Sara Cox has admitted that she thinks she will get sick of Janet Devlin’s singing voice very quickly.

The Radio 1 DJ was speaking on last night’s Xtra Factor, sandwiched in between the annoying Jedward twins, when she was asked if the Northern Irish teenager would be the sort of artists featured on her radio show.

She replied:

Yes I think so and I think we’d play her an awful lot and then I’d go off her voice.

Sara added:

She’s really talented but I wouldn’t buy her album because I think she’s just too sweet.

However, Cox is a big fan of Janet’s rival Sophie Habibis and thought her rendition of ‘Wherever You Will Go’ rocked the house on last night’s live show.

Praising the former barmaid, Sara compared her to award winning singer/songwriter Adele, saying:

Sophie for me was the one who filled the entire place with her voice and the last time I saw that happen was at the Brits with Adele. Where she was just stood there, there were no dancers, there’s no whistles and flutes going on…she was just just stood there by herself and she completely filled the whole arena with that voice.

“She looks a it like Carol Vorderman in that dress though,” she laughed.

Sara Cox has admitted that she has a hard time looking at Craig Colton’s ‘heavage’ during the X Factor live shows.

The Radio 1 DJ was a guest on The Xtra Factor tonight, and explained that while she loves the ‘talented’ singer – who got mixed reviews from the panel for his rendition of Beyonce’s ‘best Thing You Never Had’ tonight – she really would like him to wear higher necked t shirts.

Cox told Olly Murs and Caroline Flack:

I like Craig, although he keeps showing a bit of heavage….you know with the low tops and the sort of man cleavage which always makes me go a bit eugh….but I think he’s very talented and he’s got a great voice.

On Craig’s fellow make contestants, Cox admitted that she ‘really liked’ Marcus Collins’ performance but felt that Frankie Cocozza had kind of ‘lost his mojo’ on the show. She added:

“He wasn’t quite right…”

Radio One DJ Sara Cox has admitted that she’s a massive fan of ITV’s X Factor and revealed that she is backing Stacey Solomon to win.

Cox told NOW! Magazine:

‘We watch it with friends – we’re like the X Factor gang, which is a bit sad!’

I love Stacey Solomon. I’ve loved her since the first time she was on and I love the way she talks, she’s so sweet. And she’s got the voice to back it up, too.’

Sara went on to say she doesn’t even mind her husband looking at Shanessa.

Sara knows she’s got nothing to worry about. Why? Here’s the thing: Shanessa’s simply not attractive. I’m not saying that just because her figure’s not Barbie-doll perfect. It’s the desperation.

It’s been proven that getting your boobs out on Big Brother is a sure fire way to getting attention. Now, we can lay money that FHM won’t be inviting Shanessa round for a photo shoot when she leaves the house. The best she can expect is a ton of paparazzi flashbulbs following her around pubs and clubs hoping for a few free trashy shots.

It’s funny how people associate ‘exposure’ with stripping off on national TV.

I’m not going to be facetious and say I feel sorry for the girl. I don’t. The British public know by now what to expect of Big Brother. Anyone who’s ever read one of the red-tops knows the fate of the girls who expose themselves on the show.

So here’s the logic, people: a horrifying cocktail of desperation and bared breasts is not sexy. As a man, it’s like seeing a female relative naked – you shudder with revulsion and try to forget you ever saw it.

That’s probably why Sara Cox doesn’t mind her other half seeing Shanessa naked.
