Pop girl band The Saturdays have claimed that ‘The X Factor’ doesn’t allow groups enough time to “gel and blend”.

According to the Daily Mail, Rochelle Wiseman said: “A lot of those bands are put together just to go on the show.”

“But you need to gel and blend – and that’s not something you can do over a ten-week show.”

“It’s a shame that a lot of people think that to be famous you have to go on ‘The X Factor’.”

The Saturdays will be performing on this weekend’s Dancing On Ice show.

The girlband will perform their latest single ‘Ego’ on ITV’s Sunday night results show.

“Rehearsing for Dancing On Ice,” said Vanessa White on Twitter. “Very cool.”

Vanessa will also be appearing on ITV’s Popstar to Operastar this Friday night.

Susan Boyle has appeared today fresh faced and seemingly all better after her recent stay in The Priory and she is very much still in demand.

Yesterday we heard that she has been offered the chance to sing at Demi Moore’s and Ashton Kutcher’s anniversary party and today she has been offered the chance to join girlband, The Saturdays.

Band member Mollie King told the Daily Record: “Susan is great and would be a welcome addition to The Saturdays.”

She added: “If she wants to join The Saturdays we will have to give her a glam makeover. It won’t quite be fake eyelashes and tons of makeup, but we like good hair, it is very important.

“We also love colour so we’d have to put her in a nice colourful dress. She would fit right in once we have finished with her.”
