Welsh Radio Stations Boycott Leon Jacksons Debut Single

Swansea Bay Radio, Bridge FM, Radio Pembrokeshire, Radio Carmarthenshire and Scarlet FM – all owned by Town and Country Broadcasting have refused to play the song as they believe that many of Rhydian’s supporters were unable to register their phone votes on Saturday night, resulting in him losing the show.

“Our radio station presenters have been inundated with calls suggesting that during Saturday’s X Factor their votes for Welsh favourite Rhydian, supported by local Neath diva Katherine Jenkins, were not able to be counted as lines were jammed,” programme manager Gareth Davies told Radiotoday.co.uk. Leon Jackson Wins X Factor: Rhydian Was Robbed!!!

I am gutted! I spent most of last night’s X Factor press event, telling all and sundry of the press world how much Leon Jackson failed to inspire me and how furious I would be if he won, of course in saying that I managed to jinx myself and set him up to take the X Factor crown!

In an ideal world Leon would have left the show first last night…..in fact in an ideal world X Factor’s most boring singer would have left in week two. But in the real world Same Difference were the first act voted off the show last night, and when the result emerged I had an awful sinking feeling about what was to come.

Leon Jackson was the first to sing the winners single, ‘If You Believe’, his version was distictly underwhelming, especially in comparison to Rhydian’s flawless performance. Read more & comment »

X Factor: Rhydian Roberts Wants To Win The Most!

In an interview with The Sun, X Factor finalist, Rhydian Roberts has claimed that he wants to win more than any of the other finalists on the TV show.

He says: “I’m always self-confident on stage and my performances have been pretty consistent, but the others have been growing. “Leon is really catching me up because he was so nervous at the start, and people like to watch that journey. Also the judges are bigging him up. So that’s my worry. I do love both the acts but it’s been getting tense in the last two weeks. There’s an air of competitiveness now which there wasn’t before.

“It’s a huge prize and we all want it. But I think I probably want it more than the others. And I think if you asked the others, they would agree. Read more & comment »

X Factor Final: Songs and Details HERE!!!

I am so excited about this weeks X Factor that I might just wee my pants….OK, too much information I know, but the X Factor final is always one of the best nights TV of the year.

We have been provided with the contestants song choices for Saturday night, and based on those alone I think that Rhydian Roberts finishing in top position is almost a certainty. O Holy Night is one of those songs that touches peoples hearts when it is sang well, it was one of Leona’s best performances last year and Rhydian is sure to follow suit.

I’m not so sure about Jason Donovan singing with Same Difference. I think that out of all the acts, Simon Cowell’s remaining group have drawn the short straw. I love Jason, but when was the last time he had a hit record? I think I was about 13 at the time, and let me tell you, that wasn’t recently. And how many songs are written for three people? Jason and Sarah could sing especially for you while Sean does a groovy dance, but I don’t think it would be a vote stealer.

You’ll notice that I haven’t mentioned Leon. There is a reason behind this. I’m afraid that if we mention him too much, we may attract more attention and therefore more votes to the worst X Factor dancer ever. Therefore I am going to keep my lips buttoned and hope that there is a breakdown in the Scottish telephone network on Saturday night.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings…….here are the songs: Read more & comment »
