Former football star, Paul Gascoigne has reportedly been offered £100,000 to appear on Channel 4’s final Celebrity Big Brother.

Paul was rumoured to have signed up for ITV’s I’m A Celebrity, but was dropped after bosses feared he wasn’t well enough to take part.

Paul is said to be keen to appear on the nation’s flagship reality TV show, however his friends are worried that 24 hour scrutiny could destroy the recovering alcoholic.

A bb insider told The Mirror: “Getting Gazza would be seen as a major coup as he is a national treasure.

“But he would need a lot of psychological support.”

Paul Gascoigne has been dropped from this years I’m A Celebrity lineup amidst claims that is is mentally unstable.

A source told The Sun: “Paul Gascoigne was given a psychiatric test to see how he was, but he failed it. It was such a shame considering bosses had been trying to get him on the show for years.

“However they realised it was just too much of a risk for him to enter the jungle and be under such intense public scrutiny.”

Paul Gascoigne is reported to have signed up for this years series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

The troubled ex football star told The Sun: “I’m A Celeb has always been a show I’ve wanted to do one day. I can’t wait.”

This might just be the chance Gazza needs to redeem himself in the public eye, however he’d better be prepared for his despicable wife and tarty step-daughter to start selling stories about his past transgressions.
