Big Brother’s Golden Ticket draw to select a new housemate breached prize promotion rules, industry watchdogs have announced.

Nestle, Channel 4 and Endemol failed to have an independent observer present when a winning number was picked, according to the Advertising Standards Authority.

Officials launched an investigation after 11 viewers complained about the way model Susie Verrico won her place in the house.

The Golden Ticket promotion involved 100 tickets being hidden inside KitKat bars.

A live lottery-style draw was then broadcast in which one ticketholder’s number was picked.

Some viewers thought the draw was rigged and 43-year-old Susie had been pre-selected as winner.

The ASA has criticised Nestle, Channel 4 and Endemol for failing to ensure an independent observer was present immediately before and during the live draw.

The ASA ruling said: “We investigated whether the promotion was conducted under the supervision of an independent observer.

“On this point, the promotion breached the Committee of Advertising Practice Code clause 35.7 (prize promotions).”

It told the competition’s promoters to ensure competitions complied with the code in future.

The ASA rejected complaints from viewers who thought the ball numbers were rigged.

An independent observer had signed a check-sheet proving that 34 numbered balls had entered the draw.

Slow-motion footage showed the winning ball was “undoubtedly” Susie Verrico’s winning number 14, the ASA found.

In a joint response Nestle, Channel 4 and Endemol said an observer was not present during the draw because Big Brother rules prevented outsiders coming into contact with housemates.

They said the draw was carried out in the presence of 10 housemates under continuous monitoring by a production team while watched live by five million viewers.

The public are currently voting on who they would like to place in the secret house next door, and the list of housemates is as follows:

Grace, Jayne, Lea, Lisa, Michael, Nikki, Sam, Spiral, Mikey and Susie

Dawn, Shahbaz, George, Bonnie and Sezer have not been invited back due to reasons outlined here.

Out of the available ex-housemates I would like to see Grace, Nikki and Lisa return, and I don’t really care who else, they all bore me so let the British public decide!

It looks like Lea was right. Upon leaving the Big Brother house she declared to Davina McCalll that Suzie Verrico was a “nasty piece of work” and assured viewers that we weren’t yet seeing the real her.

Suzie would like us to believe that she is whiter than white, that butter wouldn’t melt, however now and then we get a glimpse at what lurks under the surface, and it isn’t always pretty.

When Suzie entered the house, it wasn’t long before the tabloids discovered her sordid past. Now Jayne seems to have discovered a few secrets of her own

For example today, when food and supplies are thin on the ground in the Big Brother house, Jayne discovered that Suzie has a secret stash of supplies hidden behind her bed.

She confronted Suzie and it went something like this:

“Here, look at Susie,” said Jayne, “You’ve got like 35 bog rolls.”

“Leave it alone,” said Susie. “It’s my stash. No-one will listen to me about keeping things back, so I’ve put it aside.”

Jayne nodded and walked into the kitchen. But a panicked-looking Susie was in quick pursuit. “If they won’t do as I ask then I have to do something about it as we won’t have any bread,” she explained, gesturing to the dough she’d left to prove on the doorstep.

“Good girl,” nodded Jayne. “Quite right.”

“And those tea bags are left over from before anyway,” added Susie.

“Susie, you crack me up,” laughed Jayne.

“What, my storing carry-on? It’s all the creeping around I’ve had to do,” she said.

“But why?” asked Jayne.

“If I didn’t we wouldn’t have anything,” she pointed out.

“Mmm. A bit of jam on that bread would be nice,” drooled Jayne.

“Don’t broadcast it,” begged Susie.

“I won’t say a word where you’re concerned Susie,” said not so discreet Jayne. “I’m keeping you at my right arm, mate.”

“You never know what other rabbit I’ll pull out of my hat. I could have a joint of roast beef under my bed,” replied Suzie.

I just want to beg all you Big Brother voters out there to please please please don’t vote for Suzie Verrico this week.

This weeks nomination and voting process is unique, in that you are not voting to get rid of a housemate, but rather voting to keep them in the secret house, with 5 new Big Brother housemates.

If Aisleyne is voted into the secret house, you can expect some excitement, lots of bitchiness, maybe even a love interest. If Suzie enters you can expect a lot of tea drinking and thats about it!

The only interesting aspect of Suzie leaving the main house, would be watching how Richard would cope without her.

Vote Aisleyne this week, keep your votes for Suzie until she is actually nominated proper, then we can get rid of the leather faced lady!

As a reward for winning the recent soap task Glyn, Suzie and Imogen were treated to champagne, strawberries and chocs, plus a full range of beauty products.

The trio enjoyed their reward,sharing a relaxing bubble bath, with the other envious housemates listening at the door.

Nikkis curiousity got the better of her and she shouted:”What is in there?”

“We’ve got two guys with robes on, drop-dead gorgeous guys massaging us and a beautiful girl for Glyn,” Susie lies.

Princess Nikki almost turned green with envy!

With the housemates wiping their behinds quicker than Suzie can say “stop taking the p**s”, Big Brothers Golden Housemate Suzie Verrico has hidden her final toilet roll before the housemates leave her with none.

She moaned to Lea:

“We all do little things sometimes — and I fear I’ve done something naughty.

“My loo roll is being used up at an alarming rate, so I’ve had to hide it. I feel really mean, but I only have a tiny bit left.�

Lea replied: “I don’t blame you.â€?

Well at least one housemate won’t be drip drying by the end of the week!

Grace and her cronies are well p****d off now! This morning the housemates woke up in the ‘State of Suzie’, to find pictures of their fellow housemate covering the walls, a Susie statue was erected in the living room, a Susie plinth stood upright in the garden and Big Brother had even built a Susie shrine for her unsuspecting citizens to kneel before.

After breakfast the housemates were summoned to the gardens by their new leader and told,

“My reign begins today. You are my obedient people. You must obey my commands.”

Suzie Verrico then ran through the rules/laws of the task which include

* Housemates only allowed to sing Susie’s three favourite songs ‘Living on a Prayer’ by Bon Jovi, ‘You’re Just Too Good To Be True’ by Andy Williams, and ‘I Like The Way You Move’ by The Bodyrockers.

*Eating will be restricted to Susie’s favourite foods which include lobster, poached salmon, and strawberries.

* Susie will over see various mini-tasks from a presidential podium in the garden which include designing flags and parades, shooting a tourist video and composing a national anthem.

“You must give me unconditional loyalty and obedience,” continued Susie. “I’m in a state. And so are you.”

Big Brother housemates Grace Adam-Short and Nikki Grahame were today placed up for eviction by Golden Housemate Suzie Verrico.

The decision was a shock to no one but still the girls seem to have taken it badly and reacted by quickly seeking their revenge.

Tonight just before 7pm, Nikki and Grace crept into Suzies golden bedroom and stole a bottle of her champagne.

They legged it to the toilet where they were caught drinking it by Imogen and Lisa. They invited the to to join them for an illicit drink.

“Keep it quiet,” whispered Grace. “Don’t make it obvious.”

“Go and get some cups,” added Nikki.

“It’s really gassy,” slurped Grace.

Imogen wasn’t tempted by the stolen alcohol, but Lisa got busy planning their next raid. “You want chocolates! I’ll hide ‘em later,” she said.

“We’re going to get punished,” said Grace. “She shouldn’t have picked us. This is revenge.”

After they’d finished the girls stumbled into the bedroom and confessed their crime to Mikey.

“We did the lot. We drank her champagne,” hiccupped Grace. “She went into the Diary Room and we just ran in. Funny as f***!”

Suzie couldn’t have picked two better people!

Big Brother called newest housemate Suzie Verrico to the diary room last night and gave her a list of ‘Golden Rules’ that she must abide by at all times in the house.

1. She is forbidden from discussing any information from the outside world about BB or the housemates.

2. She will have her own golden quarters, sleeping in a golden bed, using a golden toilet and taking a golden shower each day.

3. She must wear golden outfits supplied by BB at all times.

While she changed into her new golden hotpants, Big Brother then told the housemates that next week’s nominations will be on Monday and only Suzie will be permitted to vote. The two people she selects will automatically go up for the public vote.

BB warns that if any of the housemates mentions this to Suzie they will also be up for eviction.

Poor Suzie has been dropped right in it! I wouldn’t want to be in her shoes next week!
