Britain’s Got Talent’s Ryan O’Shaughnessy heading to America!

Ryan O’Shaughnessy is pressing ahead with his music career and this week the Britain’s Got Talent star confirmed that he was travelling to America for the next step in his plan.

The Irish singer-songwriter and former actor from Skerries, Dublin, is of course best known for reaching the final BGT last year, finishing in fifth place, as well as appearing on the first series of The Voice of Ireland.

Britain’s Got Talent 2012: Hear Ryan O’Shaughnessy’s mini-album before its release next week!

Today’s edition of The Sun online has exclusively landed a copy of Britain’s Got Talent star Ryan O’Shaughnessy’s mini-album, a full three days prior to its official release.

Of Ryan’s six track mini-album – which contains songs he wrote himself – the paper states, “The lead track and his debut single is the very same enchanting melody he performed on BGT – which secured him a place in the final of the show.”

That song is of course ‘No Name’ which Ryan wrote for Katie Lucia Keegan, who he describes as “a really good friend” despite evidently having feelings of a romantic nature towards her. Bless him.

When singer songwriter Ed Sheeran first heard Ryan performing No Name on BGT, he tweeted, “Great song, great voice,” and of course, thousands of viewers grew a big soft spot for lovelorn Ryan after hearing the ballad… Read more & comment »

Irish singer Ryan O’Shaughnessy faced one adversity after another to end up finishing in fifth place on this year’s Britain’s Got Talent, and while some people might have been put off a career in music after being pipped to the BGT final post by a dancing doggie, Ryan has fortunately gone from strength to strength…

And of course, as fans of his will know, his debut album goes on general release on August 13th, while his single ‘No Name’ which he wrote for his heart’s desire Katie Lucia Keegan, is released on August 5th.

Britain’s Got Talent’s Ryan O’Shaughnessy will write a new song with One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson – 1D thrown out of Las Vegas casinos!

Ryan O’Shaughnessy could be about to write a new song with one Direction star Louis Tomlinson.

The Britain’s Got Talent star is working hard on his debut album, after finding fame on the ITV show earlier this year. He is hoping to release his collection of self penned songs later this year and told The Daily Star that he may have some star power behind the record when it does hit the shelves.

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson to write track with BGT’s Ryan O’Shaughnessy! (VIDEO)

It’s been reported today that when One Direction return to the UK from their current tour, band member Louis Tomlinson will be spending some time with Britain’s Got Talent finalist Ryan O’Shaughnessy in order to collaborate on a new track.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Ryan said, “I’ve been speaking to Louis out of One Direction on Twitter, and he said he’d like to write a song with me, so we will do that soon.”

He added, “I love getting to know somebody new and writing something from scratch.”

Ryan’s first single ‘No Name’ – which he of course wrote for 19 year old Katie Lucia Keegan – will be released by RCA Records on August 5th, but we have a look at the song’s official video for you after the jump… Read more & comment »

Britain’s Got Talent: Jonathan and Charlotte, The Loveable Rogues, Only Boys Aloud, Ryan O’Shaughnessy, Zipparah Tafari all have record deals!

Britain’s Got Talent has ended and a dog act may have won, but it seems many of the other acts from the series have fantastic new career options thanks to the ITV show.

Britain loves a good singer and though Ashleigh and Pudsey won the competition on Saturday night, it was opera singing duo Jonathan and Charlotte and Welsh boys choir Only Boys Aloud who took the second and third spot on the final.

Insiders say that Simon Cowell thinks a number of the singers have great potential and has already had four of them signed to Sony labels, for the production of their debut albums.

Britain’s Got Talent 2012 voting figures: Ryan O’Shaughnessy, Loveable Rogues, Jonathan & Charlotte, Ashleigh & Pudsey clear winners!

ITV have revealed the voting figures from this year’s series of the ITV show and as you can see below, there were some very clear winners over the course of last week’s semi finals.

Jonathan and Charlotte may not have won the final last night, having been pipped to the post by puppy Pudsey and his owner Ashleigh, however they received the highest voting percentage over the semi finals shows, bringing in a whopping 75.3% of all the votes last Monday night.

Ryan O’Shaughnessy has admitted that he has already written enough songs for his debut album, which he is hoping he can release very soon.

The Irish singer shone once more on last night’s Britain’s Got Talent final, when he gave his track ‘No Name’ another outing and won unanimous praise from all of the panel.

It wasn’t enough to win him a place in the top three, but then he was up against some amazing talent, however the 19 year old still has big plans for the future.

Ryan O’Shaughnessy certainly has been winning himself some famous fans.

The 19 year old singer took to the stage for tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent final show and once again sang his self penned tune named ‘ No Name’ for the panel and the millions of viewers at home.

It’s the song that won him a place in our hearts all those weeks ago, when his first audition aired on the ITV show and he revealed that it had been written for a friend named Katie, who he was desperately in love with.

Britain’s Got Talent: Ryan O’Shaughnessy wants Katie Lucia Keegan at the final

Ryan O’Shaughnessy has admitted that he would be chuffed if the object of his affections, came to see him perform on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent final.

The 19 year old singer impressed the judges at his tryout for the ITV show, when he dedicated his self penned song ‘No Name’ to a mystery girl who he said he had been in love with for quite a while.

It was later revealed that the girl in question was Katie Lucia Keegan, though she revealed that she already had a boyfriend and snubbed Ryan’s romantic overtures.
