Capital Radio DJ, Lisa Snowdon has said that she would have been happy to lose to John Sergeant had he not left the show last month.
“I wouldn’t have minded if John had beaten me,” she told Metro. “Not at all. It’s an entertainment show and popularity counts.
“The dancing is only 50% of the show, the public is the other half. We can’t control how much viewers like us.”

New Zealand dancer, Brendan Cole has revealed that he would love to be a judge on Strictly Come Dancing.
Brendan told Closer magazine:
“I’d jump into a seat in a heartbeat! I love this show.”

Northern Irelands Christine Bleakley has danced her last dance on Strictly Come Dancing and was voted off the show tonight.
The One Show presenter found herself in a dance-off with Rachel Stevens and all four judges voted to save Stevens.

Strictly Come Dancing competitor, Lisa Snowdon has said that she thinks she will be next for the axe as she has failed to rally enough public support.
Lisa and dance partner Brendan Cole have been in the bottom two twcie now and have been saved by the judges both times. However The Sun claims that Lisa thinks her time is running out and fears that she is not popular enough to win the show.

BBC bosses have rubbished claims by the Daily Mail that they are planning to sack two Strictly Come Dancing judges after the departure of John Sergeant.
“The BBC’s head honchos were furious that John Sergeant fell on his sword. He was the most enormous ratings winner and executives think the judges overstepped the mark,” a corporation source was quoted as telling the newspaper.
“Arlene and Craig have the axe hanging over them depending on how ratings do in the rest of the show over the next month.”

Model and television presenter Jodie Kidd tonight became the eleventh celebrity to leave BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing.
After performing the jive, the combination of the viewer votes and judges’ scores left Jodie and her partner Ian Waite in the bottom two with Lisa Snowdon and Brendan Cole.
Both couples had to perform a second time for the judges’ deciding vote.

John Sergeant’s wife is said to be glad that he left the show, as she was unprepared for the media attention his persistence created.
“After last Saturday’s show, it was clear John was in the show for the long haul. The public were taking to his hopeless dancing and there was a desire to see him continue,” a source told The Mirror.
“For Mary this was all too much and she urged John to reconsider his position. John going on the show was a great idea to begin with and the whole family thought it was a hoot.

This weekend has seen the departure of two of the biggest characters in reality TV right now; Rachel Hylton and John Sargeant.
Rachel was pushed by the judges who – finally – voted her off while John voluntarily jumped, but the ironic thing is, while we the voting public were all studiously voting to keep the very likeable John in Strictly, many of us were equally studiously avoiding voting for the noxious Rachel. And while she was saved several times by the judges, poor John took the judges opinion into account over the public’s and left.
Fortunately, Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole finally recognised that given that Rachel had been in the bottom two no less than three times, it was probably a fair indicator of the fact that she isn’t liked by the public. They also wisely acknowledged that although Rachel can undoubtedly sing, her talent wasn’t enough to carry her through what is as much a popularity contest as one about talent, and that’s where Strictly came unglued over John.

Christine Bleakley has revealed that she is holding back on Strictly Come Dancing due to her self concious nature.
“All the other people on Strictly seem so confident, and aren’t afraid to hurl themselves into it. I’m the one holding back,” Bleakley told the Daily Mail. “I get annoyed at myself for listening to the voice in my head, which says: ‘But you can’t think you are any good’.
