Johnny Robinson and Robbie Williams have become unlikely pals, after meeting backstage at The X Factor.

The Take That star was visiting with his bandmate and show judge Gary Barlow on Sunday night, when Johnny and the other X Factor finalists returned to perform their new charity single with JLS and One Direction.

The pair hit it off and spent ages chatting about the existence of aliens and UFOs and the newly married singer even invited the former drag queen to his home in LA to go UFO spotting.

Johnny told The Sun:

“Robbie was a gentleman, really lovely. We had a long chat about UFOs as we are both interested in them.

“We’ve both seen UFOs and I have done a lot of research so Robbie was interested in talking about them.”

A source added: “People often take the mickey out of him for his belief in aliens but Johnny was right there with him. They had an animated chat which went on for ages.

“Rob was telling him about UFO trips he goes on in the States, where they travel to ‘hotspots’ to hunt extra-terrestrials. He suggested Johnny try one as he really rates them.”

Williams is said to be so obsessed with UFOs that he once spent months visiting observatories in the Arizone desert looking for them. He believes that he has already had a sighting and once said:

“I was lying on my sun lounger outside at night. Above me was a square thing that passed over my head silently and shot off.”

Misha B had her spirits lifted after last night’s X Factor results show, with a hug from none other than the amazing Robbie Williams.

After competing in her third sing off and narrowly avoiding elimination yesterday, the Mancunian singer was a little down when she came off stage. However things improved when the Take That star came up for a chat.

Describing the incident, Misha tweeted:

Can’t BELIEVE It…When I Survived The eviction I Was Welcomed off The Stage By THEE …Robbie Williams What A GENUINE MAN! So INSPIRATIONAL

Kelly Rowland also got some time with the hunky singer and told her Twitter followers:

I looooove me some Robbie!!!!!

She also tweeted out the picture above.

Kelly takes two acts onto next week’s X Factor semi final but most people seem to think that neither Misha B nor Amela Lily can win. Bookies are tipping with Marcus Collins or Little Mix for the crown, after Janet Devlin was eliminated last night.

Craig Colton has revealed that he has two major music stars backing his future career.

The former biscuit factory worker was eliminated from the ITV series on Sunday night, after a heated sing off with 17 year old Amelia Lily. However he is far from devastated about the fact and in an interview with The Sun today, revealed that he will have the best of advice from this point onwards.

Many fans blame Craig’s mentor Gray Barlow for his poor song choice on Saturday and Colton himself has admitted that the track probably did lead to his axe. But he is very vocal in his praise for the dad of three and said that Barlow has promised to work with him in the future. He explained:

“He wasn’t just a mentor, he became a really good friend. Gary is going to help me.”

Craig also has support from another corner and admitted that Gary’s Take That bandmate Robbie Williams has also been in touch. He added:

“After Judges’ Houses, I kept in touch with Robbie as well. He’s been really supportive. I’m passionate about songwriting and he’s been helping me with that.”

“He demonstrated on a few of his own tracks how he wrote them.”

Last week the Liverpudlian singer also met with former show contestant Danyl Johnson. Newspapers claimed that the pair were enjoying a romantic date, but later Craig insisted that Dan was speaking to him about some producers he ahd been working with, setting up some introductions for Craig and talking about life after the X Factor.

It sounds like Craig is well prepared for the road ahead.

Olly Murs has admitted that Robbie Williams is keen to work with him again.

The Xtra Factor presenter performed a duet with the Take That star when he reached the X Factor finals back in 2009 and Rob has always been a big fan of Olly’s cheeky chappy style.

In an interview with The Daily Star, Murs confessed that he met up with Williams again recently, while filming the judges houses rounds with his bandmate Gary Barlow in LA and they discussed the possibility of him appearing as a support act on Williams’ upcoming UK tour.

Olly, 27, revealed: “It was great seeing Robbie again, we haven’t had chance to chat in a long time.

“We chatted about his new album and I heard a few bits. It was shame it was all finished because I would have loved to have worked with him.

“But in the meantime he has asked if I would support him on tour next year.

“We are just thrashing it out now, but that would be amazing. Imagine going on tour with Robbie Williams. I’d love it.”

Robbie rejoined the ranks of Take That earlier this year, for their European ‘Progress Live’ tour, but has decided to go solo again for the time being and is currently working on a new album and plans for his tour.

Gary Barlow has confirmed thgat Take That is a four piece band once more.

The group welcomed former band member Robbie Williams back to the fold for their Progress tour earlier this year, but he is now back working as a solo singer and planning a new album in 2012.

X Factor judge Gary told The Radio Times that their time as a five piece was ‘beautiful’ and added that Williams will be welcome to return at any stage in the future.

He said:

“It was beautiful. We got on well. We finished the tour. We’re all happy.”

However a Take That spokesperson clarified Gary’s comments and said that the group are simply ‘on a break’ and will be back.

“I can confirm that the band are not splitting and there is no pending announcement of a split,” he said.

Barlow told Radio Times: “The fans have come along and been happy. Great, great, great, great, great.

“Now Rob’s doing a solo record, and from this point it’s back to where it was.”

“You know what, we can revisit it whenever we want.

“He’s our brother, Rob is, and if he’s ever in trouble or he wants to have a year off being Robbie Williams, he’s welcome any time he wants.”

Speaking on The Xtra Factor last night, Gary revealed that he had even taken some time at X Factor judges houses, to work and write on Williams’ new record while staying with him in LA.

Gary Barlow has admitted that he and Robbie Williams made the most of their time together in LA recently.

The X Factor judge had enlisted the help of his Take That bandmate at judges houses, as he tried to choose between his final eight contestants and bring just four on to the live shows.

However, in between filming the pair also got together and recorded some music of their own and speaking on Jonathan Ross this evening, Gary admitted:

Rob’s doing a solo record and I’ve been writing a lot on that with him and in fact when we did judges houses we did some writing and recording before we even sat down.

The dad of three also admitted that he is hoping to be asked back to The X Factor next year, and crossing his fingers that Simon Cowell won’t want his seat back, if The X Factor USA flops in the states. Speaking about how he has found working on reality TV so far, he added:

I’ve loved it. Absolutely enjoyed every minute and would love to do it again.

Tomorrow’s X Factor episode will see Gary and his fellow judges revealing which final 16 contestants they have chosen to compete on the live rounds.

Robbie Williams made quite an impression on the X factor lads, when he first met them at judges houses last month.

The Take That singer was in LA, to assist his bandmate Gary Barlow in whittling down his final eight contestants to just four, for the live rounds.

It was a nerve wracking time for Marcus Collins, John Wilding, Joe Cox, Frankie Cocozza, Luke Lucas, Max Vickers, James Michael and Craig Colton, but Williams lightened the mood on their first day, by greeting them in a revealing outfit.

He was introduced by Barlow and emerged wearing just a few palm leaves, stuck onto nude coloured boxers.

The ‘Angels’ hitmaker laughed:

“I saw Sinnita in it and thought, that’s what I want to do! What do you reckon lads?”

Marcus was just un-phased by the outfit and just elated that they hadn’t been landed with the real Sinitta, while Frankie exclaimed:

“This is not happening, he’s not actually here!”

Joe Cox seemed stoked too and was in shock that he would be singing for Robbie. He raved:

“I honestly couldn’t have got any better than Robbie. I love him!”

Craig Colton did such a good job when he performed at judges houses, that Robbie Williams threatened to fall out with Gary Barlow if he didn’t put him through.

The Take That stars were judging the final eight X Factor boys in LA, and trying to decide which four would be best for the upcoming live shows, when Liverpool lad Craig blew them away with his rendition of ‘Halo’ by Beyonce.

Before singing, Craig said:

“When I entered the competition I never thought I’d get this far. When I originally auditioned for the show I was working for a biscuit factory and now that I am actually sitting in LA. I just hope it doesn’t end here.”

After his performance Williams was blown away and raved:

“Do you know what because you know what I was saying before? Watching all of the auditions, nobody that’s hit you right between the chest? That kind of did.”

“That voice is really good, he’s got a load of control on it he can do whatever he wants with it. I’ll fall out with you if you don’t give him good grating.”

Gary laughed:

“We’re not back there are we? Let’s not go back there…we were doing so well.”

Robbie then teased:

“Alright Gaz we won’t…We were for a while, we toured, we did an album, everything was going well and then it fell apart on X Factor.”

To which Barlow responded:

“We were doing so well…I can’t believe it, was it that easy?”

Robbie Williams has admitted that he thinks Gary Barlow is much more suited to The X factor than he could ever be.

The Take That singer assisted his bandmate at his recent judges houses stage in LA and spiced things up by meeting the last eight boys, wearing just some palm leaves – Sinitta style. He also helped Gary whittle the contestants down to just four for the live shows, but Williams thinks that is the extent of his usefulness, believing that he is too emotional to be a full time judge on the show.

Robbie explained that he couldn’t stand the pressure, saying:

“I would like to be a judge for a night but not four months. I was sat out there today thinking, ‘Wow, this is great’. But that’s all it is, a great day.

“I don’t think Gaz feels pressure. He’s not like me, he’s not temperamental or emotional. He goes in, gets the job done and leaves.

“If I was doing it, I would desensitise myself to the emotion. But I would find it difficult. How do you break a 16 year old’s heart? Who wants to do that?”

Robbie also issued a warning to Gary’s fellow X Factor judges and said that Tulisa Contostavlos, Louis Walsh and Kelly Rowland should be aware that his pal is incredibly competitive and will go on to the live rounds of the show, eager to win and putting his all into his category.

He added to The Daily Star:

“He’s going to be hands-on, full-on, closer than anyone has been in the past.

“The ones that are going to make it need a protective arm guiding them. Gary knows what he’s doing. He speaks with authority and when I work with him, he’s got a better angle on this business.

“So I know he’s in a better position up there saying what he’s saying than I would be.

“When it comes to anything else other than music, he’s not competitive at all. But he’s passionate about music and he wants to win.”

Gary was seen on Sunday night’s X Factor episode, finding out that he would be mentoring the boys and informing them of their judges houses location. He and Robbie will be featured this weekend, choosing between the hopefuls and sending half of them home.

Robbie Williams emulated Sinitta at this year’s X Factor’s judges houses stage and appeared in front of the hopefuls with just a few palm leaves covering his privates, it has been reported.

The Take That star was joining his bandmate Gary Barlow, as he whittled down eight hopeful singers to four for the upcoming live shows. The men listened to each young man sing two songs, however when they first arrived at his LA mansion, Williams greeted the contestants by stripping naked and protecting his modesty with some foliage.

Onlookers claim that Barlow had no idea what Robbie had in mind and was shocked when his pal emerged with no clothes on.

A source told The Sun: “It was hilarious. Gary, the contestants and crew were stunned.

“Robbie just stood there stark naked apart from these tiny leaves.”

Insiders claim that the idea was thought up by Rob’s wife, Ayda, who thought he should take a leaf (see what we did there?) out of Sinitta’s book and spice proceedings up a bit.

The source said: “Ayda has a cheeky side and convinced Rob it would be a good laugh. He was immediately game.”

Gary revealed yesterday that he has never seen as many tears as he did from the boys at judges houses, but insisted that he won’t be blubbing like a baby on the ITV show.
