X Factor 2012: 24 become 25 at Judges’ Houses as Rough Copy are axed & Union J (formerly Triple J but with George Shelley) AND Times Red take their place!

As we saw in last night’s final Boot Camp edition of this year’s X Factor, 24 acts made it through to the next stage, which is of course the Judges’ House round…

However, overnight, it’s been revealed that the Groups category – which is to be mentored by Louis Walsh – took one step backwards and two forwards in that boy band Rough Copy was AXED and fellow boy bands Union J, who were Triple J originally, and Times Red were both brought back.

The hoohah began when, as we reported a few weeks ago, Rough Copy’s Kas – aka Kazeem Ajobe – left the UK to visit Nigeria, however, when he tried to return, he discovered that he didn’t have the correct visa status and so was not permitted to enter the country.

So of course, that became the sad end of their X Factor journey, but as ever on this show, bad news for one person equated to good news for another, several others actually as Louis decided to bring Times Red and Triple J back… Read more & comment »

X Factor 2012: Boy band Rough Copy booted from show over Kazeem Ajobe visa saga!

One of the judges’ favourite boy bands, Rough Copy, have been flying through the rounds during this year’s early stages of The X Factor, which is of course back on our screens tonight…

However, despite being labeled as “brilliant talent”, Rough Copy have been booted from the contest because band member Kazeem Ajobe doesn’t have the correct visa status to return to the UK.

Therefore, if he left Britain to go to Judges’ Houses – which the band should have been doing – he would be refused entry to the UK on his return.

Last night Kazeem, who was born in Nigeria but who lives in South London, along with fellow band members Sterling Ramsay and Joseph Thomas, told the Daily Mirror, “We are gutted that we have had to leave the competition as we were having such a great time… Read more & comment »
