Jennifer Lopez has been loathe to commit to a second season of American Idol and is has been reported that Fox are starting to consider her replacements.
Bosses at the US TV network are keen to bring the ‘On The Floor’ singer back, to join fellow panellists Randy Jackson and Steve Tyler for the 2012 run of the hit reality TV show, however The Daily Mail reports that in case she opts out, they are considering either Shakira or Shania Twain to step into her shoes.
It shouldn’t have worked, it should have been awful but Shakira and Rascal Flatts performance of ‘Gyspy’ on American Idol last night was actually a stroke of brilliance.
We have already brought you the news that the amazing Shania Twain will be mentoring the American Idol hopefuls this week and the remaining six singers will each chose a track from her back catalogue of country tunes.
However, news just in confirms that also appearing on Wednesday night’s (Thursday in UK) results show will be Sons of Sylvia, Shakira, Lady Antebellum and Rascal Flatts.
Continuing with the long line of massive musical acts, the X Factor have landed Shakira to perform her new single ‘Did It Again’ on Sunday 15th November.
Shakira has been lined up to perform her new single on one of the X Factor’s live shows.
Shakira told Hits Radio: “Believe it, believe it because it’s true, I’m definitely confirmed. I’m going to be singing, I’m going to be dancing – the whole nine yards!”
