One more week and then the final, with ten weeks behind us.

First up, performing advanced tricks on the Corde Lisse was Grace, thrilling the crowds with her daring death defying, five metre drop at ten miles an hour, with her usual graceful manoeuvres. Each week Grace pulls off new and more daring feats than ever before. Although flawless, Anne managed to find a minor hand movement to knock off a point. Her points from Philip 10, Anne 9 and Louis 9 gave her a good start to the evening. She deserved tens across the board.28

Kenzie walked the 20 ft high wire, thinner than a five pence coin, blindfolded and keeping his balance with a long bar. He pulled it off with great form. The judges were impressed and rewarded him with nines across the board. 27

Emma B followed with the high wire, blindfolded and no pole, at her own choice but only managed two steps before falling. Her ever doting judges still gave her an eight from Philip, a nine from Anne whose judging was completely out the whole night and seven from Louis. This was a ridiculous score for the only person who failed to perform her discipline. Two steps, indeed! 24

Andy Kane was the bookies outsider and many wondered what he was doing in the semi finals. His discipline was the rola rola. He pulled off one manoeuvre but fell as he tried to stand up in the second trick. The commentator felt he had not held the first trick long enough and failed the second but the judges thought he deserved a 7 from Philip a ridiculous ten from Anne (does she have a clue on how to judge?) Louis a nine with lots of laughter with Anne. Do these judges have any idea of what they are doing to the hard working contestants who pulled off their manoeuvres and received lower scores. It might be a joke to Anne and Louis but not to the other contestants. 26

To prove my point of the ridiculous point distribution…Grace performed a death defying trick faultlessly and received nines from Louis and Anne who also gave Andy a ten and nine for a badly executed manoeuvre (2nd one not succeeded in) Emma received an eight, seven and nine for a failed manoeuvre with only two steps on the high wire.

Grace, blindfolded on the high wire, did a faultless crossing to receive two tens but Louis gave her a nine because she had the bar for balance, which was part of the trick. How unfair is that when every point counts

Kenzie on the Corde lisse performed, elegantly and daringly, multiple smooth manoeuvres. A great strong dramatic performance. 8 from Philip, 8 from Anne and 9 from Louis. 25

Emma B, in spite of obvious flaws in her manoeuvres on the cloud swing received tens across the board???? Some of her tricks were impressive.

Andy’s completed high wire, blindfolded walk with the bar earned 24 points that is eights across the board.

Something should really be done about Anne’s erratic judging and favouritism.

The final scores were Grace leading with 57 Emma B with an undeserved 54 Kenzie with 52 and Andy with 50. The public votes put Andy and Kenzie at the bottom with Emma B choosing Andy to go home. (Why is a competitor voting another competitor out and so close to the end?)

Two weeks to go with Grace, Emma and Kenzie competing against each other next week.

This article was written by Evelyn Lewis an Unreality Tv contributor. The competitiveness between Emma B and Grace has reached new heights with amazing performances from both girls. Each contestant had to perform using the 400kgm Russian Swing, with the second challenge coming from the judges, being past disciplines with the expectation of advanced manoeuvres.

When Emma opened on the straps, I thought ‘Nothing can beat this’, her performance was daring, flawless with new manoeuvres perfectly executed. Her lines were exquisite and showmanship second to none, or so I thought. She had stated that she was working hard to beat Grace again this week and earn a ten. From her first performance of the night, I was convinced she would. She did a daring neck hang after rising with multiple spins, posing at intervals. Great show with a very smooth ending. The judges said she had given a brave and very good performance with beautiful transitions earning a nine, eight and much hoped for ten giving her a total of 27

Next up was Andy Kane (who had wanted to give up last week), on the Russian swing. One of the trainers had taken him aside and told him to get back in there and make it work for him and not think of leaving. He was encouraged enough to state that he was going to give it 110%. After a good entrance and a troupe to help him, Andy swung out from the Russian Swing, pulled off a manoeuvre before making a messy landing. Back onto the Russian swing for a high somersault with a second untidy landing earning him a score of 21 out of thirty for a brave performance.

Kenzie on the aerial straps, takes judges comments very seriously and acts on their advice, hoping to make it to the semi finals. With only five couples left he realises he is going to have to work very hard. Once hooked up he swung around to the music, with an excellent flying start. Good lines but needed more of an angle to his body. Bit slow in get unstrapped. Next the bungee straps which hauled him right to the top of the tent where he executed dramatic manoeuvres Judges felt he had accomplished a bold performance with good showmanship, lines and strength but Philip Ghandi felt that it lacked talent. He received 23 points.

A confident, smiling Grace Adams-Short made a superbly elegant entrance and once strapped up, gracefully sprang onto the Russian Swing and astounded us with her daring triple somersault, nicely executed, little shaky in landing but finished the manoeuvre with graceful showmanship movements. With obvious excitement she returned to the dreaded Russian Swing to once again thrill us with further fearless manoeuvres ending back on the ground with splits. A stunning, fantastic performance with only her old enemy Judge Anne, finding something to criticise. The other judges said it was fabulous, good timing (essential), mastered perfectly and fearless. Yet she received a twenty five. Nine from Philip and eight from Anne and Louis. 25.

Jamie Baulch had the Cordelisse to contend with after a nice entrance. Fast spins, upside down, various manoeuvres, one hand spins and climbed the rope to wave with showman smiles after which he descended well. The judges felt he had not performed anything new as the routine was ‘old stuff’. After six weeks of training they expected more from him even though he showed wonderful grace, finesse and control. A bit of disagreement amongst the judges but to his disappointment, his overall score of twenty said it all.

Emma B on the Russian Swing was hurled twenty feet into the air with a sloppy pose and bad landing. With only two weeks to go, more is expected from the contestants. Although a clumsy and jarred performance Emma’s showmanship was excellent. In spite of the shoddy performance the judges said they loved watching her, good form, makes it look effortless, comfy in the air, good job etcetera. There is a definite bias here as no one could call it good. She was excellent in her first discipline but the second was more like a practice run. For that bad performance she was given a 24. Come on judges.

Andy’s second discipline was the aerial strap. He is very popular with the audience, receiving cheers and chanting his name which was very encouraging for him. A good strong performance earning him much praise from the judges who rewarded him with a well deserved twenty six.

The Russian Swing was Kenzie’s second discipline. Nice smooth mount, good swing and best landing tonight. His confidence has grown which was shown by a good somersault but bad landing. The judges were disappointed and gave him 21 points

A brilliant, romantic performance from Grace on the aerial strap with the Russian trainer. Many dangerous and daring feats were performed with grace pirouetting in the air and convincingly playing out a love story. Judge Philip said he only employed top artists for his circus and she would be his choice to be one of them. She received a ten and two nines putting her at the top, for the night, with fifty three points. Well deserved.

James did well in his second discipline with a good strong performance and excellent landing, earning 27points. Good performance and showmanship.

Final total points: Grace 53, Emma B 51, Andy and James 47 and Kenzie 44.

The public voted Kenzie and James into the bottom two and Grace (once again) had to choose who had to go. She chose surprisingly, chose James.

Only four competitors left and two weeks to go, who will make the finals.

This article was written by Evelyn Lewis, a contributor here at Unreality TV. Grace being her usual brilliant self was told that she was a natural circus performer but she disagreed saying that she is where she is, due to sheer hard work every inch of the way. She kept us all glued to our TV’s as she manoeuvred her way through breathtaking hands free ankle drops, angel, splits and many more exciting acts. She deserves to be top week after week with her dangerously daring, flawless routines.

The men had to master the swinging trapeze with strength, agility and technical aggression and the ladies, the aerial swing with grace, romance and lovely lines.

Emma B was a pleasure to watch as she, with visual ease, smoothly glided through her aerial swing performance. Very romantic. Her one knee hang off the handsome Russian bearer, Valero’s foot, was particularly impressive.

Jamie awed us with his adventurous reverse roll and knee drop, standing on the bar and dropping to hang by the ankles. A really powerful performance

Not only do the contestants perform on Saturday night but they also have to erect the tent, put out the chairs and prepare everything for the evening show.

Andy stunned us with his most difficult ankle drop, smoothly performed, standing on the bar and dropping to hang by his arms and then neck only. The judges were most impressed with this with Louis saying it was a truly technical performance.

Sophie went through her acts with ease, romance, beautiful lines, interesting manoeuvres to receive a shocking 17 out of 30 due to Anne and Philip’s poor marking. Louis voiced his appreciation and matched it with a good score. Sophie has been at enmity with the judges but should this impact on their scoring? She has been said not have turned up for enough practice but in fairness she has had a kidney infection and full modelling commitments. In spite of this, we thought she put on an outstanding performance.

We did not expect to see Nicola and James as the bottom two contestants as both had earned well deserved high points whereas Ninia and Kenzie had not. Is this system working when top performers are knocked out? Kenzie had to make the final choice as to who was to go and we are now deprived of an outstanding performer. Had James gone, it would have been an equally great loss.

Being half way through the Cirque de Celebrite challenge, the judges and trainers, alike, have expressed expectancy of greater achievements from the contestants. This should be a very exciting event and not to be missed.

This article was written by Evelyn Lewis, our newest contributor at Unreality TV. Welcome aboard Evelyn. A buzz from beginning to end with well known celebrities such as Sophie Anderton, Emma B, Grace Adams-short and many more, contesting. The star of the show to date being Grace Adams-Short who has outshone the other contestants by sheer hard work and determination. Her pluck is to be admired as she falls, hurts herself over and over again and gets up to continue on in an effort to perfect her act of the week. In spite of tears and raw pain, she pushes on to become the star of the show, week after week, smiling through it all. The trainers love working with her as she is the first to arrive for practices and the last to leave and very willing to learn.

Each contestant must be congratulated for their courage and endurance as they take on the tasks put to them, with some performing better than others. Unfortunately we still get the contestant who gets unfair favour, due to a pretty face or good body, earning points not deserved but as the public have no say over the judges, who rule supreme, the untouchables, this seems to be becoming more common with the various competitive shows. Some contestants have learned to play up to the judges to scrape together a few extra points, while others rely totally on hard work.

Cirque de Celebite is a very exciting, fast moving show with plenty of colour and variety of acts and contestants working up to a pitch of competitiveness and enthusiasm. Every second is exhilarating and well worth watching. Plenty of glamour with Nicola Wheeler from the soapies, models Emma B and Sophie Anderton (a favourite from Love Island) and Grace Adams-Short of BB7. Young heartthrob, Kenzie had a bad week but a pleasure to watch in previous episodes.

The decision to let a chosen fellow contestant decide which of the two lowest public scoring contestants should leave the show, is a very strange and unfair move on behalf of the organizers, as obviously, the better of the two performers has been voted off each week. Thus our sad loss of the very talented and beautiful Sinita of the X factor and said to be ex girlfriend of Simon Cowell.

Another strange decision was to bring back a competitor who was obviously not qualified for the job and who had been knocked out in previous weeks, to temporarily stand in as judge in the absence of the regular judge. He knew nothing about the circus when he came on the show as a competitor. Did not last long before he was knocked out. Had no knowledge on the acts now been performed and yet was allowed to judge the other contestants. Madness. Not only that but he was the final judge and could sway the outcome of the two previous judge’s points with his own. He was seldom in keeping with the other judges. If he had been put in the middle then the third judge could have brought in a little more of a balance but surely it would have been better to have made one of the trainers a judge instead. There were 3 new disciplines to be mastered this week, namely the Aerial Hoop (20’ off the ground), the Roller Roller (think balancing on stacked pieces of plastic pipe and planks) and the Bungee (acrobatics in an elasticated harness).

Exhibiting daring and poise on the Aerial Hoop, were a near-naked Emma B (scoring a creditable 21 with the judges despite a rib injury sustained in training), Sophie complaining of a kidney infection and getting a critical panning from the judges (15), Grace (the hardest training celeb according to the coaches) once again proving a favourite with the panel and crowd (25) and Lee ‘The Chimp’ Zammo (16) making up in enthusiasm what he lacked in grace and elegance (this despite the ballet classes he had taken during the week).

Performing balancing feats on the Roller Roller were Jamie, athletic as ever (and scoring 23, his best total yet with the judges), a very handy Andy making the discipline look easy and performing a ‘triple stack’ routine that would normally take 6 months to master (24) and Nicola who held her nerve despite some bad falls in training (23).

Spinning up on the Bungee were a graceful Sinitta (21), Kenzie putting on a blazin’ best performance of the night according to his trainers, including a breathtaking quintuple somersault (23) and Ninia, described by Ring Mistress Ruby as a “giant leopard-skin flying planet making many in the crowd worried for their health as she bounced haphazardly around the roof of the big top (17).

Once audience votes had been added to the judge’s scores, Sinitta and Nicola were bottom of the bill. The difficult task of choosing who should stay then fell to Andy who picked Nicola for her courage and commitment in mastering the most difficult of the night’s disciplines. Thus a sad Sinitta said goodbye to the Cirque, leaving the remaining 9 celebrities to tackle 3 new circus skills for next week’s show – the Cloud Swing, the Unicycle and the Bolus. What are they? You’ll have to watch on Sky One next Sunday at 7pm to find out.

For more Cirque De Celebrite gossip and chat check out our FORUM!

View the original post Sinitta Leaves Cirque De Celebrite on Unreality TV

Syed Ahmed Leaves Cirque De Celebrite

Reality TV

Cirque De Celebrite

Ruby Wax

Syed Ahmed

Sky One reports: Week 2 at the Cirque de Celebrité saw the stars mastering two new (harder) disciplines, the low wire (it was still 8 feet in the air) or ‘bacon slicer’ as it is also known and the ‘corde lisse’ (acrobatics on a spinning rope 15 feet in the air). Grace, topping the scores once again had to make the final decision and elected to save Sophie. Syed left the glitz, glamour and sawdust behind to resume his career in business.

For more Cirque De Celebrite gossip and chat check out our FORUM!

View the original post Syed Ahmed Leaves Cirque De Celebrite on Unreality TV

Cirque De Celebrite: A Star Studded Audience!

Reality TV

Cirque De Celebrite

Ruby Wax

Simon Cowell

Many people have criticised Cirque De Celebrite for its lack of real celebrities, however the show’s audience for their opening night was certainly not lacking in A listers!
