Former Big Brother housemate Stephanie McMichael has blasted other reality TV contestants who claim that they enter the shows for the experience rather than for the fame.
Steph was the first housemate to be evicted on last years series but has went on to make quite a large sun from ensuing magazine deals etc.
Speaking to Take 5 magazine, McMichael explained: “I can’t stand people who go on BB and say: ‘It’s not about the fame’. It is! If you don’t want to be famous, don’t go on reality TV.
We heard last week that Big Brother reject, Stephanie McMichael was releasing a single called ‘Camera Shy’. Now, maybe I was being silly but given that Steph got through to the final rounds of Pop Idol all those years ago, I kind of hoped that she might actually have some musical talent.
I’ve listened to the song above and I hold my hands up and admit that I was wrong. It is awful, boring, and even worse than any song Victoria Beckham could inflict on us!

I was actually quite shocked by tonight’s Big Brother eviction result. Stephanie McMichael became the first housemate to leave the 2008 BB house, but God I wish it had been Mario!
The sight of Mr Know All trying to set everyone to rights and make sure that they all adhere to his own health and safety rules makes me so cross. Yesterday the Big Brother housemates were assigned their first task. They each had to hold a light switch and light above their head. By holding the switch they ensure the light remains off. It doesn’t look that hard, but it seems that Stephanie isn’t very good at tasks!
Watch this clip and see just how long she was able to hold the switch for. Was she even trying?
Thankfully it seems like Dennis and Rachel have a bit more staying power!
As a prize for winning the task, the pair won a picnic in the garden consisting of cookies, ham, cheese, real butter, grapes, strawberries and french bread.
It seems that like most Big Brother housemates, Stephanie McMichael entered the house with an ulterior motive.
Stephanie has already recorded her debut singles and plans are already underway for its release as soon as she exits the BB house.
Stephanie almost made it into Girls Aloud through another reality Tv show, until it emerged that she was too young. Then in 2006, Stephanie was the lead singer with London-based girl band The Superblonds. She left in 2007 to pursue a solo career. Read more & comment »
You can expect to see more on yesterdays Big Brother wedding on tonight’s Channel 4 highlights show, but for now I thought you all may want to have a quick look at the moment when Mario and Stephanie got fake married!
Luckily, BB didn’t make them wait too long after the ceremony before revealing the truth to the housemates!
Big Brother housemates, Mario and Lisa have revealed that they think Stephanie should be the housemate evicted this Friday, as she was the one who messed up the secret task.
Big Brother told Mario, Lisa, Luke and Stephanie on the first night that they must convince the other housemates that Mario and Lisa were complete strangers and that Mario and Stephanie were the real couple.
However since Steph mostly refused to look at Mario, never mind kiss him, the group soon sussed that something was wrong with the pairing.

Mario and Stephanie’s wedding of the year went ahead today, despite many doubts and arguments! However, no sooner had the champagne corks been popped than Big Brother announced that the couple were fake and gave the group one minute to guess who the real couple were.
Michael announced that they suspected Mario and Lisa, and though I bet they’re glad to be able to act like a couple again, it can’t be nice to know that one could leave this Friday night…..
Uh oh….it looks like Mario, Stephanie, Lisa and Luke may face eviction this week after all. They were given the task to pretend that Mario and Stephanie are a real couple, but only two days in and it looks like the others have already rumbled them!
Channel 4 reported that Darnell, Dennis, Alexandra, Sylvia and Dale visited the diary room yesterday evening saying:

Not content with a fake proposal, Big Brother has this evening announced that there will be impending nuptials to the rest of the housemates.
Addressing the group today BB revealed:
“Before Mario entered the Big Brother House, Big Brother was aware that he would propose to Stephanie,” started Big Brother. “In the hope that Stephanie would accept Mario’s hand in marriage, Big Brother made the necessary enquiries with regard to hosting a wedding.” Read more & comment »
Big Brother housemates, Mario and Stephanie are on a secret mission to convince the rest of the house that they are a genuine couple. I thought the pair would mess it up big style, but it seems that by last night the pair were already arguiung like an old married couple.

Girls Aloud reject, Stephanie McMichael, has been confirmed as one of the housemates who will enter the Big Brother house tonight.
19-year-old Stephanie first appeared on television as a 13-year-old on Popstars: The Rivals. However after reaching the final 25 contestants, producers discovered she had lied about her age, after claiming she was 16. Stephanie was forced to leave the show and missed out on a chance to become a member of Girls Aloud as a result.
She now sings and plays guitar in a band called the Kinky Minks but is focusing more on her studies. Stephanie says she feels strongly about politics, and says that “thick” people make her angry – as well as people who accuse her of having a boob job, as her breasts are real. She’s attracted to “fit, tall, dark and rich men” and once dated BB6 winner Anthony Hutton. Read more & comment »
