The Britain’s Got Talent panel has been split and it’s making things very awkward for the hopeful acts.

Those who have attended the London auditions all week in London’s Hammersmith Apollo, have remarked on the fact that Simon Cowell seems so obsessed with Baywatch babe and guest judge Carmen Electra, that he barely notices anything or anyone else and she in turn, just agrees with everything he says.

The pair have spent the week stroking and flirting with one another and at one point, the American actress even gave the TV boss a bit of a lap dance in front of the 2,000 strong audience.

However, their behaviour has led to fellow judges Alesha Dixon and David Walliams getting ever closer and frequently, when acts performed for the panel, the judges would split in two, with Simon and Carmen voting one way and the other two stars voting the other.

A source told The Sun: “If Alesha and David liked it, Carmen and Simon didn’t and vice versa.”

We were at the auditions in London last night and more than one act fell foul of the split in votes. Thankfully the audience were very vocal in their opinions and may have saved at least one hopeful, when they demanded the judges give them a second chance.

Carmen haters will be glad to note that the blonde beauty has now finished her Britain’s Got Talent stint and Amanda Holden will be back on the panel, when the tryouts hit Edinburgh this weekend.

Things will soon get back to normal….

The biggest step in any new relationship always is introducing your lover to your parents. It shows you are committed to one another and are moving your partnership to the next level.

So it comes as no surprise that last night David Walliams introduced his new best friend to his beloved mother.

After his mum Kathleen Williams watched her son judge the evening auditions David gave her a guided backstage tour, showing her how the programme gets made.

He then introduced her to the most important person in BGT world, show boss Simon Cowell.

David took to Twitter to reveal that Simon was as ever charming with Kathleen, and wrote:

“My mum just met Simon Cowell and he told her she had lovely skin!”

Meanwhile the BGT team have labelled David “The Candyman” after he keeps treating them to delicious chocolate treats every day.

We bet Simon doesn’t let any of them pass his lips….he’s more into the strange green vegetable smoothies these days!

Simon Cowell certainly does make sure he gets the best treatment when he’s working on Britain’s Got Talent and never before have we seen a man whose makeup needs touched up, quite as often as the vain music mogul.

It was reported in The Sun today, that the X Factor boss has a special strip light placed under the judges’ table but only at his end, so that when the auditions are televised, he will have a healthier glow and clearer complexion than his fellow judges. Journalist Richard White also passed a comment on how stunningly beautiful Cowell’s makeup artist Julia is and how very attentive she is to the star, running up between almost every audition to powder his nose.

When Unreality TV were at Hammersmith Apollo to have a gander at some of the auditions this week, what shocked us what just how like Mezhgan Hussainy, Julia looked.

She is slim, tall, with long dark hair and at least from a distance, could easily be mistaken for Simon’s ex.

Cowell definitely seems to have a type, as before Mezghan he dated the stunning brunette Terri Seymour, then there was Sinitta, Jackie St Clair…..you get the picture?

Simon recently admitted that he and Hussainy are on a break and it seems like the engagement is off, as insiders say Simon couldn’t commit to a wedding and she got sick of waiting around.

Considering that Simon met Mezghan, when she was his makeup artist on American Idol, perhaps Julia will be his next conquest….watch this space!

Simon Cowell has admitted that both Katy Perry and Madonna would be on the list of his dream judges for his American X Factor series.

The music mogul fired Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger from the judging panel of the show last week and is currently on the lookout for two stars who can replace the female singers.

Many names have been in the frame for the role and speaking to his ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour on Extra yesterday, Cowell addressed a few of the rumours.

He insisted that Mariah Carey will not be joining the show, not because he doesn’t want her, but because with her baby twins, she has too many family commitments, to want to be travelling the country and working long hours, as they audition for and then film the hit Fox series.

Simon said:

“I don’t think Mariah would make that commitment. I really, really don’t. She’s just had kids, you have to work five days a week on this show and do all the travelling as well, so she won’t be on the list.”

However, even though she recently insisted that she wouldn’t join the judging lineup, Cowell confessed that he would love to land singer, actress and queen of pop Madonna, adding:

“Yes I think she would be great, in terms of experience and success.”

The TV boss already had Katy Perry work on the UK X Factor as a guest judge and at the time, spoke about how impressed he was by her wit, her knowledge and her sassy nature. Asked if he would consider asking her to step into Paula or Nicole’s shoes, Cowell continued:

“I worked with Katy once, I think she would be fun. I think she is hard, in a good way and she’s feisty.”

Simon also quashed rumours that Elton John is on his list, saying he would be too difficult to work with and added that he doesn’t necessarily need to have an a list star on the panel, for the show to be a success.

He insisted:

‘It’s all about the contestants.’

Yesterday we told you how the BGT London auditions had started in a strange mood on Monday. Well yesterday things got even stranger.

The auditions started even later then usual as all the judges were late and we were freezing! A tired looking David Walliams told a fan he had a headache, after complaining to her that her screams hurt his ears. Despite his discomfort he still greeted as many frozen BGT fans as possible and did the same in the auditorium. One fan asked him if he would do “Ann” from Little Britain, to which he replied that he would for a pound. Much to his surprise the fan paid up. Neither he nor Alesha Dixon should have worried too much about being late, as they still arrived long before Simon Cowell got there. Guest judge Carmen Electra arrived after them to utter silence.

The reason Alesha was late might have to do with her hair. On Monday Simon had told her it looked “like a wig”. Yesterday the BGT team :

“Chic chignon… Alesha wears her hair up as suggested by aspiring hairdresser Simon Cowell.”

After a long wait Simon arrived, luckily David had brought two boxes of chocolate to share between judges, presenters and staff.

Finally, the auditions started, not before Simon let a fan stroke his shirt and feel his bicep, and soon the problems started. The second Carmen opened her mouth the booing started. It was not that surprising, as it seemed to those in the audience that the Baywatch actress really isn’t a very likable person. She in particular seems to be unnecessarily rude to any girl that take to the stage.

One audience member Robbie Watson tweeted:

“Carmen Electra is an awful judge. Pretty face but easy influenced, confusing and no personality Left early. Got a tad boring and kinda needed to get home.. ”

“There was a girl group that looked similar to Little Mix. Vocals weren’t quite there but Simon said they were ‘awful’. They weren’t THAT bad…”

Carmen said they sounded like ‘dogs whining in a cage’ but later tries to say ‘yes’, much to the confusion of the audience And she asked them if they lick each other out, trying to be rude and funny. Alesha and David looked puzzled and Simon just smiled and laughed at her (he SO fancies her LOL). Hope she [Amanda] hurries back”

Another Twitter user, named Saul Bosworth simply stated:

“Carmen Electra is such a bitch!”

Soon cries of “We want Amanda” filled the auditorium.

Still the auditions continued with an unusually quiet David and a feisty Alesha. As most of Simon’s attention seemed to be for Carmen, David and Alesha spent a lot of time chatting together and David made a lot of bitchy comments to Simon.

But when Carmen desperately attempted to make headlines and suddenly lapdanced for Simon, Walliams sprung into action and followed suit. This to much squirming from the head judge. David later posted a picture of the pair of them cheekily stating:

“Look how hard his nipples are when we are together!”

A fewmore laughs were had when Simon Cowell spotted that X Factor auditionees The Risk were in the audience and when the cast of Benidorm were filming an audition for the show for an upcoming Sport Relief sketch. Simon also revealed his guilty pleasure was bedarobics.

But things didn’t stay fun for long with the BGT team worridly noting: “The gloves are off tonight! Simon and David can’t seem to agree on anything and Alesha’s already been serenaded by a hunk! #BGTdramarama”

The auditions lasted till almost past midnight and the atmos became tense, this can’t have done much good for David’s headache.

Both he and Simon looked very tired and often needed touch ups from make up. David went into the audience and talked to a granny and got into her hand bag. He also got some haribo’s from other audience members.

Of course there were also performers

A 17-year old girl who sang and played guitar. She sang Teenage Dream, but Simon wanted to hear one of her original songs. There was a dance troupe who the judges compared to Diversity and a stunning young peoples’ gospel choir.

However, for me, the act of the night was Molly an 11 year old girl who sang Amazing Grace, you could have heard a pin drop.

I can’t wait to go back tonight, so see what else the Britain’s Got Talent team have in store!

Simon Cowell was reportedly incredibly impressed with at least one Britain’s Got Talent audition this week.

The music mogul was getting a little fed up with all the silliness in Hammersmith’s London Apollo insiders have told Unreality TV, that is until Jonathan Antoine and Charlotte Jaconelli took to the stage.

Sources at the venue told us that the pair’s tryout was a bit of a Susan Boyle moment, with the audience expecting the worst when they first set eyes on shy and overweight Jonathan.

However, just as when Subo sang, when the pair performed together, the whole theatre was moved to silence and David Walliams almost to tears by their singing and afterwards Cowell told them that he was drawn to the ‘magical’ quality they share.

Always trying to mix things up, Cowell then told Jonathan that he thinks he would be more successful as a solo act, but when Antoine refused to heed his advice and was adamant that he would be sticking with his friend, Simon revealed that he was going to follow his heart (we didn’t know he had one) and put them through to the next round.

Carmen Electra, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams all reached a similar conclusion.

We bet that Paula Abdul is wishing Simon had discovered this long lost heart of his, before he sacked her last week.

David Walliams and Simon Cowell certainly have become bosom buddies over the last lot of weeks.

The Little Britain star joined the music mogul on the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel last month and ever since an interesting relationship has struck up between the pair.

Some insiders have described it as a ‘bromance’ and even Ant and Dec have passed comment on how pally the two stars have become.

However, we think that David may have taken things a little too far last night, when he tweeted out the picture below.

The comedian, author and TV star posted a photo of him and Cowell together, arms slung around each other in a very comefortable fashion, but it was the caption that made us feel a little ill. Along with the picture, Walliams wrote:

“Look how hard his nipples are when we are together!”

PUKE! And on another note, Simon really needs to get that hair sorted….pronto. Luckily, we know just the man!

Caroline Watsham probably harbored dreams that her Britain’s Got Talent audition would lead to fame and fortune, when she tried out for the celebrity judges last month. However it seems she may have to wait a bit longer, before taking to the spotlight.

The mum of two took to the stage in Cardiff and attempted to wow Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams with saw playing.

Yes you read that right, the 47 year old woman has been perfecting playing the hardware tool with a violin bow for the last six months and tried out for the ITV show in honour of her town crier dad Eric, 75, who died in 2010 and loved to play the unusual instrument.

Caroline confessed that she was excited to pass through the initial audition rounds and was elated to win the chance to perform for the three famous judges, however she was less pleased when she heard what they had to say about her act.

Simon told Watsham that the noise she created was awful and sounded like a ‘baby crying’ while his fellow judges also remained unimpressed.

We think it’s probably safe to say that Caroline most likely hasn’t made the next round, but her audition may make it onto the televised shows in April, simply for it’s wackiness if nothing else!

The Britain’s Got Talent auditions have been going very well this year….until yesterday that was. Let’s just say that a lot happened on the first day of the London tryouts.

The first surprise for me was obviously the new guest judge. Of all the people that were expected, Carmen Electra certainly wasn’t and I have to admit that her arrival yesterday afternoon shocked more than a few of the waiting crowd.

On arriving David Walliams got an incredible crowd reaction, however his American counterpart certainly didn’t go down as well with the audience. Some took to Twitter to remark that they “think Carmen needs to take a chill pill” or labelling her as “bland” and boring. Others said she “needs to get a sense of humour.” And one then put the knife in saying: “Don’t think anyone liked Carmen Electra being a judge!” Carmen was undetered, telling reporters: “I kinda fancy Simon. He’s cute and I love his sarcasm.”

The audience also complained about seating problems, while David Walliams was overheard telling Simon Cowell off for being late again . Because of him the 1 o’ clock auditions didn’t start till 4. David said Simon could not treat the audience like that. He was heard saying: “Some people have been waiting out in the cold from 8!!” Another big talking point was the low level of talent at the auditions. There were many tweets stating that it was an “all time low” and a few journalists that were at the event agreed with this.

David disagreed saying:

“In London yesterday we had the best day of auditions yet for BGT, I think we may have found an international superstar”.

One journalist however left his day job behind for the day and arrived as one of the auditionees. He claimed to be a singer, but was immediately buzzed by all the judges. I wonder what that headline will look like!

Carmen shocked everyone by asking a little boy opera singer an inappropriate question, meanwhile Simon told a 78-year-old woman she has a “naughty look about her”….same old, same old. Highlights of the acts were an amazing Czech gymnast duo, while Twist & Pulse were back as the Twist and Pulse Dance company, and there were cheers for Confusion the over 35 dance group.

Then there were the judges, who seemed to be in a strange mood yesterday. After the first auditions, Simon went off saying he wanted to go to his hotel for an hour, delaying the second auditions.

He got it in the ear from former Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha, who was angry because the big boss was flirting with Carmen instead of looking at the acts and thought it was rude that Carmen had not made an effort to look up who she and David were, while she and David had been spending ages online to get an idea of her work.

Audience members were also angry with David’s wife, Lara Stone, who had arrived for the second round and apparently kept the Little Britain star away from fans, while he had been talking and joking with them all the time before she arrived.

One said: “She was so rude. I’m very disappointed.”

David also expressed disappointment. He was upset that the audience laughed at a gay ballroom dancing couple before they even started dancing. He wondered what was so funny about “the notion of two men dancing together.”

However his mood did improve and later, Walliams entertained the audience again by posing for pictures, chatting and whispering, blowing kisses, having a staring competition and doing a very camp dance.

Another audience member commented:

“He just made everyone laugh non-stop!”

He was a bit hungry, so when someone offered a bag of gummy snakes he ate a whole bag.

Simon Cowell may be in hot water yet again, after The Gambling Commission decided to launch an investigation into his ITV gameshow Red Or Black.

It has been reported that the gambling watchdog is concerned that the series – which aired on ITV1 last summer – may have glamorized betting by making it look ‘easy’ to win.

The series ran for seven nights and on each episode, one lucky contestant had the chance to walk away with a whopping £1 million, all based on a game of roulette. In the end, the show made four millionaires in a week and questions have now been raised about whether the premise of the format, would encourage vulnerable people to turn to betting, in a bid to solve their money worries.

Sources have told The Sun that the commission met with ITV bosses this week and want assurances that there will be changes made to the show, if it returns for a second series, so that it looks harder and requires a certain level of skill from the eventual winners.

Although the regulatory body does not have the official powers to shut the show down, it has been reported that ITV would keen not to upset officials and a source said:

“Put it this way, if the Gambling Commission kicks up a big fuss about your show publicly, it is unlikely that you would go ahead with it.”

“The Commission has concerns the show is glamorising gambling as so many people won £1million last time and did the best part of nothing to get it.”

It’s not yet clear whether channel bosses will want to throw their weight behind a second run anyway, as Red Or Black came nowhere near the expected ratings when it debuted in 2011.
