Been away from the telly for a couple of evenings, so I hit the web this evening to find out what’s been going on. Here’s the Love Island update:

Austrailian model Emily Scott has been ejected from Love Island. A bit of a shame, since she hadn’t really had a chance to shine since arriving on Love Island what seems like half-an-hour earlier.

From what I hear she’d been doing a decent job of keeping Cockroach Paul Danan away from the other girls on the Island – I hope they were grateful to her. Milo’s not surprised, though – she was never going to survive against an original Islander!

Apparently Patrick Keilty has put his foot in it slightly by insulting Bianca Gascoigne’s mum, Cheryl:

Presenters Matt Brown and Jayne Middlemiss apologised to Sheryl, a guest on the show, for showing the footage [of Leo and Bianca in the shower together], but Patrick said, “I’m not apologising. Why should we apologise? We’re only showing the behaviour.

“You should apologise, not us. The way Mary Kielty brought me up you would not catch me in the shower… with Leo.”

Maybe ‘Father’ Shane Lynch’s Christian values are starting to rub off on Kielty a bit? Watch for PK fussing about the beach house trying to get the girls to cover up and lecturing the boys on sex out of wedlock

And another celeb mother has weighed in on the presenters: Sophie Anderton’s mum has ‘blasted’ Kielty and co-host Fearne Cotton for being biased about her daughter. Better yet, she claims that “Beautiful people can be alienated and that’s what is happening here”.

What does that say about her opinion of Sophie? Does ‘beautiful’ define her? Has she no other redeeming features than her looks? Shame on you Sophie’s mum.

Then again, with her doctor and her best friend chipping in with their views…

In the Fiji Love Island the morning started quite peacefully. A bite to eat, a quick sunbathe, all the celebs were in top form.

Things quickly changed when Paul Danan was summoned to the Jungle Hut and given the task of making all the girls scream within the next hour.

Paul relished the challenge and with a cheeky glint in his eye set off to scare some females!

His first victim however was none other than the volatile Sophie Anderton. In order to raise a scream Paul tried to untie the strings holding Sophies bikini bottoms together but instead of a scream she just started to yell at Paul.

“I didn’t find it funny you piece of scum!� Sophie raged.

“It was a f*****g laugh!� Paul protested. “For f**k sake I am not a pervert!�

“Don’t ever do it again….next time you do not want to see my reaction!� Sophie spat back.

“Just because I’m a top lingerie supermodel, it doesn’t mean I allow men to touch me!�

Paul was last seen making his escape over the Fijian hills quaking with fear….but wil he return??????

Tonight we are in for a treat! While watching our nightly does of Love Island we get to see former Boyzone singer Shane Lynch have THE talk with model Sophie Anderton.

Sophie has spent the last two weeks telling anyone that will listen how much she likes Shane and how besotted she is with him. She has also frequently added that she knows he feels the same way. Unfortunately for her, it seems that Shane thoughts on the matter couldn’t be more different than her own.

Shane approached Sophie and began by saying:

“This is something that I feared between me and you which is getting weird,�

“I think you’re an amazing girl and don’t want our friendship to be weirded out,� Father Shane begins, Bianca and Kelle’s words of encouragement still playing on his mind.

“I don’t know why anyone else was talking about it,â€? Sophie insists…incredibly!

â€?I just want to make sure it doesn’t affect us and we can crack on as friends,â€? Shane continues.

Sophie acts cool as a cucumber and continues,

“I just said I wasn’t interested in you in that way, we are totally on the same page, they can’t understand.â€?

“Absolutely, that’s what I thought. That’s where I thought you were coming from,â€? Shane lies!

Sophie then sauntered to the Beach Hut to spout:

‘When we leave here it’s something that could happen, it’s just not going to happen right now,’

“Fab, glad that’s ‘sorted’ then…aaaarrrrgggghhhhhh!!�

I think that if Shane really wants to put Sophie off he is going to have to try much harder than that. The conversation should have went:

“Hey stalker! Stop looking at me, talking about me and lusting after me! I want Colleen, now GO AWAY!”

Lets be honest none of us would have blamed him.

You’ve gotta draw the line somewhere, and when I see a celebrity spewing up, I sort of lose interest. Don’t you?

The couples on Love Island had to complete a task which involved eating red-hot spices as quickly as possible. Although there were a few valiant attempts, Sophie Anderton couldn’t hold the food down and gave us a little too much footage of it coming back up. Charming I think Brendan Cole also had trouble keeping the hot stuff down.

So what better way to follow that task but with a little game of Guess Who? Blindfolded celebs were asked to guess their partner through the simple act of nipple-licking! What an ordeal!

Although it looked like a lot of fun, Shane Lynch was determined not to participate in the task. I always imagined that Shane was ….er… worldly and that he wouldn’t have a problem with the sexy stuff. I’m sort of still waiting for him to reveal a wild side….

After Shane Lynch and Sophie Anderton were voted to spend a third night alone together in the Love island 2006 Love Shack, you would imagine that things would be hotting up….well you would be wrong!

When asked how she felt about Shane, glamour model Sophie admitted:

“I do like him but I could like him more, hopefully he does like me.�

She continued “We have a connection, he is gorgeous. I love how he sees life and we both love the same things,�

But Shane seems to see Sophie in a whole different light:

“I don’t think there is any chance of romance,� he commented.

“She just reminds me of me sister too much�.

“I just don’t have any physical attractions to her�.

Tell it as it is Shane, why don’t ya.

After a whole day of boring Shane with stories about herself, Love Island producers have set Sophie her most difficult task yet!

Today after being called to the Beach Hut earlier today, show producers revealed to Sophie that she was not allowed to utter the words ‘I’ ‘myself’ or ‘me’ for a whole hour.

“I won’t be able to speak for the next hour!â€? Sophie stuttered.

Can she make sixty minutes without the ‘me chat?’

Sophie Anderton and Shane Lynch were the first couple to be voted into the Love Island Love Shack, despite Shanes plea to be kept out of the hideaway.

The love shack is normally a place for couples to get closer, and in the case of Rebecca Loos and Callum Best last year, start romancing each other.

However things are to be different in this years show, not least because Shane Lynch has recently turned to christianity and has a major problem with sharing a bed with a woman he barely knows.

With this in mind he refused to share the huge bed in the Love Shack with troubled model Sophie Anderton, instead opting to kip on the sofa.

I am sure that did wonders for her self-esteem!

Love Island bosses have this year placed a ban on celebrities taking sex toys into the Fiji resort.

It is rumoured that Alicia Douvall was reprimanded for trying to sneak one past security and Sophie Anderton was furious with the news that she would be left unfulfilled during her stay on the island.

Anderton told the News of the World: “I got lip balm into the jungle for I’m A Celebrity, so I will do my best this time round.”

Tonights launch show of Love Island 2006 has basically consisted of Sophie Anderton crying and wailing and acting like a spolit child.

At the beginning of the show we saw all the celebrities paired up, all that is except for Sophie, who as the only single celebrity, has to clean up after and cook for all the other contestants.

Sophie Anderton has done nothing but weep, wail and complain about her plight, and to be honest my patience with her has already worn thin. She is being paid three times more than some of the other stars, it won’t kill her to have to cook a few dinners and scrub a few loos.

At this rate of going it will be a long summer, I beg the British public….GET SOPHIE OUT!

Details of the celebrities salries for Love Island 2006 have been leaked to the press this week.

The highest paid star is Sopie Anderton who will be getting £70,000, closely followed by Lady Victoria Hervey who is being paid £50,000.

Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole is set to earn £40,000, Bianca Gascoigne has been offered £30,000, while Hollyoaks star Lee Ottway and former Boyzone singer Shane Lynch are earning £26,000.

Less well-known stars such as models Alicia Douvall and Colleen Shannon, Pierce Brosnan’s son Chris and singer Leo Ihenacho have signed £20,000 contracts.

According to The People, the contestants will be taxed twice on their earnings – once in Fiji and again in Britain.

“They are very angry,” a source explained. “Someone earning £25,000 can expect to take home around £12,000 after tax.”

The final list of celebrities(?) to take part in this years Love Island series have finally been released.

I can see why they took the word ‘celebrity’ out of the title this year. They should have named it..

“So someone in your family is famous, come and get a tropical shag”

Troubled model Sophie Anderton, more famous for her addictions than her modelling is rumoured to be signed up for this years series of Celebrity Love Island.

Sophie has already appeared on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in 2004, and was considered by producers as a big hit.

A source said: “It’s early days yet but Sophie ‘ is excited about it. Anyone would jump at the chance of being sent to a fantasy island with 12 other gorgeous stars.

“If she gets it will be just what she needs to boost her career. She had a tough time last year after splitting up with her fiancŽ Mark Alexiou.

“But she’s determined to get her life back on track.”
