Paddy and Nico beat the odds, overcame injury and apparently quite a serious argument to make their way onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage this evening.
79 year old Paddy was almost forced to pull out of the semi finals last week because she hurt her ribs during rehearsals. She got the all clear from doctors at the last minute and as a result, complained that her subsequent routine was below par and missing some difficult moves. The viewing public didn’t mind and they, along with the judges happily sent the pensioner and her Spanish partner through to the final.

Fans of Britain’s Got Talent will know that salsa dancing gran Paddy Jones recently suffered an injury to her ribs during rehearsals for the semi-finals, and for several days, it was believed she would not be able to compete in the talent quest’s penultimate rounds…
However, though she’s nearly 80 years old, Paddy was determined to do whatever it took to compete again, and sure enough, after consultation with top London doctors, she was given the all-clear and last week, she and dance partner Nico Espinosa sailed through to the final. Read on »
Paddy and Nico took the last spot in the Britain’s Got Talent final last weekend and in just three days time they are supposed to be performing for the BGT judges for the third time this series, however the pair not even be speaking by the time Saturday rolls around.
It’s been reported that (not for the first time) the Spanish dance pro and salsa sashaying granny have had a bit of a bust up and are barely able to talk to one another without fighting at the moment.

Fans of Britain’s Got Talent have apparently noticed that we’re not seeing much of presenters Ant and Dec in this year’s series, and having thought about it, it does seem to be the case that their jokey banter from the wings and their backstage interviews with the show’s wannabes have been rather sparingly aired this year…

In tonight’s edition of Britain’s Got Talent, we’re set to see judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden choose just 45 acts from the hundreds who auditioned to go through to the show’s semi-finals, which kick off tomorrow (Monday) night on ITV.

Last weekend, dancing granny Paddy Jones wowed the nation and the Britain’s Got Talent judges by performing an energetic and skilful salsa with her dance partner Nico Espinosa…
However, despite the fact that Paddy and Nico immediately became favourites to win the show, there was something of a hoo-hah when it was revealed that the couple had already won other talent contests, and of course, the fact that Nico is Spanish was a source of annoyance to some viewers who believe the show should only feature British nationals.
