Big Brother star Chantelle Houghton has claimed that Preston is almost ready to get back with her, despite what he is saying publicly.

The pair first met on Celebrity BB 2006, they married soon after and divorced just nine months later. They were reunited on Ultimate Big brother last month and despite Preston admitting that he is still in love with his new girlfriend Abby, Chantelle insists that she still has a chance.

In an interview with OK, the former CBB winner said that Preston is now planning a romantic trip, in which they will discuss their future.

She said: “Text messages he sends makes me think there could be a chance. He’s sending me these lovely messages. It makes me think that it’s going to be the outcome that I want.”

“He says he misses me and that he can’t wait to see me and he tells me he wants to take me away.

“I really want to go to Paris and he’s said he’d take me there. Paris is probably the most romantic place you could take someone.”

Samuel Preston and Chantelle Houghton have met for the first time since leaving the Ultimate Big brother house.

The divorced pair were spotted looking ‘coupley’ last week in Gazette restaurant in Battersea, south London,

An onlooker told The Daily Mail:

‘They were definitely acting very coupley and were there for a good few hours just talking and smiling at each other.

‘They were having a good laugh and looked like they were really enjoying themselves…They seemed really close.’

After they ate, Chantelle is said to have paid for the meal and they shared a warm hug before going their separate ways.

Insiders confirmed that the pair have decided to give their relationship another try, despite Preston recently admitting that he still has feelings for his on/off girlfriend Abby.

Speaking to OK magazine he revealed:

“Yes, I guess I am [still in love with Abby] …I think that was a relationship in my life that seemed to make perfect sense until the distance happened.”

But Chantelle refused to be put off by his comments. She told Now magazine:

‘He was with Abby for 2 years but we still texted and called.’

‘They haven’t seen each other in a year – if I was someone’s girlfriend and I hadn’t seen my boyfriend in a year, I’d be a bit concerned.’

Chantelle Houghton has revealed that she and Samuel Preston didn’t completely lose touch after their divorce.

The Celebrity Big Brother winner said that even though Preston was dating American student Abby Rubin and went as far as having her name tattooed on his arm, he still kept contact with her throughout.

‘He was with Abby for 2 years but we still texted and called,’ Chantelle told Now.

‘They haven’t seen each other in a year – if I was someone’s girlfriend and I hadn’t seen my boyfriend in a year, I’d be a bit concerned.’

The fact that Preston still lives in the UK, despite Abby’s pleas for him to relocate to The States, gives Houghton hope.

‘It makes me feel a bit more positive,’ she said. ‘I’m stronger now. I’m really positive about the future.’

Chantelle Houghton has admitted that she isn’t worried by rumours that her ex-husband Preston is considering getting back with his on/off girlfriend Abby Rubin, claiming ‘I know he still loves me.’

The pair are said to be taking some time apart to consider their future but Chantelle is sure that the Ordinary Boys star doesn’t regret marrying her in 2007….even if they did get divorced just nine months later. She told Now:

‘I know Preston and I know he loves me. I don’t think he regrets marrying me. I just think he regretted marrying me so quickly.

‘We shouldn’t have got married after six months, it was such pressure and 22 is too young.’

On their planned break from each other, the Big Brother star added:

‘Hopefully I’ll know in the next week. Sometimes you have to put your heart on the line and accept that it might get broken.’

Big Brother star Samuel Preston has admitted that he did have second thoughts after separating from wife Chantelle Houghton, but claimed that when he tried to sort things out, the busty model stood him up.

Preston fled to America after their breakup in 2007 but not long after he arrived he sent an airline ticket to Chantelle, so that she could join him in the States and they could reconsider their future. She never turned up.

‘I bought that ticket as a birthday present,’ he told Now magazine.

‘I thought that was going to be our make-or-break meeting. I was going to take her to Mexico and I thought it would be an opportunity for us to live away from prying eyes for a while.’

‘I went to the airport and she wasn’t there,’ he added. ‘I called her and she said she didn’t want to come.’

Samuel Preston has admitted that he preferred Chantelle Houghton as a brunette.

The model now sports long blonde locks but when she and Preston married in 2006, she dyed her hair brown before the ceremony.

At the time, many thought Preston had pressured her into the change but he told Now:

‘I just thought she looked better with brunette hair but I liked it blonde, too.’

Chantelle defended her ex-husband saying:

‘Preston didn’t even know I was going to do it!’

Chantelle went back to brown earlier this year, after a string of failed relationships took their toll.

‘When I dyed my hair dark, I was just really depressed,’ she admits.

Chantelle Houghton has admitted that she and Preston are taking some time apart and trying to work out their feelings for one another.

Chantelle and Preston first met on Celebrity Big Brother 2006 and married soon after. However, only nine months later they got divorced didn’t see each other until they were reunited on Ultimate Big Brother last month. The model spent much of her time in the house crying because she still loved her ex, and they are now considering getting back together.

Chantelle told OK that after being offered a number of lucrative TV and advertising deals together, she and Preston have now decided to take a ‘cooling off’ period, during which they will consider a reunion.

Se admitted:

“I’m desperate for him to call me and tell me that that he loves me.

“I hate cooling-off periods but this time around I’m doing the sensible thing. If I wasn’t being forced to do it, I’d have spent the night with with him when I got out of the house to ask him. I wouldn’t still be on day ten not knowing.”

She laughed: “In a way I’m happy to drag out the cooling-off period because at least it’s not a no yet. But I know Preston and I know he does love me, I know he does.”

“But If he doesn’t love me I won’t hate him for that. You can’t make someone love you but he’ll always be in my life.”

Preston and Chantelle have reportedly been spending some time apart, so that they can convince their families that they should give their relationship another try.

The pair met on Celebrity Big Brother in 2006, married soon after but divorced only nine months later. They were reunited on Channel 4′s Ultimate Big Brother last month and both are said to have realised that the spark was still there.

Since the show finished last week, Preston and Chantelle have been offered their own reality TV show, along with thousands of pounds worth of other endorsements. They are expected to meet tomorrow to discuss their future but the decision is being impacted by the fact that Preston’s parents are dead set against a reunion.

Last night a source told The Daily Star:

“Everything is up in the air at the minute.

“It’s no secret that Chantelle and Preston want to give it another go but their families are at war over the idea.

“Chantelle’s clan are right behind the plan but Preston’s folks can’t stomach the idea in the slightest. They’re dead against it.

“It’s made getting together in person really difficult, so at the minute they are keeping in touch on the phone.

The insider also reported that the duo’s phone sessions are getting pretty steamy. They said:

“The pair are having some pretty intense phone sex sessions and it seems to be helping keep their passion alive.

“Preston, being a red-blooded bloke, is keen to take things to a more physical level but Chantelle is adamant she does not want to get hurt by moving too quickly.”

Samuel Preston was said to be furious, when he discovered that Chantelle Houghton has been receiving texts from her ex-boyfriend Jermain Defoe.

Preston and Chantelle first met on Celebrity Big Brother 2006 and married soon after. They got divorced just nine months later and the next year, Chantelle embarked on a steamy relationship with football ace Jermain.

The Daily Star reports that Preston “hit the roof” this week, when he found out that the pair are still in touch. The incident is said to have cast a cloud over their second honeymoon.

Sources close to the couple said he was “both shocked and angry”. They said:

“The texts were not rude or suggestive. Jermain just got in touch to say that he had been watching Big Brother and thought Chantelle had done really well.

“They were friendly rather than X-rated.”

The source added: “She and Preston haven’t cleared the air yet. It’s tense between them.”

He told Now:

‘It’s funny to imagine people watching me on Big Brother and then thinking I turned into this controlling monster behind closed doors,’ he smiles.

‘I quite happily let [Chantelle] wear the trousers in most things.’

Chantelle backed up his admission saying:

‘I just think of him like a little boy. He’s the same old Preston to me.’
