Madonna has revealed that she would not consider accepting a role on The X Factor USA.

After the shocking axe of Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger from the hit Fox talent series earlier this week, word is that boss Simon Cowell is on the lookout for a couple of big named stars to join his panel and help lift the ratings.

However, he can save himself some time if he was considering asking Madonna to sign up, as she has ruled out the possibility at the Super Bowl XLVI press conference, saying:

“I think I have enough jobs. But thank you for thinking of me, if you did Simon.”

The rumour mill has been going into overdrive since Nicole and Paula’s axe and stars reported to be in talks with Cowell include Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry and even X Factor UK judge Tulisa Contostavlos.

We recently reported that Simon is so desperate to get a mega star for his series, that he has offered new mum Beyonce a whopping $500 million to take a seat next to himself and L.A. Reid.

Mariah Carey has also been linked to the show, though her husband Nick Cannon refuted the claims, saying that she is too big for the reality TV and insiders also claimed that The Black Eyed Peas’ Fergie is also a possible replacement.

Stacy Francis has admitted that she was saddened to hear that Paula Abdul has been axed from The X Factor USA.

The single mother from Brooklyn, New York reached the live finals of the hit Fox talent show last year and was mentored by Nicole Scherzinger throughout the series. However it seems that she made more of a connection with Paula.

On hearing that Nicole, Paula and Steve Jones have been dropped from The X Factor, Stacy took to Twitter to say:

“I am so sorry to hear that @PaulaAbdul wasn’t asked back to do the X FACTOR. She made the contestants feel important and loved. It is a real care and concern not just for the cameras. And as artist we needed that so much because of the stress of the show. Its sad. (sic).”

The 42 year old also linked across to an interview she did with The Hollywood Reporter on the subject and in it, she claimed that she was not shocked by Nicole’s departure, because she felt the Pussycat Dolls star had a ‘hard time’ on the show.

She added:

“The show is a lot different than anything we’ve seen and I’m not sure that she always knew how to handle it. I think it’s all very unfortunate.”

Francis also implied that Scherzinger didn’t spend enough time mentoring her contestants last year and told the publication that while Paula Abdul worked closely with her groups each week, because of Nicole’s career and music commitments, she often kept in touch via Skype only.

She admitted that Simon Cowell noticed the lack of commitment and described one incident when he put Nicole in her place, saying:

“Simon came over to me and said ‘Stacy, this is Nicole; Nicole, this is Stacy.’ I think that was his way of saying that he wanted her spending more time there.’

OMG it’s been a bloodbath over at Fox this week!

When we heard rumours yesterday that the TV network were axing three of last year’s big X Factor stars we were sure at least one of the reports would be unfounded, but this afternoon it has been confirmed that both female judges – Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul – along with host Steve Jones, have been unceremoniously dumped.

Paula confessed in a statement that while it was not her choice to go, she does understand ‘that business decisions often times override personal considerations’ and insists that she and Simon Cowell are still close pals, adding:

‘Simon is, and will remain a dear friend of mine and I’ve treasured my experience working on The X Factor USA.’

Steve Jones, as earlier reported confirmed the news on Twitter, saying that he has no hard feelings and had a ‘great time’ working on the show last year. We doubt he’s telling the truth though, because surely no one could like being slagged off that much!

Nicole Scherzinger had previously been keeping quiet about rumours that she had also finished on The X Factor, however today her spokesperson also confirmed the reports and issued a statement, which read:

”Nicole is leaving The X Factor USA to work on her music. Nicole spoke to Simon Cowell and he has given her his blessing.”

The brunette beauty later tweeted:

“Looking forward to an exciting year ahead and making great music and more! I’m grateful for the love you always give me.”

Simon Cowell seems upset over the decision and particularly over the departure of his former American Idol buddy Paula. He said:

”Paula in particular, is a very close friend and I expect to be working with her on another project in the near future.”

As used as we are to Simon’s huge and shocking gestures, here at unreality TV we do have to confess to being a little surprised by the axing of Abdul. While we would have been shocked had Steve been allowed to stay, and agree that Nicole was hardly an inspiring judge last year, we were sure that Paula was the Louis Walsh of America and would last on The X Factor until the whole show was cancelled by Fox.

That she didn’t is perhaps an indication of the fact that Simon doesn’t have the same influence over Fox that he does with British TV network ITV and can’t call the shots quite so decisively. This will be especially true after The X Factor failed to deliver with it’s ratings and instead of the 20 million people per episode that Cowell wanted to pull in, by the end of the first season the show had averaged just 11 million.

Steve Jones and Nicole Scherzinger will not be back on The X Factor this year.

A Fox official has confirmed that neither star will be back on the series when it kicks off later in 2012 and that bosses are now on the hunt for a new presenter to replace Jones and a judge to replace Scherzinger.

He refused to confirm or deny reports that Paula Abdul was also leaving the show, which would result in only Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid returning from the first series.

Later, Jones confirmed the news on Twitter, telling his followers that he had already been informed but claiming that he isn’t sad, as he’s had a ‘great time’ on the show. He wrote:

‘I wont be hosting next seasons XFactor which is a shame but I cant complain as I’ve had a great time. Good luck to everyone on the show.’

Whoever Steve’s replacement will be, one thing seems sure, it won’t be another British star. When Cowell first hired Steve many complained that he should have chosen a homegrown American presenter and the star himself conceded the fact recently, telling The Mirror:

‘I don’t think he did a bad job but, like America’s Got Talent there is a Brit limit on the show.’

Steve will now go on to front Let’s Dance For Sports Relief, on BBC One, alongside his ex-girlfriend and fellow Welsh star Alex Jones. The series will star celebrities Olly Murs, Ulrika Jonsson, Angelos Epithemiou, Eddie “The Eagle” Edwards, Amy Childs and Harry Derbidge.

Nicole has not yet made a comment on her departure, but she won’t be sitting around on her laurels, that’s for sure. Yesterday Will.i.am revealed that he was working on some new music with the star (does he like rescuing all Simon Cowell’s castoffs?) and it has also been rumoured that due to her close relationship with Andrew Lloyd Webber, the former Pussycat Dolls star is being considered as an addition to the judging panel of his new ITV show ‘Superstar.’

Simon Cowell has admitted that there is more to his friendship with Paula Abdul than meets the eye.

The music mogul was being interviewed by Barbara Walters and was asked about how his relationship with his former American Idol co-star and now X Factor co-panelist has changed over the years.

Walters gave a sneak peek of her interview with one of her ‘ten Most Fascinating People of 2011′ on The View yesterday and when she asked Cowell how he gets on with Paula, the TV boss confessed:

“We obviously like each other, I think you can see that.”

However he admitted that things weren’t always amicable between them and added:

“We didn’t like each other in the beginning, the truth was that in the first two seasons we couldn’t travel on the same plane together. We really disliked each other that much.”

When asked why he thought their friendship started off on such bad footing, the X Factor boss confessed that he thinks it’s because the choreographer always had more than platonic feelings for him. He laughed:

“I think it was sexual tension on her part. A million percent.”

Barbara asked if the ‘tension’ was just in Paula’s mind or if Cowell had ever considered adding her as a notch to his bedpost. He explained:

“I considered it but then I thought I don’t think the after would be as good as the before.

I’d let her stay a few hours but then I’d have to say goodbye.”

We can’t imagine that Paula will be too glad to hear this!

16 year old Caitlynne Curtis was seen making her bid for fame on last night’s X Factor USA episode.

The junior high student showed up in Miami, wearing a cute yellow strapless dress and matching earrings and looking like someone who had just stepped right off a Disney TV show.

Before taking to the stage, Caitlynne confessed that she was incredibly nervous about singing for the judges and told a fellow contestant that she had been to the bathroom no less than ten times while waiting behind the scenes.

Those nerves were certainly on display during her performance. Curtis sang Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’ and though she started very well and we loved her strong vocal, she was clearly terrified to be there.

Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger started the negative comments, saying:

Nicole: I think there’s room to grow, actually….I think there’s room to grow. We need someone who’s a little bit more prepared and ready.

Simon: That’s not good coming from Nicole. My advice to you would be to be in a group with three or four girls your age, where you don’t have to rely on a fantastic vocal. I don’t think your voice is good enough.

But as Paula Abdul told the young singer that she had ‘promise’, she broke down into tears and the former American Idol judge took to the stage, to comfort her. She soothed Caitlynne saying:

‘Please don’t get so upset sweetheart. Don’t take it so hard….calm down.

L.A Reid added:

“There are moments like these that create champions and winners, so you take this.”

Geo Godly certainly made an impression on last night’s X Factor USA series première.

The 43 year old blogger looked like a kooky sort from the start of his VT, as he chatted to the cameras in a strange looking velvet suit over a tie dyed t-shirt and modelled long unkempt locks.

He insisted:

‘In this competition I am willing to do whatever it takes.’

Geo later proved his point by launching into a rendition of his self penned song, which we think was titled ‘Mr Stud.

He sang:

“I’m a stud with a thud and I’m gonna pick you up,

Such a hunk, with a funk,

Too much is just enough.”

However, the most disturbing part of the audition came when he crooned, “let’s get nude, don’t be a prude,” and proceeded to strip for the panel.

We thought he’d pull down his trousers and be wearing a gold thong or the like, but Nicole Scherzinger screamed as she realised that the hairy singer had went commando for her benefit.

As some audience members with children left the audition venue, judge Paula Abdul also walked out, having had enough of Godly’s lewd behaviour and feeling the need to puke.

The rest of the panel weren’t anymore impressed than Abdul and slated the performance saying:

Simon Cowell: What the bloody hell was that? You know Geo I came here and I put $5 million on the line and that appeared….I don’t know what you’re thinking!

L.A Reid: Ok so that was offensive, disgusting, distasteful, upsetting, get him out of the building please.

Nicole Scherzinger: Yeah Geo, I’m a little traumatised. I’m going to have to say no.

Rachel Crow made her TV debut on last night’s X factor USA series premiere.

The 13 year old singer was cuter than cute when she first appeared on the new Fox talent competition and on why she decided to enter, she told cameras:

I really want to be a singer. I sing all the time, everywhere I go. My sister says it’s because I’m crazy, but I don’t think I’m crazy, I think I just love singing.

This audition is the most important thing I have ever done, in my life.

On taking to the stage, the bubbly eighth grader spoke about why she wanted to land the $5 million prize money, explaining:

My family has like no money, and let me tell you, we live in a two bedroom house and I have six people in my family. I’m a girl, I need my own bathroom.

She then launched into an impressive rendition of Duffy’s ‘Mercy.’

The talented youngster wasn’t just a good singer but she really worked the stage too, strutting around and dancing during her tune. And that smile……my goodness we could eat her whole!

The judges loved the performance from beginning to end and told young Rachel:

Simon Cowell: Rachel we spent a long time deliberating how low we took the age on this competition and oyu are the reason why we were right taking this age down. Remember these two words, Rachel Crow, because I think we’re going to be hearing a lot about you!

Cheryl Cole: You had me before you even sang and then when you sang I was like Oh My God, we’ve found ourselves a little star.

Paula Abdul: I want you to know something, what you just did is exactly what we need people to do on this stage. You delivered the goods on every level. You delivered with personality and then you opened up your mouth to sing and blew us away.

L.A. Reid: You have everything that every artist I have ever signed has. Funky, fly, feisty, sassy, soulful you got it all baby. I loved it.

Just hours before X Factor USA premieres in the States, Simon Cowell has taken pot shots at his fellow judges according to the Daily Star.

Simon reportedly branded Nicole Scherzinger “self-centred”, LA Reid “petty” and likened Paula Abdul to an “excitable dog.”

While discussing Nicole with US chat show host Jay Leno, Simon said, “She is fantastically self-centred, actually nuts.

“Every city she went to, she developed a different accent.”

Of L.A. Reid, the music mogul said, “I’ve kind of met my match with him. He’s very, very difficult to work with. He’s very petty.”

And finally, when asked what it’s like working with Paula Abdul, Simon replied, “Paula is like…if you’ve lost your dog and it goes to the pound, and the pound calls to say ‘Will you collect it?’

“Imagine that emotion when the dog sees its owner again.”

Nicole has been a busy lady this week. After her multiple outfit changes at the opening of the new Westfield shopping centre in London on Tuesday Nicole hopped on a plane to America to get back to her job as a judge on the first series of the X Factor in America.

Nicole joined her fellow judges on the red carpet and it was a battle of the sparkly dresses between Nicole and Paula Abdul, although the dresses could not have been more different really! Nicole opted for a floor sweeping number with high neck and high glamour!

The 33-year-old wore the Randi Rahmat dress with a pair of Jimmy Choo heels, a Loree Rodkin ring, Swarovski clutch bag and earrings from Diamond in the Rough. She wore her hair in a fishtail plait and we loved the look!

Paula meanwhile wore a striped mini dress with Christian Louboutin stiletto heels and structured shoulders to the screening at ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood.

The show will debut officially on September 21st at 8pm on Fox.
