Hip Hip Hurray!!! Tom Chambers won Strictly Come Dancing last night and though I do think Rachel Stevens was probably a better dancer technically, she just didn’t have Tom’s sparkle……or his gorgeous bum!
Lisa Snowdon and Brendan Cole were the first couple to leave and I think it was plain to see why, after he almost dropped her during their subsequent show dance. Tom and Rachel both wowed the judges with their final dances, though Tom’s was different, unusual and unexpected and I think had a slight edge over Rachel and Vincent’s sexy latin number.

It is of course the final of Strictly Come Dancing tonight, and last week was the X Factor final, but which reality TV show has been your favourite this year?
There’ve been plenty to choose from, that’s for sure! Apart from Strictly and X Factor, we’ve had Big Brother and its spin off early in the year, Celebrity Hijack. There’s also been I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Dancing On Ice, I’d Do Anything – which was about the search for three young actors to play Oliver in London’s West End – Britain’s Got Talent, The Apprentice and Celeb Air.
For me, my favourites have to be – rather predictably – Big Brother, X Factor and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, in that order. I can pretty much take or leave the rest but those three were compulsive viewing for me, so let’s take a quick look back at some of the best bits from those three shows…

Strictly Come Dancing star, Rachel Stevens has injured her back just days before this weekends final show.
A source told The Daily Mail:
“Rachel’s having emergency physio and is taking painkillers,” an insider said. “It couldn’t have come at a worse time because she’s desperate to be fully fit for the final.
“She’s been struggling with her back and all the lifts haven’t helped. She really jarred it after falling heavily. It’s a real shame.”

After insisting they wouldn’t, BBC have tonight announced their decision to refund anyone who voted during Saturday night’s show.
The BBC froze the vote lines after the first show when they realised there was no way for Tom Chambers to make it out of the bottom two, all votes cast were to be tallied and counted for next weeks final which would contain all three couples.
However since then viewers sent 1,687 emails and made 193 calls of complaint at the decision to let all the couples stay.
A statement from the BBC said it worked with an independent adjudicator to decide the fairest way to tackle the controversy.

Bruce Forsyth has revealed that he has no intention of leaving Strictly Come Dancing, and says that he has ways and means of dealing with the tough filming schedule.
“On a Saturday I’m in the studio for 12 hours. From a TV point of view, that’s a week’s work in one day. So I pace myself the rest of the week,” he told The Mirror.
“I spend all day Sunday in bed. I have a long lie-in, get up for lunch, go back to bed and watch a bit of football, then I get up for a bit of supper. It’s all I can do. I rest a lot, I stay in bed a long time because if I do that I know I can get through it.”

BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing was at the centre of a furore last night after the BBC decided to suspend the public phone vote.
All three semi-finalist couples were astounded when it was announced they were all going through to next Saturday’s grand final, but the fact that tens of thousands of viewers needlessly rang in to save their favourite couple has caused outrage.
According to the Sunday Mirror, the BBC’s switchboard and internet forums were overwhelmed with complaints from viewers who felt they’d wasted their money when it turned out that their votes were being carried forward to next week.

The tension on Striclty Come Dancing this week was almost palpable as all three couple recounted how hard they’d worked on their routines this week and how much it meant to all of them to get through to the final.
List and Brendan were the first to dance and Brendan seemed to have got over his anger at last week’s judges scores on his and Lisa’s jive performance. Their first dance, the Argentine tango, was a stunning performance. Lisa wore a sequined and sparkling short dress that showed she has legs up to her armpits!

Austin Healy has left Strictly Come Dancing and failed to make it through to the semi final of the show.
This has been a bit of a shocker as until this week Austin was one of those tipped to win the show, however last night he lost out on his ballroom number and ended up at the bottom of the leader board.
Austin ended up in the bottom two with Lisa Snowdon. I am surprised the judges saved Lisa as it is hardly the first time the public have put her in this position.
