Cheryl Cole has finally gotten it right!
After turning up to last week’s X Factor LA auditions is a garishly strange purple and orange trouser outfit, she shone at yesterday’s Chicago tryouts in a simply stylish spotty dress.
The former Girls Aloud singer paled beside fellow judge Paula Abdul on their recent outing, after she stunned in a sophisticated Purple gown in Los Angeles and later in a daring red low cut dress for the Fox Upfront event in New York. Read more & comment »

Cheryl Cole can’t be happy with how things are turning out on The X Factor USA.
The former Girls Aloud singer is used to being the apple of Simon Cowell’s eye on the UK version, always sitting beside him and giggling any time he says something funny, but now she has a rival for his affections.

We loved Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue’s weekly dress offs on The X Factor and are elated that now Ms C and Paula Abdul can carry on the tradition on the US version!
Last night both women attended the Fox Upfront event in New York, as the US TV network announced it’s fall schedule and both looked demure and sophisticated in their outfits.
Cheryl wore a stunning Giambattista Valli orange silk blend dress with pockets. She looked much less colourful than she has on recent outings and we can only think she must be taking some fashion advice from Simon Cowell, who reportedly hated her purple and orange ensemble at the LA auditions last week. Simon Cowell has admitted that he asked Paula Abdul to join him on the US ‘X Factor’ because she is not afraid to disagree with him.
The 48 year old choreographer sat beside the music mogul on American Idol from 2002 to 2009 and often infuriated him with her comments, praise and putdowns.
She has returned to the land of reality TV once more and Cowell said she was the natural choice as she will always speak her mind and has the ability to spot great talent.
He explained: “What’s interesting is she’s snappy. Paula. You know, she doesn’t like something. I’ve forgotten what she’s like. She doesn’t like you to disagree with her. And there were one or two disagreements. But that’s why we wanted her on the show. I think it’s important that everyone has their own viewpoint. But she is good at spotting talent. I mean I thought she was really on it the last two days and I said to her afterwards, this is the best I’ve seen you in a long time.

Cheryl Cole at X Factor USA auditions in LA
Cheryl Cole has already annoyed some X Factor fans, because they think she’s coming between Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul.
The Girls Aloud star moved Stateside this week, after being officially confirmed as a judge on the new American version of the singing show. When the televised auditions started in LA on Sunday, she was forced to sit away from Simon Cowell, as he was closely flanked by his former American Idol colleague Paula Abdul. However, roll on day two and Cheryl was back in her coveted spot, with Paula relegated to a spot further on down the table.

Simon Cowell has admitted that he wants to return to the glory days of American Idol with Paula Abdul.
The music mogul recently confirmed that the choreographer and former pop star would be joining him once more as a judge on his new American X Factor series and as they both turned up to the first LA auditions for the Fox show, he told reporters that he wants her to be as happy on his new series, as she was on the fourth and fifth season of Idol.

Paula Abdul has admitted that she “excited beyond words” to be back at Simon Cowell’s side and judging the new US version of ‘The X Factor’.
The 48 year old choreographer worked alongside the music mogul for eight years on American Idol and now joins him, L.A. Reid and Cheryl Cole on the panel of his new reality TV show and admits she “couldn’t be happier” to be working alongside 51-year-old music mogul Simon once again after the pair originally appeared together on ‘American Idol’.
She said: “I am excited beyond words to be a part of ‘The X Factor’. I couldn’t be happier to bring my love for cultivating talent and performance to such a wildly anticipated show.

We revealed earlier today that Paula Abdul would be joining Simon Cowell’s new American X Factor series as the fourth judge and now we have photo evidence!
The pair have literally just arrived at the Los Angeles auditions for the new Fox talent show and it feels strangely comforting to see them together once more.
Of course the duo worked together for eight years on American idol and Simon has always made clear that he has a soft spot for the former choreographer and pop star.

With just a few hours to go until the first X Factor USA judges auditions, Simon Cowell has finally confirmed that Paula Abdul will be returning to his side.
It had been expected that he would appoint his former American Idol colleague to the panel, after earlier confirming that record label boss L.A Reid and
X Factor UK panellist Cheryl Cole would judge on the Fox reality TV show.
Insiders have now told THR that Paula was in negotiations with Fox until late on Friday night, and the whole deal was almost ruined because the wording of contract she signed with CBS, for her recent series Live To Dance, may have prevented her working on a rival network.
