X Factor judge Simon Cowell has tipped 20 year old mum Stacey Solomon as being one of this year’s final acts.
Speaking at a charity dinner on Monday night, Cowell told the Jewish Chronicle: “I like Stacey. She’s a sweetheart. She’s a nice girl with a good voice and she’s getting better. She’s going to be in the final. She’s my favourite act after my own acts.”
Gordon Brown has made an attempt to retract his derogatory comments made about X Factor’s John and Edward Grimes last week. In a radio interview, Brown branded the boys as ‘not very good’, Labour then followed up by producing a mocked-up poster of David Cameron and George Osborne as the Irish teenagers under the slogan: “You won’t be laughing if they win.”
However in typical politician style, Gordon Brown has done a bit of a back track and told This Morning:
X Factor creative director Brian Friedman has denied that there is anything going on between Olly Murs and Stacey Solomon.
“I don’t think there’s anything going on there at all – I wish there was, Stacey and Olly are two of the most fun people to be around so they would make a great couple, but unfortunately, I haven’t seen any fireworks,” he told PA.
Brian, also revealed that he isn’t a bit surprised that John and Edward Grimes have survived for so long.
Unreality TV have never had the greatest amount of respect for X Factor choreographer Brian Friedman, but today he has given us even more reason than usual to suspect that he is severely deluded.
Describing X Factor finalist Stacey Solomon Brian told The Mirror:
“Stacey could be as good as Rihanna. With the shapes her body can make and the way her body is built, she could be as good, if not better than Rihanna. If only I had the time to work with her. She’s incredible.”
The final eight X Factor acts are reportedly set to earn £100,000 on this year’s live tour, proving that it is worthwhile to enter the X Factor, even if you have no chance of winning.
The Sun reports that half of the money is made up from pay cheques and the other half from bonuses and an unnamed finalist from last year said: “The tour is the most lucrative part of being on the show. Even if you don’t win, it can set you up for life.”
An X Factor spokeswoman said: “We do not discuss any financial details of contracts for the tour.”
Being the final female left on The X Factor, obviously means that Stacey Solomon is one well dressed girl every weekend. On Saturday night, for her performance of ‘Who Wants To Live Forever’, Stacey shone in her custom made caramel Suzanne Neville gown. She accessorised the outfit with £100,000 worth of rented diamonds and was tailed by a security guard, who removed the jewelery as soon as she stopped singing.

Project A singer Laura Henderson has warned Stacey Solomon that life will be hard if she dates fellow X Factor contestant, Olly Murs.

X Factor judge Dannii Minogue has reportedly claimed that she may quit the show if John and Edward Grimes finish ahead of her final singer, Stacey Solomon.
A show insider told The Irish Herald: “Dannii is fuming and just disillusioned at the whole show. She thinks the Grimes are nice kids, but that they don’t deserve to take a place in the remaining acts on the show.

Dannii – “It was a shock and I was really sad for Lucie because I think she was just starting to show what she could do and I wish I got it right earlier. You know in the earlier show, but you’re fitting in with themes and categories. Minogue told Metro: “Don’t be angry, get voting for the only girl left in the competition. Pick up the phone – you know you want to vote for Stacey Solomon.
Danny Dyer has admitted that he is a big fan of X Factor’s Stacey Solomon but added that she needs to stop acting like a ‘div’ if she wants to win the show.
The actor told AOL: “I like Stacey Solomon, but she needs to slow down on the div act! But she’s lovely and she’s got a great voice, she’s a single mum and I have a lot of respect for that. Oh, and she’s from Essex!”
X Factor singer Stacey Solomon has denied rumours that JLS singer Aston has a crush on her. In fact it may be the other way round, as she admitted that even talking to Aston left her flustered.
Stacey told The Sun: “No he doesn’t [fancy me] unfortunately. It’s just a lie otherwise we could just be this celebrity couple.
“I met him the other day when he came to perform on the show. He said, ‘hiya’ and I was like so uncomfortable, I was like ‘hi’. He was a really nice guy.”
