The Sun are gearing up to launch their very own online reality show tomorrow morning at movieboy.co.uk.
To mark their six day DVD giveaway the newspaper are putting one film addict in a room for an entire week with a huge stash of DVD’s at his disposal.
His challenge is to see how many hours he can watch DVD’s for. Your challenge is to guess how many hours, minutes and seconds he will watch over the whole week. At the end of the week, the closest guess will win 156 hours worth of DVD’s!
You can watch him live online 24/7 (with a few surprises along the way!). You can chat live with other viewers. You can vote and help decide which films he has to watch or what dinner he gets
tonight. You can see what he’s thinking via his status text box.
Many people would agree that this year’s Big Brother has got off to the best start in years. A decent mix of personalities, with some interesting characters, especially among the older housemates.
The initial twists – a girls only house, no nasty tricks withholding clothes like last year, no obviously unstable personalities, have got the series off to a good start. So why did our #1 Sun decide to run with the Beauties v Beasts headline today?
Now, we’re not blind – we’d be the first to admit that the house is filled with some top quality babes (congrats to this year’s casting team, by the way!). But look at the launch night. Who got the most cheers? It wasn’t the ‘babes’, it was the offbeat characters, the ones who weren’t blatantly in it for the exposure.
We saw this in previous series’ of Big Brother – remember when Kinga went into the house? The public can spot a wannabe a mile off – we’ve had 7 years of experience!
Unreality TV predicts that this year’s Big Brother will be the classic return to form that we’ve been praying for. Well, not praying…we’re not that desperate! But the beginning of this series has all the hallmarks of a great social experiment like the early years, and it promises to be fun too! Making it an all-girl household was a fantastic move, for more than one reason. It’ll be interesting to see what happens when they release males into the house!
We say to The Sun – stop focussing on their looks and let the housemates’ personalities entertain us!
