Outgoing American Idol contestant Siobhan Magnus has said that she avoided online fan sites and forums during her time on the show.
The 20-year-old singer, was voted off the show during country week and told OK magazine that she didn’t ever read online commentary on her performances. This allowed her to avoid ‘nasty’ viewers and ‘stay focused’ on doing her best every week.
Former American Idol contestant Siobhan Magnus has admitted that she has a great respect for former finalist and her Idol mentor Adam Lambert.
The 20-year-old singer, told OK that she felt privileged to be compared to the outlandish performer and said that she respects him for getting so far on the show.
“I really respect him and having gone through the process of being on the show, I respect him more now for getting as far as he did because it’s so hard,” she explained.
Outgoing American Idol contestant Siobhan Magnus made her appearance on The David Letterman Show last night and revealed a little known fact about her life before the TV show.

More shocking for us than Siobhan’s departure was the fact that Casey James and Michale Lynche joined her in the bottom three. We thought for sure that Casey had a huge following out there! Aaron Kelly was good this week granted, but then country is his thing and he has been so weak for so long now that we were really expecting him to be closer to the bottom last night.
Siobhan Magnus closed last night’s American Idol show with her rendition of Shania Twain’s ‘Any Man Of Mine.’
During their mentoring session Shania told Siobhan to pep the song up a little saying:
‘Even though it’s a fun song, you’ve gotta put more attitude into those lyrics. Let your character come out through those words to make them come alive.
So Siobhan Magnus took on not one, but two divas when she chose to sing ‘When You Believe’ on tonight’s American Idol show. The song was first released as a duet by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey and is also known in the UK for being the song which launched – and then promptly sank Leon Jackson’s career after he won the X Factor.
