Yesterday we brought you a great shot of Britain’s Got Talent winner, Paul Potts, standing at the top of Sydney Harbour Bridge, and today we have a fabulous video showing just what a universal appeal the singer really has.
As part of his recent tour, Paul spent some time in Korea. I don’t think even he could have predicted how massive he was in the country or the extent of his popularity. Paul arrived for what he thought would be a normal press conference, and was instead greeted by more than 200 journalists with 100 camera flashes firing at him.

In less than a year, Britain’s Got Talent winner Paul Potts, has conquered the world with his voice, and most recently Paul toured Australia, playing in venues like the Sydney Opera House.
“I did the Sydney bridge climb. It was awesome, with wonderful views of the harbour and the city. Went up with one other person, a warehouse manager from Manchester. It was really cool, normally you are in groups of 12 and have no time to see anything. My wife wouldn’t do it with me, although she says she may do it the next time we are there. I would definitely do it again!”
Britian’s Got Talent winner, Paul Potts just keeps going from strength to strength! He has been selling millions of records and performing to millions of people all over the world, and now Paramount, one of Hollywood’s biggest movie studios is going to make a film based on his life!
Variety.com reports that Simon Cowell, the man behind Britain’s Got Talent, on which Paul was discovered will produce the film with Relevant Entertainment’s Michael Menchel and Steve Whitney.
Simon has himself admitted that when he first saw Paul, he didn’t expect great things, but in the end was floored by the power of his voice.
“That particular day was one of the worst, the acts were just terrible, we were fed up and on comes this guy with a funny little suit and bad teeth who looked very nervous,” Cowell told Daily Variety. “I can remember looking at the other judges, with that ‘here we go again’ feeling. We had 2,000 people in the audience, and I’ll never forget how much the room changed when he began singing.”
Menchel was originally made aware of Potts by his daughters, who showed him the infamous YouTube clips, and he called Simon to suggest a movie. Paramount execs needed only to watch the YouTube clips to get behind the idea. Read more & comment »

Winner of ITV talent show, Britain’s Got Talent, paul Potts has bit back at critics who described his win as unfair and fixed because he has had prior training.
Many internet forums (not ours of course, we all support Paul wholeheartedly!) have been hiving with nasty comments about Paul, but today he has insisted that he is not the professional singer that people are insinuating he is.
But speaking to The Sun newspaper, in his first in-depth interview last night, he insisted: “I’m no pro. I’ve never hidden anything.
“I am what I am — a hidden talent working a normal day-to- day job. And I’ve never been paid for any of the opera work I’ve done before — if only!”
