This brand new series for ITV2 sees Fearne Cotton getting up close and personal to starlets Paris Hilton, Peaches Geldof and Alesha Dixon.

With exclusive access to the celebrities’ lives and inner-circles, Fearne hangs out with them when they’re on stage, at home, in the office, in the studio and while they’re relaxing with friends. And, as she gets to know them, they open up to her about their families and love lives.

Before embarking on her inquisitive journey into the celebrities’ lives, Fearne studies the way the press portray them and says she hopes to find out whether their media images are true to them or not.

Fearne says: “The whole lifestyle behind the public image is fascinating. I love piecing together the jigsaw puzzle of what lies beneath the surface. The series will be a real chance to peel back the layers of the celebrities’ lives.”

Episode one

The first episode in the series sees Fearne gain an exclusive insight into the life of the controversial heiress Paris Hilton.

As she jets out to join her in her LA mansion, Fearne hopes to discover the truth behind the headlines about the model, actress and pop star.

With her glamorous lifestyle the 28-year-old is pursued by paparazzi wherever she goes and has become a fixture in the world’s magazines and newspapers.

Coming from the Hilton Hotel dynasty Paris is rumoured to be worth in excess of $50 million. Her name is now a brand in its own right, which includes clothing and handbag ranges, a perfume collection, record label and even a dog accessories range. But Fearne sets out to discover how much Paris is involved. Is she simply a figure head or is she more than just a pretty face?

Paris has starred in five series of the hit reality TV show The Simple Life as well as her own hugely successful Paris’ British Best Friend and My New BFF shows. She has made guest star appearances in the OC and My Name is Earl as well as big screen guest roles in films like Zoolander. But is the Paris we see on screen the same Paris behind closed doors?

She’s written a best selling book – Confessions of an Heiress as well as launching a pop career achieving the top 10 in 17 countries with her single, The Stars Are Blind.

Fearne wants to find out what’s next for the star, and if she really believes she can achieve success in everything that she does.

With exclusive access to this Hollywood star’s life, will Fearne uncover the real Paris and will they become friends? Or will Paris use one of her favourite phrases on Fearne and tell her: “Talk to you never.”

Paris Hilton has offered sympathetic wishes to the family of a contestant from her reality TV show, My British Best Friend.

Kat McKenzie, 25, died last Friday and although the cause of her death is unclear, the police are not treating it as suspicious.

Paris said: “She will be missed.”

Paris later wrote on Twitter: “It is devastating to hear of her loss, my thoughts and wishes go out to her friends and family. Love you Kitty Kat. RIP.”

Paris Hilton has reportedly fallen out with best friend Brittany Flickinger.

Brittany won Paris’ the position of Paris’ BFF just four months ago on a reality TV show but the pair haven’t spoken in two months.

A source told Life and Style magazine: “They haven’t spoken in two months. All that girl wanted was the free trips, the goodie bags, staying at Paris’ mansion and the parties and clubs. She was desperate for money.

“She was another one of these girls using Paris to get famous. We’ve seen it happen a million times. In January at Sundance, Paris realised everything everyone was telling her was the truth.”

Cheryl Cole is currently trying to crack America and it seems like she has at least one person on her side.

Paris Hilton has been heaping praise on the Girls Aloud singer and revealed that she was very impressed by Mrs Cole when they met at the Grammy Awards last month.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, Hilton explained: “Your favourite lady has been hanging out on my side of the pond. I love the way Cheryl dresses, and she’s so sweet!

“We hung out a bit at the Grammys and I just find her beautiful and down to earth. I really like her style – she gets my vote when it comes to the best dressed awards this season.”

On tonight’s Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend, Paris has invited funny lady Olivia Lee to speak to the remaining potential BBFs individually. Paris wants Olivia’s opinion on whether she thinks they are genuinely there to be Paris’ friend or for ulterior motives.

Olivia feeds back her findings to Paris, with a large dose of her normal caustic wit!

Tonight sees Paris Hilton’s new British Best Friends trying to actually buy her affection. The groups have been given £50 and told to buy Paris something fun, something pink and something British….they obviously have no imagination!

The show is tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

Pole dancer Kat is to be sent home from Paris Hilton’s new reality TV show after falling ill.

Last week we saw Kat being rushed to hospital with mystery stomach pains and in tonight’s show Paris tells her that she is just too plain ill to stay.

Other highlights from tonight’s show include Samuel making ‘Fairy Fag Cakes’ for Paris and Paris asking one of the girls to be her pet (see above clip)…..oh the joy!

Scouser chick, Jade Morgan has become the first girl to be kicked off Paris Hilton’s newest reality TV show.

Paris Hilton’s New British Best Friend kicked off tonight on ITV2 and after watching how her new BBF’s performed in their makeover challenge and interrogation from Mark Durkan Smith, Paris chose to send Jade packing.

Before entering the show Jade told makers of the new ITV2 reality show, “I want to be Paris’ best friend because I read her book and everything she says in that book I live by.”

Jade told ITV.com: “I’m just gutted that I never got to stay longer and I feel dead priviledged to have had the opportunity to meet her [Paris]. Obviously I was too dramatic yesterday during the makeover but I’m gutted to be going first.”

Paris Hilton’s New Best Friend will follow the captivating Miss Hilton as she flies to the UK for an intensive search for a new friend she can depend on. Providing viewers with a candid insight into her manic world, they will also be privy to the true girl behind the media image through unprecedented exclusive access.

“Everyone knows I love LA,” says Hilton, “but London, watch out – I’m coming to town and bringing my fast-paced life with me. I’m in the UK all the time, but of course I can’t bring all my friends, so I’ve decided to look for a new BFF across the pond. I need a best friend who is hot, who can keep up with me, and most of all, who is real and won’t be a backstabber. I’m not leaving London until I find that amazing girl or guy who can meet the challenges of being my British bestie!”
