Sir Alan Sugar’s right hand woman, Margaret Mountford, has revealed that Sir Alan Sugar often goes easier on younger candidates on the show.
In an interview with the Radio Times, admitted: “The youth thing. He does make allowances for people without the common sense, gravitas or moderation that some learn with years.”
Margaret also revealed that Sir Alan also has a bit of a soft spot for those who have had a hard upbringing also. Read more & comment »
I can’t wait to see The Apprentice on BBC One tomorrow night. In this weeks episode, Sir Alan brings in the interviewers to grill the candidates and in the clip below you will see that Alex is branded as boring, Lucinda is unemployable and Claire is not an Apprentice!
This week’s Apprentice is on TONIGHT instead of tomorrow because of the damned football. So don’t miss it!
In this weeks task, the teams have to hire out super cars to members of the unsuspecting public.
Here is a great clip of Lucinda accosting people on Kings Road London. The only problem is she isn’t actually sure what car she is trying to sell!!! Dopey cow!
Apprentice bosses have confirmed that they called in a psychologist for Apprentice contestant Sara Dhada after she was verbally attacked by her fellow hopefuls.
Footage that aired a few weeks ago, of the group ganging up on Sara and loudly questioning her contributions to the tasks, sparked a number of complaints to the BBC, and in reponse to one such complaint the BBC replied:
“The pressure on the candidates is immense and there are times when emotions overflow. There is a specifically designated team in the house to offer support to the candidates and to step in if it is deemed necessary. Read more & comment »
Apprentice hopeful, Claire Young, has been accused of cheating by a fellow team mate.
The gobby retail buyer has been accused of cheating during a recent ’supercars’ task, in which the final six contestants have to try and rent out ’super expensive’ cars to members of the public.
Claire has been accused of making a number of phone calls to her friends off camera in a bid to drum up business, this would be a breach of Apprentice rules which state that all calls must be made on camera.
A show insider told The People: “The other contestant claims Claire made a couple of cheeky phone calls to mates. The others went up the wall. Read more & comment »
I can’t believe it! How on earth did Michael survive last night’s boardroom grilling and Raef got sent home?
In last night’s Apprentice the teams were asked to design a box of tissues, then come up with a thirty second commercial to promote it. Raef’s team not only made a better commercial, but he and Michael also entertained us with their own theatrical and musical numbers. Granted, they should have actually featured their product in the ad, emitting that was a fundamental mistake, but I really don’t think that Raef should have been the one leaving the show.
Alex’s team made an ad that was more like a 1970’s school educational film. Very over acted, very cheesy, VERY unbelievable. The only thing they got right was that they prominently featured their hideously designed box of tissues in almost every shot. His team went into the board room, fully expecting to lose, and based on Lee’s stammering, stuttering presentation they probably should have. Read more & comment »
On tomorrow nights Apprentice, Sir Alan’s remaining charges are tasked with designing their own brand of tissues, as well as creating a television commercial and print advertisement to launch them onto the market.
First they have to name their product and the boys actually consider calling the nose wipers ‘SNOT’. Luckily, Lucinda is at hand to make some more sensible suggestions!
There has been a lot of speculation today that Sir Alan Sugar is planning on having four people in this years Apprentice final rather than the normal two.
According to The Daily Mirror, the last-minute change in format to the hit TV show is apparently because Sir Alan is struggling to choose between the remaining contestants.
A show source reportedly said: “As this series has gone on, Sir Alan has found it harder to narrow down the field. He is now torn between a number of possible Apprentices. Read more & comment »
Sara Dhada last night became the latest hopeful to be sacked by Sir Alan Sugar.
Sara was probably lucky to have lasted so long on the show, since almost every team leader she has had has blasted her for being lazy, quiet and giving little or no contribution to their task.
Sara’s team on last night’s show had a stall at a wedding fair, and Sara was in charge of selling wedding cakes. She reeked of desperation and she was pushing people so hard, I almost expected her to wrestle one of the women to the ground and steal the money from her purse!
Recent Apprentice evictee, Jenny Celerier, has no man, and doesn’t look likely to land one any time soon due to her all new super bitch reputation.
According to The People, Jenny told a friend: “Blokes don’t come anywhere near me. They’ve seen me acting like a bitch on the show and given me a wide berth. I’ll admit I went a bit over the top when I shouted at Lucinda and made her cry. I’ve apologised to her for that but they were crocodile tears - she was playing up for the cameras.”
Celerier was fired by Sir Alan Sugar on Wednesday night’s show, however Jenny has spoken out against Sugar sayin g that he based the decision on his personal feelings towards her.
“I didn’t like the way Sir Alan fired me,” she explained. “I don’t believe he got rid of me purely for business reasons, it was just because he didn’t like me. Yes, I can be straight-talking and tell people what I think. Yes, I can be bitchy. But I’m always upfront, and I am not mediocre.” Read more & comment »
Get set for an Apprentice shocker tonight, as Sir Alan Sugar sacks two of the candidates amidst a cheating scandal.
The teams are set a task in Morocco but two of the team are sacked as Sir Alan discovers that they attempted to bribe a market trader.
A show insider tells the Sunday Mirror, “When Sir Alan learns what they’ve been up to he completely blows his top.
“He has never, ever, been as angry as this. The team with the two cheaters tries to bribe and cheat its way to success and that’s just not acceptable. Read more & comment »
Former Apprentice candidate, Lindi Mngaza, has dumped her boyfriend of three years so she can start a relationship with fellow contestant, Michael Sophocles.
Mngaza’s ex-boyfriend Donovan O’Hagan is said to be upset by the callous way he has been treated.
A friend of Donovan told The People: “He’s a gentle giant who wouldn’t hurt a fly. But inside he is furious about what Lindi and Michael have done. They have humiliated him. He had planned to marry her and start a family but all of that has been blown away now. Read more & comment »
Apprentice candidate, Claire Young, has reportedly revealed that some really aggressive arguments and scenes have been cut from the BBC One reality TV show.
Whilst on holiday in Spain, Claire confided in fellow holiday makers that during an argument one of the candidates actually got hit!
“There are all these egos in one room, there was a lot of bad swearing and it got really aggressive,” she explained. “A lot had to be cut out. On one task someone even got hit.”
According to the Sunday Mirror, Claire also admitted that after seeing herself on TV she has become very insecure about her appearance. Read more & comment »
