Dancing On Ice winner, Suzanne Shaw is ro marry her boyfriend of three years, Jason King, according to friends.
“Suzanne has been on a complete high since winning the show,” a source told the Daily Star Sunday. “She’s been with JK for almost three years and they’re very settled. They’re in no rush to get hitched and both agree that next summer would be the perfect time.
“Suzanne knows exactly what she wants for her big day and it’s going to be a very glitzy affair. After Darren she never dreamed she’d find happiness again, let alone want to get married. But Jason is perfect for her. He’s a brilliant dad to Corey and they’re a very happy family.”
Chris Fountain may have been tipped to win last night’s Dancing On Ice TV show, but who could have doubted that Suzanne Shaw would steal the crown after watching this amazing performance?
In case you missed last nights show, here is the routine that earned Suzanne her perfect score of thirty from the judges.
After six months of gruelling training, spending close to 600 hours on the ice, and having been whittled down from twelve, the three remaining celebrities battled it out in the final of Dancing on Ice.
The three finalists first had to do a dance involving a flying element, and then each had to perform their favourite performance from all their dances so far.
Tonight everything was about the PUBLIC vote. While the judges gave marks, tonight these didn’t count, and the public vote only determined who won.
While Zaraah narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction, Suzanne received the first ever double clean sweep of 6’s by the judges dancing to Time to Say Goodbye and both Music by Madonna. Her performance left her, Jayne Torvill, Holly Willoughby, Karen Barber and her son Corey in the audience in floods of tears! Read more & comment »
TV’s real Mr Nasty, Jason Gardiner has hit out at the two celebrities most likely to win tonight’s Dancing On Ice final.
Jason is backing Coronation Street actress Zaraah Abrahams to win, but hasn’t many nice things to say about Suzanne Shaw or Chris Fountain.
His sharp tongue lashed out at Suzanne first when he told The News Of The World:
“She’s still using the sympathy vote which is unnecessary at this stage of the competition. Skating’s dangerous – Torvill and Dean are constantly getting hurt. In the end I feel most people yawn, ‘Oh God, she’s whingeing again.”
“It’s a negative strategy and she’s good enough to be able to stand on her work alone. The bottom line is everyone’s been hurt. It’s just the way it goes.”
Jason added he believes Hollyoaks actor Chris is selfish.
“He’s not a generous partner. It’s all about Chris. He’s a young lad and he’s in a self-consumed bubble,” he says. Read more & comment »
Suzanne Shaw has revealed that her recent the pain caused by her recent Dancing On Ice injury was worse than childbirth!
Suzanne told The Sun: “When I did it and they put my foot in an ice bucket, the pain was worse than childbirth. It was absolute agony. I was terrified I’d have to pull out of the competition but I’m determined to keep going for Matt’s sake. I nearly robbed him of the chance to compete in the final.”
She added: “Matt has taught me so much and has been such a great friend that I’m determined to to put in a mammoth effort and make sure we deliver a great performance this coming weekend.”
Former Hear’say singer, Suzanne Shaw may be forced to drop out of ITV’s Dancing On Ice TV show after chipping a bone in her ankle.
Suzanne has had a bad week in rehearsals. First she cut her partner Matt’s face with her skate blade, and now she has sustained quite a bad injury herself.
Shaw will undergo intensive physiotherapy.
ITV said: “Suzanne will only take to the ice if the physio gives her the go-ahead before the show.”
Dancing on Ice star Suzanne Shaw has just cut skating partner Matt Evers face with the blade of her skate in an accident on the training rink.
The pair were practicing their routine for Dancing on Ice’s props week, when Suzanne did a handstand on top of their prop, a chair, and as she went up, her blade scraped down Matt’s face.
Medics have rushed onto the ice and are currently looking at whether he will need stitches or if the cut to his face can be glued, but he’s definately been left with a black eye!
Suzanne accepted the award, and spoke out against many people’s attitudes to single parents.
She said: “It really does annoy me when people criticise single mums. I remember experiencing it when my mum divorced my dad and going to church and being told that divorce was wrong.
“My mum ran out in tears. I would rather my mum was happy than unhappy.
“I’m absolutely disgusted by it. I turn my back on people like that. We don’t become mothers because we don’t want to stay with our partners. I’m giving Corey a good a life as anybody.” Read more & comment »
Anyone watching Dancing On Ice on ITV1 last night would never have guessed that Suzanne Shaw was injured.
It was hard to believe as she skated to the Fame theme tune, that she was suffering from a cracked rib, but suffering she was.
Suzanne sustained the injury during a lift in yesterday’s rehearsals and after seeing a doctor, and getting seriously strapped up, Suzanne decided that the show must go on. Read more & comment »
Dancing On Ice bosses are said to be trying their best to keep Suzanne Shaw and Zaraah Abrahams apart behind the scenes of the show, due to an ever widening rift that is forming between the pair.
It has been said that former Hear’say singer Suzanne Shaw was sure that she had little competition among the female skaters this year, until Zaraah entered the contest late last week, and wowed the judges. Read more & comment »
“We’ve all been giggling about Chris and Suzanne. They’ve been quite flirty with each other. He’s a single guy and she’s a very attractive girl. That’s the thing about this show – the girls look really sexy so the blokes’ jaws keep hitting the floor.”
Chris better watch out, as Suzanne is currently dating Radio One DJ, Jason King, and I can’t imagine he’d be too amused about this development!
TV personality and singer Suzanne Shaw, 26, was a huge fan of Dancing On Ice last year and is thrilled to be competing this time
around. Confessing that she has only stepped onto the ice a handful of times in her entire life she has already decided that she never wants to stop.
“I’m loving every second of ice skating. I absolutely love it. I want to do it for the rest of my life. I now want to be an ice skater.”
Despite a slight injury, Suzanne has been looking after herself and making sure she is keeping fit by going to the gym regularly and
cutting out her beloved chocolate and beer.
“At the moment I’m probably average. Not average as in pro-average, average as in average. I think I’m doing well. There are certain things that I do struggle with but there are other things that are my stronger points,” explains Suzanne.
“It’s a hell of a lot harder than I thought it would be and I think that’s purely because the pros make it look so easy. Everyone is going to bring something different to the skating rink and it’s hard to tell who will be my main rival because I haven’t actually seen many people skate.” Read more & comment »
