The Real Radio Network will broadcast On Air with Ryan Seacrest every weeknight from July 18.

Former singer Seacrest, 36, told the paper, “It’s a thrill for me to bring the show to the UK, a nation rich in arts and culture.

“It’s exciting to expand our reach and I’m confident we will learn and grow.”

Some of his recent guests have included Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Cameron Diaz, Ashton Kutcher, Kelly Osbourne and Tom Hanks.

And Ryan was recently named the most powerful person in reality TV, ahead of Simon Cowell in sixth place.

Dermot O’Leary has admitted that he would like to present ‘American Idol’.

The TV presenter, 37, has fronted Simon Cowell and ITV’s X factor for the last four years and recently missed out on the chance to present the American version of the show. He admitted that while he likes Simon Cowell and respects him as his boss, he would have no problem working for his competition in the states.

Asked whether he would host ‘American Idol’, he told the Daily Star newspaper: “Yeah, I’d do it. I want to work in America. I’m not scared of Simon Cowell, we’ve worked together for five years now. But I’m fiercely loyal to myself first of all.

“I didn’t get the US ‘X Factor’ job because they wanted an American. There’s nothing I can do about that. I’m not upset any more. I’ve had time to get my head around it.”

While Dermot narrowly missed out on a presenting gig in the US, he has bagged a £250,000 deal to front a new ITV series about marriage disputes, which will be a UK version of Jerry Seinfeld’s ‘The Marriage Ref’.

The cult show will see a celebrity panel – which is believed to include comedian Jack Dee – attempt to resolve a married couple’s problems, with filming starting later this month and the first of the seven episodes screened on ITV1 later this year.

He told The Sun newspaper: “It’s a great show and the kind of thing I want to present because it’s not your usual show. It’s something I’d watch. I’d never do a gameshow. ITV have big plans for it, so fingers crossed.”

Nigel Lythgoe has praised Ryan Seacrest’s presenting style on American Idol.

The So You Think You Can Dance boss returned to the Fox singing show as executive producer this season and after last night’s results show, he took to Twitter to tell his followers:

“What a crazy night at American Idol. I love how [Ryan Seacrest] thinks on his feet. It’s so easy to work with someone who is open to suggestions and performs with consummate ease.

“There were so many unplanned and unrehearsed events occurring tonight. So much that may have thrown another host but not [Seacrest]. Great.”

Lythgoe also thanked the show’s fans for their positive comments about the show.

“Thanks to all you Tweetsters for your kind words tonight,” he wrote.

“I will pass your sentiments on to my awesome production team who are so brilliant.”

Ryan Seacrest is a “phenomenal” boyfriend.

The ‘American Idol’ presenter’s girlfriend Julianne Hough has revealed the 35-year-old TV personality is a “romantic” partner who sometimes embarrasses her with his gestures of love.

She said: “He’s phenomenal. He’s really romantic. He’s not even in town and I got in my car and there are flowers everywhere.

“And for my birthday, same thing. Like, flowers everywhere. I was almost embarrassed. You walk in and you’re like, ‘Is this my room? I don’t even know.’ I’m kind of embarrassed,”

As well as praising Ryan as a phenomenal boyfriend, Julianne, 22, also admitted to enjoying spending time with his family and claims meeting one another’s parents was never an issue.

She told US TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres: “Everyone’s like, ‘Oh, you met the folks!’ It’s like, I don’t know. Both of our folks are like our best friends, so when we hang out, it’s more like hanging out with friends.”

Earlier this year, Ryan asked Julianne to move in with him after just a few months of dating, and as a treat he filled a hotel room with flowers.

A source said: “He’s not afraid to take things to the next level. Everyone is shocked by how fast things are moving.

“Julianne is smitten with Ryan and loves his romantic ways, which included him recently paying for her entire hotel suite to be covered in orchids, pansies and roses.”

American Idol presenter Ryan Seacrest has revealed that he is backing Justin Bieber as a replacement for Simon Cowell on next year’s season.

Simon will be leaving the show to concentrate on his new American X Factor series and Seacrest thinks that bosses should bring in someone much younger to connect with the teenage audience.

It’s gonna be different because there’s going to be an empty chair at the end of that panel,” host Ryan Seacrest told MTV news. “I’m not quite sure who’s going into that chair, so it’s a big [decision].”

“I would want a much younger, thinner, more charming Simon,” he says. After the reporter suggested ‘Baby’ singer Justin Bieber.

Seacrest exclaimed, “Bieber — he’s the guy!”

As this season of American Idol draws to a close, the judges that will remain after Simon Cowell’s departure have every reason to be quaking in their seats.

Bosses are desperate to revamp the talent show and keen to make it watchable after it’s leading man, Cowell leaves to start rival show The X Factor. Having already announced a slightly new format for the 2011 run, insiders suggest that producers may also be considering a judging shakeup meaning that Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi or Ellen DeGeneres could face the axe.

“Everything is on the table,” a source told the PopEater website.

“Nothing and no one is safe from change. There have been discussions about moving the show to New York, documenting the contestants living and fighting together in one big house and also eliminating the judges altogether.

“The only one who is safe is Ryan Seacrest.”

So who is most vulnerable here? We think it has to be Ellen. We expected great things from the chat show queen when she started on the show and while we don’t like her any less now, she didn’t bring the level of wit or humour to the table that we had expected. This season she was wholly dispensable and week after week proved her lack of musical knowledge through her weak critiques. We wouldn’t mind Ellen leaving, but who should replace her? That’s a whole other question for a whole other day!

There have been many stories written this week about the relationship between American Idol contestant Crystal Bowersox and presenter Ryan Seacrest.

Last week sources suggested that the mum of one had been about to succumb to the intense pressure she felt and quit the show, but that Seacrest gave her a pep talk and convinced her to stay. Days later, former Idol hopeful Katelyn Epperly revealed in a radio interview that Crystal felt ‘betrayed’ by Seacrest and was convinced that he had leaked the story to the media.

Katelyn told Star 102.5 that Crystal texted her after the story broke saying:

“I’m fine…betrayed by Seacrest!” Pretty much says it all, doesn’t it?”

Crystal alluded to the upset on Idol’s official Facebook page. She wrote:

no apologies for being human. Life is always testing ones strength and weakness threshold. That’s how we learn how strong we
really are:-)

However, the 24 year old Ohio woman has now insisted that she is not at all angry with Ryan Seacrest and that she highly respects the star. Crystal told Zap2it:

“We were never angry with each other. Ryan is a great guy, we had a great conversation, he gave me good advice. I highly respect him … There’s no beef with me and Ryan. Ryan’s a great man. Whatever anybody else says is their opinion, but I’m cool with Ryan.”

Former American Idol contestant Katelyn Epperley has claimed that show frontrunner Crystal Bowersox felt ‘betrayed’ by Ryan Seacrest this week.

During a radio interview with Star 102.5, Katelyn revealed that she texted Crystal after the media began to report that she had considered quitting the show but was counseled out of leaving by presenter Ryan Seacrest. Epperley then claimed that Crystal texted her back saying:

“I’m fine…betrayed by Seacrest!” Pretty much says it all, doesn’t it?

Katelyn went on to say that Crystal had simply gotten a bit upset backstage because she missed her child and Ryan helped comfort her. She insists that the whole thing was blown completely out of proportion.

Crystal took to the official Idol facebook page yesterday to claim that the media had ‘stretched and skewed’ the story out of recognition. Read more here.

American Idol presenter Ryan Seacrest has opened up about his strange behaviour on Wednesday night’s results show. Last week viewers were amused to see the normally sensible host making jokes about the talent of Adam Lambert’s tongue, singing excerpts of his song and dancing with a random man while Tim Urban sang.

Explaining his antics to UsMagazine, Seacrest said:”Often, I will playfully do things to amp up the energy for the live show, because it’s at the end of my long day.”

“I was enjoying it. We’ve done this show for nine years. When they take me out into the audience, sometimes the energy out there takes me to a different place.”

On dancing with an audience member he said: “That guy looked like the most inappropriate person to dance with, so I figured, ‘Let’s pick him up and just dance with him for a second.’”

Seacrest concluded: “I was also setting up the fact that we’re going to do a 10-year anniversary and look back on all of the different things that have been a part of this show… including my see-through shirts, my frosted tips, Simon with the bad hair and his pants jacked up. So the 10th-anniversary season is gonna be fun.”

Sources have suggested that American Idol contestant Crystal Bowersox considered quitting the show, but was talked into staying by presenter Ryan Seacrest.

PopEater has reported that Bowersox succumbed to the stress of the situation and told Seacrest that she couldn’t cope with the constant pressure and media attention that comes with a slot on the show.

However the fabulously rich star reportedly reminded the mum of one about the huge prize that comes with winning the show saying:

“The greatest thing I ever did was make enough money so I could buy my mom a house. You can buy your mom a house.”

Thankfully the advice worked and Crystal stayed. Yay!
