The Daily Mirror reports today that American Idol host Ryan Seacrest is bringing his US radio show to Britain.
The Real Radio Network will broadcast On Air with Ryan Seacrest every weeknight from July 18.
Former singer Seacrest, 36, told the paper, “It’s a thrill for me to bring the show to the UK, a nation rich in arts and culture.
“It’s exciting to expand our reach and I’m confident we will learn and grow.”
Some of his recent guests have included Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Cameron Diaz, Ashton Kutcher, Kelly Osbourne and Tom Hanks.
And Ryan was recently named the most powerful person in reality TV, ahead of Simon Cowell in sixth place. Read more & comment »

Dermot O’Leary has admitted that he would like to present ‘American Idol’.
The TV presenter, 37, has fronted Simon Cowell and ITV’s X factor for the last four years and recently missed out on the chance to present the American version of the show. He admitted that while he likes Simon Cowell and respects him as his boss, he would have no problem working for his competition in the states.
Asked whether he would host ‘American Idol’, he told the Daily Star newspaper: “Yeah, I’d do it. I want to work in America. I’m not scared of Simon Cowell, we’ve worked together for five years now. But I’m fiercely loyal to myself first of all.

Nigel Lythgoe has praised Ryan Seacrest’s presenting style on American Idol.
The So You Think You Can Dance boss returned to the Fox singing show as executive producer this season and after last night’s results show, he took to Twitter to tell his followers:
“What a crazy night at American Idol. I love how [Ryan Seacrest] thinks on his feet. It’s so easy to work with someone who is open to suggestions and performs with consummate ease.

Ryan Seacrest is a “phenomenal” boyfriend.
The ‘American Idol’ presenter’s girlfriend Julianne Hough has revealed the 35-year-old TV personality is a “romantic” partner who sometimes embarrasses her with his gestures of love.
She said: “He’s phenomenal. He’s really romantic. He’s not even in town and I got in my car and there are flowers everywhere.

American Idol presenter Ryan Seacrest has revealed that he is backing Justin Bieber as a replacement for Simon Cowell on next year’s season.
Simon will be leaving the show to concentrate on his new American X Factor series and Seacrest thinks that bosses should bring in someone much younger to connect with the teenage audience.

As this season of American Idol draws to a close, the judges that will remain after Simon Cowell’s departure have every reason to be quaking in their seats.
Bosses are desperate to revamp the talent show and keen to make it watchable after it’s leading man, Cowell leaves to start rival show The X Factor. Having already announced a slightly new format for the 2011 run, insiders suggest that producers may also be considering a judging shakeup meaning that Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi or Ellen DeGeneres could face the axe.

There have been many stories written this week about the relationship between American Idol contestant Crystal Bowersox and presenter Ryan Seacrest.
Last week sources suggested that the mum of one had been about to succumb to the intense pressure she felt and quit the show, but that Seacrest gave her a pep talk and convinced her to stay. Days later, former Idol hopeful Katelyn Epperly revealed in a radio interview that Crystal felt ‘betrayed’ by Seacrest and was convinced that he had leaked the story to the media.

Former American Idol contestant Katelyn Epperley has claimed that show frontrunner Crystal Bowersox felt ‘betrayed’ by Ryan Seacrest this week.
During a radio interview with Star 102.5, Katelyn revealed that she texted Crystal after the media began to report that she had considered quitting the show but was counseled out of leaving by presenter Ryan Seacrest. Epperley then claimed that Crystal texted her back saying:

American Idol presenter Ryan Seacrest has opened up about his strange behaviour on Wednesday night’s results show. Last week viewers were amused to see the normally sensible host making jokes about the talent of Adam Lambert’s tongue, singing excerpts of his song and dancing with a random man while Tim Urban sang.

Sources have suggested that American Idol contestant Crystal Bowersox considered quitting the show, but was talked into staying by presenter Ryan Seacrest.
PopEater has reported that Bowersox succumbed to the stress of the situation and told Seacrest that she couldn’t cope with the constant pressure and media attention that comes with a slot on the show.
