Comedian and DJ Russell Brand is of course a controversial figure, and during an appearance on Alan Carr’s chat show – which airs tomorrow night on Channel 4 – he didn’t shy away from making his trademark outrageous remarks.
But on a lighter note, Brand told Carr that since his split from former wife Katy Perry, he’s fully embraced all that being a single man has to offer, claiming that he gets more action in bed than One Direction’s Harry Styles.

Harry Styles has caused upset amongst Directioners everywhere tonight, with his latest tweet.
The One Direction singer previously admitted that he is a big fan of Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence and he told fans last month that he was backing her to win an Oscar for Best Actress for her role in the movie Silver Linings Playbook.

Comedian Russell Brand recently took part in a Heatworld Q&A with fans while promoting his forthcoming Give It Up for Comic Relief benefit gig, which will be held at London’s Wembley Arena on March 6…
And during the session, Russell was asked about One Direction – who are of course themselves big supporters of Comic Relief – and if he’s ever met the band members.

Oh dear, as if poor Geri Halliwell hasn’t had enough humiliation this week, now ITV are planning to show her begging for a job on this weeks X Factor!
Geri, who woke up recently to headlines showing her new, and way out of her league, boyfriend, Russell Brand, emerging from a hotel with a woman who was absolutely not her, will be shown in this week’s audition episodes, begging head judge Gary Barlow for the vacant judges job, filmed earlier this year, along with Gary’s very brutal refusal!

David Walliams turned 41 over a week ago, but he apparently hadn’t had the chance to celebrate yet….until last night that is and what better way to celebrate than with your best friends, watching your favourite film, dressed as your favourite character.
That’s exactly what the Britain’s Got Talent judge did yesterday and dressed as a suave and very convincing James Bond with Bond girl Lara Stone on his arm the actor entered the BFI to present his screen epiphany film, The Spy Who Loved Me.
The movie is Walliams’ favourite of the Bond francise and starred his close friend Roger Moore as 007, alongside Barbara Bach, Curd Jurgens as villain Karl Stromberg and Jaws – played by Richard Kiel.

The lineup of this year’s Olympic ceremonies is supposed to be a closely guarded secret but leaked documents have revealed some of the big named stars who have been booked to perform at both the opening and closing of the games.
Some of the biggest, most famous and most legendary British stars are on the bill it would seem and insiders have claimed that audiences around the world will be wowed by a spectacular two hour long closing ceremony, which will feature Take That and The Who along with a whole host of other musical acts.

With the future of the X Factor judging panel as uncertain as ever, to help with the audition stages of the competition as they travel to Glasgow, US signing sensation, Anastacia, has been drafted in as a guest judge.
Since the auditions began a few weeks ago, the lack of a permanent fourth judge has seen a string of stand in guest judges take the vacant seat to decide who to send through to the boot camp stage of the competition, including Geri Halliwell, Nicole Scherzinger and Rita Ora.

David Walliams continues to be the busiest Britain’s Got Talent judge, besides Simon Cowell. Today it was revealed that he and Russell Brand are amongst the performers that agreed to perform at Amnesty International’s Secret Policeman’s Ball in New York. It is the first time David will perform live comedy in the USA so it is a big step for him. The show will be broadcast live on cable and internet from Radio City Music Hall on March 4. Other performers at the show include: Sarah Silverman, Paul Rudd, Chris O’Dowd (“Bridesmaids”), Peter Serafinowicz, Noel Fielding, Matt Berry, Micky Flanagan and Jack Whitehall.

Russell Brand is such a big X Factor fan, that he has reportedly begged his wife Katy Perry to make a return to the show.
The British comedian has been married to the ‘Firework’ hitmaker for just over a year and insiders say that he is keen for her to make an appearance on the new series and take him along with her for a visit.
Insiders say that she’s happy to go along with his plan and is already performing a huge stage performance for one of the upcoming live results shows.
