is very ‘happy’ with her toyboy Harry Styles.

The Xtra Factor presenter, 32, and the One Direction singer, 17, hooked up last year after meeting at an X Factor party and became the talk of the country as people speculated on whether or not she was too old to be dating a teenager.

The constant attention and gossip is believed to have caused a split and the pair reportedly had a short break from each other over the Christmas holidays. However insiders say the romance is all back on now that Caroline has returned to the UK from India and this week, she was even snapped wearing Harry’s bracelet.

Speaking to Now magazine, Flack’s co-star Olly Murs defended the relationship, saying that his pal is very ‘happy’ with the current state of affairs. He explained:

“It’s funny,”

“Every girl in the country wants to snog Harry – and I’m sure there are a lot of boys who’d likde to kiss him, too!

“Caroline’s very lucky and I think she’s happy.”

Flack has often been portrayed as some sort of middle aged bunny boiler, pursuing this young teenager until he succumbed to her advances. But Murs insists that nothing is further from the truth. The ‘Heart Skips A Beat’ hitmaker continued:

“Harry does really like Caroline.

“Of course he does. She’s absolutely gorgeous.”

The Brit Awards nominations have been announced that former X Factor stars seem to be well represented in the list.

In the Best British Single category alone, former runner up Olly Murs has been nominated for his single “Heart Skips a Beat”, while JLS – who finished in second place back in 2008 – have received a nod for their track “She Makes Me Wanna”.

Four piece boyband One Direction – who finished in third place in 2010 – have also been nominated for their record breaking debut single “What Makes You Beautiful.”

However, Matt Cardle will have been disappointed to realise that his single ‘Run For Your Life’ didn’t get a mention and neither did the first effort of Rebecca Ferguson, ‘Nothing’s Real But Love.’

The most recent winners of the ITV show – Little Mix- were eligible for nomination in the Best British Single category, for their winner’s single “Cannonball” but they were not put forward for an award.

Meanwhile bookies have stopped taking bets that Adele will scoop the Best British Female Award and are predicting that the ‘Someone Like You’ hitmaker will walk away with three gongs on the night.
