The Apprentice star Christopher Farrell was in court in Plymouth on Friday to hear his sentence relating to fraud charges.
Mortgage broker Farrell attempted to “dupe” lenders into offering clients money by falsifying applications on their behalf.
He apparently did so in order to boost the commission he earned for each mortgage he sold.
29 year old Farrell was arrested in August last year after a bank official noticed the fraudulent applications, but the court was told that at the time, Farrell tried to blame colleagues for forging the papers.
However, in court, he pleaded guilty to those charges and asked that three further counts be taken into consideration. Read more & comment »
