Heidi Klum will strip off for ‘Project Runway’.

The 38-year-old beauty has agreed to bare all in the promotional campaign for the upcoming ninth series of the TV competition, which she has hosted since 2004.

Lifetime TV president and general manager Nancu Dubic – who stepped in a year ago to revamp the channel’s reputation – said she chose the naked image of Heidi realising that she didn’t need to look any further for a “brazen, strong, confident and sexy” model who embodied the channel’s new values.

She said: “It’s Heidi f***ing Klum!”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Heidi posed for the pictures last week but has not yet signed off on the final images to be used.

This is not the first time Heidi – who raises four children with husband Seal – will have stripped in public.

She appeared on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres’ show in 2009 whilst pregnant with her fourth child to charity auction the Temperley dress she was wearing – and removed it whilst she was still on the set.

Heidi said: “I’ll give you it anytime. You want it right now? OK.”

Seth Aaron Henderson has won season 7 of Project Runway and more importantly scooped the £100,000 prize money, a $50,000 technology suite, an editorial feature in Marie Claire magazine and the chance to sell his clothing line on Bluefly. The 38-year-old designer from Vancouver impressed the judging panel, which included guest judge Faith Hill, with his design inspired by 1940s German and Soviet military.

Henderson finished ahead of Emilio Sosa and Mila Hermanovski in last night’s finale with Michael Kors branding his design as “exhilarating and powerful,” and Nina Garcia complimenting him for being “fearless”.

“This is kind of overwhelming,” he said as his fate was revealed. “I can’t believe I just won Project Runway!

“I’m showing my kids that hard work and love for what you do pays off and I see it in their eyes that they are proud of their father and I think that’s what this is all about for me.”

“I came here to prove something to myself, and I did that. But I guess I also impressed a lot of people along the way.”

He added that he intends to use the prize money for vacation with wife and their two children.

Hollywood super star Nicole Kidman has reportedly agreed to appear on reality TV show Project Runway: All Star Challenge.

According to Access Hollywood, the willowy red head will appear alongside Heidi Klum, judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia and style mentor Tim Gunn for the two-hour special.

The one off show will feature eight stand out contestants from the past five series of the show and will air in the US tomorrow night.

The sixth series of Project Runway season six struts back onto our screens later this month.

Tim Gunn commented: “Los Angeles is indisputably the home of the red carpet. It’s the home of film and television costume, and it has a celebrity dimension that New York doesn’t have.”

The amazing line up of A-List celebrity guest judges include Eva Longoria Parker, Christina Aguilera, Lindsay Lohan and Rebecca Romijn. The designers will have to step up their game if they want to impress these fashionistas.

PROJECT RUNWAY sees the16 designers fight it out for the chance to launch their careers with a cash prize of $100,000, a fashion spread in Marie Claire magazine and an all expenses paid trip to Paris for two. Each week, a battle of needlework – and egos – commences as the colourful contestants will be set a challenge to test their skills and imagination, with the least impressive having their design dreams ripped at the seams as they are voted off the show by the judges.

Inspired by the move to Los Angeles, the designers will take on challenges centred on the beach and the red carpet. So expect exquisite, jaw dropping gowns and fabulous bikinis. This season also promises outrageous challenges, with the most provocative outfits ever to appear on the runway. Tim Gunn commented: “We have a challenge, the outcome of which will have the blogs going crazy! I’m surprised I didn’t need CPR when it all came down the runway, because I’m still in such a state of shock about it.”

The designers who make it to the final week must compete on the biggest stage of all in the PROJECT RUNWAY finale at New York Fashion Week.

This season the contestants’ mix of natural design talent and ego doesn’t disappoint. Contestant Malvin Vein lists his favourite designer as ‘himself’ and inspiration as ‘the farmers of rural China’. The designers also have a more diverse and international background. Nicholas Putvinski, Gordana Gehlhausen and Irina Shabeyeva hail originally from Russia, Bosnia and the Republic of Georgia, respectively.

Expect fireworks as tempers flare between the 16 contestants. Heidi Klum said: “Look out for the girls. The girls are very strong on season six. There’s a lot of crying, there’s fighting going on, there’s a lot of drama going on – but especially with the girls.”

And judge Michael Kors thought J Lo would a perfect candidate he told Elle magazine:

All 12 hopefuls must create a lingerie line, consisting of three looks, before pitching their vision to judge Heidi Klum. But with only four to be commissioned to move forward with their line, the claws come out as the designers’ true colours begin to show.

With the four team leaders and lines selected, the remaining contestants are divided into teams to create the lingerie. Sparks soon begin to fly in the workroom as tensions reach an all-time high. And in the most dramatic elimination to date, one designer is sent home in an emotional farewell having threaded their last needle on the road to New York Fashion Week.

The hopefuls will not just have to design a life-size outfit for the Barbie ‘My Scene’ collection, they’ll also have to create a miniature version for the doll. Competition is fierce as not only is there a place in the next round up for grabs, but there is also a chance for the winning designer to have their creation manufactured and sold as part of the Barbie ‘My Scene’ range. But for one contestant this challenge will be the end of the line, as Heidi Klum must once again cut the contenders down to size.
