The Beckhams Go To Hollywood

The Beckhams Go To Hollywood will examine what the future holds for the Beckhams as they quit Madrid for a new life in Hollywood. The Beckhams are moving to LA, but in the city of a million stars just how high is theirs in the firmament? Have the Beckhams achieved A-list status or do they have a bit of a way to go before they make the grade? Comedian Iain Lee is on a mission to find out. With the help of the UK’s best Beckham look-a-likes, Andy Harmer and Camilla Shadbolt, and with advice from Hollywood’s top society experts, Iain will be posing as the Beckham’s PA in their new-found home-city in an attempt to find out how LA feels about the Beckhams? Will they love them, loathe them or will they not have a clue who they are? Are they really power players in their new home, or just another immigrant couple trying to buy into the dream in the city of angels? The Beckhams Go To Hollywood will broadcast exclusively on Sky One on Monday 30 April at 10.00pm.

“David and Victoria will be welcomed with open arms by LA. We’re nothing but gracious to new stars. We love them, but we eat them up and spit them out.”

Jeffrey Jolson, Editor, Hollywood Reporter

Across the hour Iain pulls out all the stops to test the Beckhams A-list star power, including some good old fashioned cherry knocking, a 15-seat stretch hummer and a 10-strong celebrity entourage which seems to deliver the superstar sucker-punch on the streets of Beverly Hills. Does the Beckham name open doors or get them slammed shut in their face? We’ll find out as Iain attempts to shut down a store for some personal shopping Beckham style, purchase a $300,000 Lambourghini and get a table at The Ivy for the Beckhams and their entourage, all at a moments notice.

The Beckhams Go To Hollywood takes us from the paparazzi garnished sidewalks of Beverly Hills to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and from the mean streets of Carson City to the velvet rope of LA’s most exclusive nightspots. Iain will push things to the limit with his superstar celebrity demands.

The Beckhams Go To Hollywood will include interviews with Hollywood’s top society experts including image consultant Genelle Brooks, paparazzi David Aguilera and Patt Shipp from The National Enquirer.

The Beckhams Go To Hollywood will broadcast exclusively on Sky One on Monday 30 April at 10.00pm.

Having won her place in viewers hearts as a feisty, straight talking sales whiz in The Apprentice and moving on to mentoring in Sky One’s The Big Idea, The Badger needs a new challenge. And they don’t come much more challenging than this!

BADGER OR BUST is a new six-part factual entertainment programme, following Ruth Badger’s fearless attempts to turn some of Britain’s most struggling sales teams into winners. Ingrid Tarrant Survives Crash On Sky One’s The Race

Hello reported:

Chris Tarrant’s estranged wife Ingrid had a lucky escape from injury on Tuesday when she walked away from the wreck of a giant truck. The action-loving 52-year-old was miraculously unharmed after a stunt went horribly wrong during filming for Sky One’s reality show The Race.

Ingrid was attempting to jump her £150,000 ‘Bigfoot’ truck over a series of cars at the Silverstone track in Northants when the 4×4 vehicle flipped over and landed on its roof. Paramedics immediately rushed to the scene where they found the pretty blonde unharmed although shaken. “Ingrid was conscious when they reached her – and lucid,” said the show’s spokesperson. “The first thing she said was, ‘I’m sorry’.”

But the incident clearly hasn’t dented Ingrid’s enthusiasm for high-octane adventure as she said she would do it all again. “It happened so quickly I didn’t know I was upside down,” she revealed. “I was airborne. It was the most sensational feeling. I didn’t know what happened until I saw the footage.”

Sky One’s Latest Reality Show ‘The Race’

Sky One have a new reality show due to air next week and it is chock full of celebrities that you know and love!

Before the real trials begin, in the first show each celebrity will have to obtain their Association of Racing Drivers Schools certificate (ARDS) to qualify them for the challenges ahead and ensure they have the necessary skills to cope. If they can’t make it past this then they don’t belong in The Race.

From then on it’s high octane entertainment as every day each team member will line up for a main event while one driver from each team will step forward to take part in a one-on-one driving duel, the Rev Head Challenge. With the pressure all on one person to bag valuable points and move their team up the grid positions this will be a true test of character.

On to each day’s main event when the celebs will compete as a team against the opposite sex in everything from monster trucks to the formula Lotus sports cars to improve their Grand Prix grid standing and avoid being handed the suit of shame. With team pride and camaraderie playing as big a part as personal rivalries and self esteem, passions and tensions are set to run high.

Host of The Race, Denise van Outen said: “I can’t wait to get trackside with the girls and boys to find out once and for all which sex really is better behind the wheel. This is going to be the hardest week of some of our celebrity’s lives and with David and Eddie in charge I can’t see anyone being given an easy ride.

Overseeing everything will be safety expert Dave Allen, lads lieutenant Steve Deeks, girls guide Liz Halliday and of course David and Eddie, stepping in to pass judgement on their team’s performance.

As if competing together wasn’t enough to fray the nerves, all the celebrities will be living together for the week in a purpose built compound situated within the confines of Silverstone. They’ll have all the comforts of custom built luxury buses but with the cameras following them here as well we’ll get to see how much heat they carry with them away from the circuit.

Every night live at 10:00pm on Sky One from the studio at Silverstone, Denise van Outen will be looking back at the day’s highlights from the track, as well as inviting a selection of celebrities in to talk through their triumphs and disappointments. Viewers can then switch over to Sky Three when from 11:00pm Iain Lee will take viewers further behind the scenes with more news and interviews trackside from throughout the day.

When the dust settles on Friday it’s time to lose one member of each team as David and Eddie are asked to assess each of their team member’s performance and select their weakest driver for elimination.

It’s then onto Sunday’s Grand Prix as our remaining eight drivers strap themselves into their high spec Formula Fords, capable of 0-100kph in under five seconds, putting the week’s lessons to the test with 30 laps around one of Silverstone’s trickiest tracks in the thrilling finale. As the celebs go under starters orders they know they’ll have to work with their colleagues to ensure valuable points for a team victory, while at the same time it’s every man and woman for themselves as they all compete to be crowned champion.

As the chequered flag falls for the last time, either boys or girls will prove they had the skill and endurance to come out on top, while only one racing wannabe will pick up the trophy and spray the champagne as winner of Sky One’s The Race.
