Susan Boyle has been booked to headline yet another high profile gig, it has been reported.

The Britain’s Got Talent star performed for Pope Benedict XVI on his tour of Britain and this summer, she is set to play for the head of the Church Of England, as she sings as part of Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The 50 year old Scottish singer will reportedly perform at Royal Windsor Horse Show and will be joined on the lineup by Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins, Canadian star Michael Buble and another of Simon Cowell’s acts, classical singers Il Divo.

“This show will be a major highlight of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations,” a source told The Sun, adding:

“Susan is a huge global star and it’s a great booking for such a prestigious event.”

Susan has a busy year ahead, as next month she will celebrate the launch of a musical – titled I Dreamed a Dream – based on her own life story. It was originally reported that Boyle would appear as herself in the show, however it was later announced that actress Elaine C Smith would be portraying her. Susan will join the cast of I Dreamed a Dream for a cameo appearance and the première will be at the Theatre Royal Newcastle, where it runs from 23 to 31 March 2012, and it thereafter tours the UK and Ireland.

She will also attend The Grammy Awards next week, where she has been nominated in the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album category, for her second album ‘The Gift.’

Susan Boyle has admitted that she’d love to see Dannii Minogue returning to The X Factor.

The new mum left the ITV series earlier this year, due to a filming conflict between it and Australia’s Got Talent but SuBo thinks the panel worked better with the Australian star on it.

In an interview with Digital Spy, the ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ hitmaker was asked about the falling ratings and if the show can survive without Simon Cowell – who left to front his new American version – and said:

“It’s different this year but it always was going to be. I wish they’d bring back Dannii Minogue. I thought she was a great judge.”

However, she does think there is real talent on the 2011 series and revealed that along with most of the British bookmakers, she is backing newly returned singer Amelia Lily to win next month.

She added: “I’m supporting Amelia [Lily] this year. I think she’s great and I’m glad she is back in the show.”

Susan has recently released her third studio record ‘Someone To Watch Over Me’ and is holding the number one spot in album charts both in the UK and America. This week she became the first woman to have three successive albums debut at No.1 in the UK in the space of just two years.

This year’s X Factor winner will only be able to dream about success like that!

There has to be one Subo like contestant in every TV talent series around these days it would seem and in this year’s American X factor, it looks like that person will be Josh Krajcik.

The 30 year old hopeful was featured on last night’s episode of the Fox reality TV series and from his greasy, scruffy apperance, you would have been forgiven for thinking you were about to witness a freak at work. You know, one of those joke auditions where the contestant sings worse than your dog howling at the moon.

However, in what should have been a predictable twist, the self-confessed “burrito slinger” turned out to be quite the crooner and wowed the judges with his rendition of Etta James’ At Last (we used to love this track before it became reality TV fodder!).

After his over protective mum stopped fussing over him, Josh took to the stage and performed for the judging panel and Joe Cocker couldn’t have done any better himself.

His raspy, growly vocals were a joy to listen to and even though Krajcik does have a face for radio, we found ourselves hoping he would make it to the live shows, just so we could hear what else he has to offer.

The judges were blown away by his audition and Simon Cowell started the commentary, admitting that he didn’t think he could still be surprised by confessing that he loved Josh’s honesty.

L.A. Reid was slightly more cynical and said ‘you’re not fooling me for a second!’. He thinks Josh looked so bad, because he wants to make a big impact with his before and after moments…..he may have a point.

Cheryl Cole said: “The room’s electric right now. You just killed it!”

While Paula Abdul added that Josh’s performance was an ‘incredible treat.’

It’s been reported today that former Britain’s Got Talent finalist Susan Boyle is currently working on a new album that will feature cover versions of tracks by Depeche Mode and Tears For Fears.

According to What’s On TV, Susan will record her renditions of classic tracks such as Someone To Watch Over Me, Autumn Leaves and Unchained Melody.

She said of the new album, “There are certain songs that I liked that resonated with the letters that people had written and sent to me.

“I knew that’s what my record needed to be about. They wrote about grief, love, happy and sad times…

“It was all deeply moving and the songs mirror the emotion and life experience.”

Susan, who has of course already sold 14 million albums, is expected to continue her phenomenal sales record when the new album comes out on November 7.

Simon Cowell has set the record straight on his financial relationship with Susan Boyle.

The X Factor boss had quipped that he took half of the Britain’s Got Talent star’s earning during an interview on Howard Stern’s radio show earlier this week, but has now claimed that his comments were a joke and insisted that he doesn’t take advantage of the Scottish singer.

It was reported last year, that Boyle had earned over £10 million since finishing on the ITV show, but Cowell told The Sun that he doesn’t even charge her for his companies management service.

He said:

“Honest to God, it was joking. We pay her a royalty. I don’t take any management commission, nothing.”

Simon added: “She’s on a good royalty and she’s made millions of pounds. I don’t take a penny of commission from her.”

Boyle will soon see her life story made into a stage show. The star’s childhood and teenage years are to become the focus of new international stage production ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ in 2012.

We know, we’re a bit fed up with people comparing reality TV contestants to Susan Boyle too, but apparently we can expect another geeky singer on this year’s X Factor show.

Insiders say that Subo fan Roger Boyd stunned the judges (much like Michael Collings did on Britain’s Got Talent) at the recent Liverpool auditions, as he launched into an unexpectedly good rendition of a high energy Meatloaf song.

Before singing, the wannabe from Portrush, Northern Ireland, admitted that Susan Boyle is his idol and bemused Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh by admitting that he had even named his cat Pebbles, after her pet.

An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Just like SuBo, Roger looked a bit geeky and not an obvious star when he walked on without much stage presence, but he launched into Meatloaf’s ‘I’d Do Anything For Love’ and the crowd went wild.

“The judges had no hesitation in putting Roger through. If he gets to the finals he will be given a great makeover.”

After his audition, Take That star Gary said:

“I absolutely loved it. That was great.”

Louis asked: “Why didn’t we come here before?”

The Sun reports that when Susan check into the “posh” hotel, she saw some members of staff laughing, and immediately assumed they were poking fun at her.

The paper states that she “gave a couple of lads a piece of her mind after getting the wrong end of the stick during her stay”.

A source close to the singer said, “Susan wasn’t very happy. She walked into the hotel lobby and thought one of the members of staff was making jokes about her, so she got quite upset…

“She wanted to know what she had done and why they were laughing at her.

“In the end they had to get up and walk away. But anyone would get upset if they thought someone was laughing at them.”

Susan Boyle will soon see her life story made into a stage show.

The former Britain’s Got Talent contestant – who went on to break international sales records and sell more than 14 million albums worldwide – will see her childhood and teenage years become the focus of new international stage production ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ in 2012.

‘Rab C. Nesbitt’ actress Elaine C Smith will take on the role of SUBO and the Scottish singer has confessed that she is thrilled at the prospect of seeing her life turned into a worldwide musical.

She said: “I am happy that the musical is being produced, I never thought my life story would end up on the stage but a lot has happened in two years and it is a very exciting prospect. I hope everyone enjoys the show and I promise there will be a few surprises along the way.”

Meanwhile, producer Michael Harrison claimed the brand new musical will have all the qualities of a real-life “fairytale”.

He added: “She is an inspiring woman and her story is an excellent one to tell – someone with a raw talent who surprises the world and overturns all the odds to make a new life for herself.

“It’s got all the qualities of a fairytale, but with the added bonus of being absolutely true. I am looking forward to the tour very much.”

‘I Dreamed A Dream’ will open at Newcastle’s Theatre Royal on March 23 2012 before going on tour.

Tickets for the Newcastle shows will go on sale on July 7..

Susan Boyle has reportedly decided to leave her massive new home and move back to the old council house she grew up in.

The Britain’s Got Talent star recently bought a five bedroom £300,000 dwelling in West Lothian and held a massive house warming bash to celebrate her new home. However, insiders say the singer couldn’t settle in her new property and now wants to move home.

A source told Scotland’s Sunday Mail: “She wants to return because she is part of the community which she has missed. Susan is a people person and does not like being on her own. She misses the day-to-day contact that she used to enjoy with neighbours and friends.

“Her new home is very luxurious, and I know that she loves it to bits, but it’s not the same. She is still the same old Susan who will stop to talk to you in the street and thinks nothing of jumping on a bus to go shopping.”

However, a spokesperson for Boyle stated: “She has not told us about this, but it may be that she has decided to move back.”
