Channel 5 are reportedly considering T4 host Alice Levine as the presenter of their new Big Brother series.

Many assumed that show bosses would choose someone who had previously been affiliated with the reality TV series – such as Josie Gibson or Emma Willis – to front the new run. However, insiders say that producers have been impressed by Levine’s presenting style and The Daily Star reports that the bubbly red head has said that she “would not shy away” from giving the celebrity housemates an in depth questioning.

She is reported to have said:

“My dream interviewee would be someone starry like a big Hollywood name. But I’d be really star-struck by someone I admire, like Steve Coogan or Ricky Gervais.”

Channel 5 bigwigs are said to be sure Levine would be a big hit with loyal BB fans.

Alice currently fronts “Pop Up Pop Quiz” for T4 and “Celebrity Bites” on MTV.
A source said: “She says she’s not afraid to be nosy and that’s exactly what the fans would like.”

X Factor rejects John and Edward Grimes are starting to enjoy their first trappings of fame and will be taking a private plane to get them to Channel 4’s winter music event T4’s Stars of 2009, at London’s Earls Court on Sunday.

After revealing they were big T4 fans, they managed to get their hands on a jet and will be flown into London in the afternoon to greet the crowds and will appear on the live TV show, where Miquita Oliver will put them on the spot with an interview in front of the crowd of over 15,000 people.

They will then jump aboard their plane in the early evening after the show finishes at 5pm and will be whisked aboard for their next gig in Glasgow.

Watch the show on Channel 4 this Sunday at 3pm.

Topping off a fantastic 2009, JLS are sure to get the crowd moving as they take to the London stage to wow their ever-devoted fans. They will be joined by long-time T4 favourites Sugababes, who promise a dazzling performance as they join the star-studded event.

X Factor winner Alexandra Burke will be showing why she was a worthy winner as she showcases the powerful voice that set her on the road to stardom. Hit music maker Calvin Harris will get the dance floor pumping with his mix of anthems while chart-topping act La Roux also joins the line-up to bring her electro-synth pop to the stage.

The event will be presented by Steve Jones, Miquita Oliver and Rick Edwards. Alongside the top music acts, ticket holders will be treated to guest appearances from a number of special celebrity guests from top Channel 4 and T4 programmes. Many more acts will be announced in the coming weeks. There will also be a Celebrity Disco and Signing Area where fans can get up close and personal with their idols, plus a Catwalk area featuring fashion themed live entertainment.

The event will also feature the announcement of the winner of the Rimmel London Presents The World’s Greatest Popstars series. The 4music/T4 series sees ten of the world’s best living pop acts battling it out for the title of “Greatest Popstar” as voted by the British public through www.4music.com. Will Britney Spears pip Madonna to the post? Or will Robbie Williams be victorious? The hotly anticipated announcement will be made exclusively at the Stars of 2009 event.

Tickets for the event go on sale tomorrow and music fans are advised to snap them up quickly to avoid disappointment.
