We’re not sure who got the worst deal in terms of the groups category on the X Factor this year…the acts or the judge!
Louis Walsh was assigned the groups at bootcamp and last week insinuated that he hadn’t really wanted to go back to his boyband roots again.
However, go back there he did and earlier this month he whisked seven of them off to Las Vegas where he was reunited with his old pal Sharon Osbourne and they attempted to whittle the acts down to just three for the live shows.

GMD3 may have scraped a place at X Factor judges houses by the skin of their teeth but it seems that they proved they deserved to be there when they performed for Louis Walsh in Las Vegas recently.
The three piece boyband – consisting of Greg 18, Mickey 18, Dan 19 from Windsor; Mitsotu: James 22, Holly 22, Jimmy 23 from Harrow/Kent- almost didn’t make it past bootcamp, as the judges made them go head to head with Triple J in an acapella sing off, before they would award them a place in the next round, however Louis was glad he put them through when he heard the sing God Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts for a second time.

The 21 year old singer was featured on Sunday’s episode of The X Factor, along with her best friend Stephanie McMichael, who together make up girl group Poisonous Twin. They impressed the judges enough to win a place in the final seven bands battling for a place on the live shows, along with Times Red, Union J, Mitsotu, Duke, MK1 and GMD3.

Eddy String has been letting rip about some of his fellow X Factor contestants.
The rock singer was seen impressing the judges at his audition recently, as he strode around the stage singing The Strokes ‘Last Night’ and after his energetic performance, Tulisa said:
‘When you first came on stage I thought it would be more cheese string than Eddie String but I loved it.’

There has been a LOT of reality TV crossover this year, with Lorna Bliss moving from Britain’s Got Talent to The X Factor and Louis Smith moving from The X Factor to Strictly Come Dancing and on tomorrow night’s episode of the ITV talent show the pattern will continue.
Stephanie McMichael was last seen on Big Brother in 2008, when she resided in the famous house as a fully fledged housemate and also once appeared on ITV’s Pop Stars: The Rivals alongside former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole.
Tomorrow night she will be seen making yet another attempt at finding fame, as she tries out for The X Factor as part of female duo Poisonous Twin.
