Annoying jungle duo David Van Day and Timmy Mallett are reportedly taking over the job of co-hosting Get Me Out Of Here Now, the spin off show to I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!

The current presenters, married couple Matt Willis and Emma Griffiths, are expecting their first baby in the summer so they’ve decided against doing the show next November as their baby will still be very young.

That’s turned out to be good news for David and Timmy who expressed their desire to work together while in the jungle.

David told the Daily Star: “I always thought we were the new Ant and Dec.

“But hey, the new Matt and Emma? That’s fine by me.”

Well I have to say, I most definitely won’t be watching – I can’t stand either of them!

The I’m A Celebrity stars were shocked at the end of last night’s programme by Ant and Dec’s announcement that the two with the lowest votes would go head to head in a trial and the winner would win immunity from tonight’s vote off.

It was revealed that Timmy would have to face Brian at the Last Chance Saloon and the majority of the camp were backing the former policeman to win.

Martina, Simon and Nicola were all eager to see Brian’s face reappear at the camp. Nicola said: ‘Timmy is the most annoying man I have ever met so I hope Brian kicks his butt. I really don’t want to heat that whooping noise again.’ Martina added ‘Timmy is more ruthless that Brian, he’s too much of a nice guy. He’s the rock, man.’

David thought differently: ‘If Timmy comes back the faces on some of these people would be fantastic because they are really vindictive. While I know Timmy can be tedious sometimes, he doesn’t mean it, he’s not got a bad bone in his body.’

Walking up to the trial Brian said: ‘If Timmy decides to play unfair tactics then at least I’ll go down as the one who has played the game by the rules and I’d rather do that than cheat.’

Feeling very confident Timmy said: ‘It takes a certain someone to be up against the collar. Well, Mr. Mischief here is going to bring him down a peg or two and send him on his way.’

Ant welcomed them to the first ever Bushtucker Trial of its kind in I’m A Celebrity.

‘The winner of this special trial will get to stay in camp for not just one more night, you will secure your stay for at least 2 more nights – as you will also win exemption from tomorrow’s public vote off. The aim of this trial is to out drink and eat your opponent by being the first to down a selection of drinks and bar snacks from the Last Chance Saloon’s specials menu.

On our signal you must down the contents of each glass, plate or bowl, slamming the empty vessels on the bar and showing us your empty mouths to prove that you’ve finished the serving. The first person to do so will win the round.’

Dec added: ‘This Trial is winner takes all – which means that whoever wins the most rounds will not only get to go back to camp for at least another 2 nights, they will also feed everyone/mouth in camp tonight. And we will have to say goodbye to the losing celebrity. You may of course pass on any of the rounds, but you’ll lose the round if your opponent manages to finish off their measure.

Brian said: ‘This is the trial I didn’t want.’ Timmy had added pressure: ‘I am a vegetarian which profoundly affects this.’

The first round saw them having to down Beetle Juice Cocktails which was a mouth watering blend of cockroaches, meal worms with darkling beetles. Brian finished his drink around the same time as Timmy but was the first to put down his glass and open his mouth up for inspection.

Next came a crunchy snack of several giant leafcutter ants and a couple of Mopani worms served on a plate. The pair struggled with these as they claimed they were so crunchy and chewed and chewed for what seemed ages before Timmy claimed victory while Ant and Dec almost split their sides around laughing. Brian threw up the remaining bugs saying they were dry as crackers.

Round three is a ‘penis colada’, a tasty combination of crocodile and camel penis with a penis wedge. Brian said: ‘If I don’t win this I’ll never live it down.’ Sure enough he won and Timmy is left with a revolting penis moustache.

The fourth of the five rounds is Tesquilla – one beach worm in each glass – the person to eat the whole worm first wins. The pair threw the worms into their mouths, clearly struggling eating the delicacy, Timmy grabbed hold of Brian’s arm firmly and got shaken off just was Brian chewed the live worm down. Commiserations went to Timmy who then had to leave.

Brian showed Ant and Dec a mark on his arm which he said Timmy had made when grabbing hold of him.

On leaving the camp, Timmy said ‘Bother, whoops, shame, I’m disappointed.’

Returning to the camp Brian told the celebrities about Timmy’s behaviour during the trial. ‘Timmy was very unfair, see these marks here in my arm, it’s out of order. The worm was wriggling about in the glass and Timmy was dragging it out when he suddenly grabbed my arm – that was a deliberate attempt to stop me chewing and to stop me swallowing. He has a calculating side to him that I didn’t find pleasant so I’m not going to be crying on my pillow about the fact that Timmy’s gone.’

In the Bush Telegraph David said: ‘Some would call it cheating, I’d call it aggressive tactics. They are making hay of it in the camp.’

Martina added: ‘I’m really disappointed with his behaviour. I’ve never cheated and that sucks.’

I’m a celebrity contestants Timmy Mallett and Brian Paddick are to go head to head tonight in a bid to remain on the ITV1 reality TV show.

The pair came bottom in the latest public vote but, in a surprise twist, were told they would face a bushtucker trial to decide who leaves the jungle.

On being told the news, Mallett commented: “That’s hilarious.”

The trial, toom place last night and the loser has alreayd left the camp, it will be shown on tonight’s show. The trial involved drinking a series of gruesome cocktails.

The plot thickens! Yesterday we told you that Timmy Mallett didn’t actually sing all of his number on hit, ‘Itsy Bitsy teeny Weeny’ and today we find out that musical genius Andrew Lloyd Webber actually produced the track.

Lloyd Webber today broke an 18-year silence and admitted to The Sun that he produced the cheesy song as a BET with his wife Madeleine.

He said: “She bet that me — a ‘pompous’ composer — could never produce a pop hit for the summer. It was a ridiculous idea I had to keep Madeleine quiet.”

I feel let down and betrayed after hearing claims that I’m A Celebrity contestant Timmy Mallett did not actually sing his hit single, ‘Itsy Bisty Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini’.

Teacher Everton Barnes, 45, told The Sun that he sang all the vocals on the track, because Timmy could not sing.

He said: “The producers decided Timmy was the perfect bloke to do the vocals as he was all the rage.

“But when they got him into the studio they realised his voice was as flat as a punctured pancake.

“There was no way that the record company could release it as it was.”

“I sang the whole vocal track and Timmy’s was shunted into the background.

“I didn’t want anybody knowing as it was a bit embarrassing and I still had ambitions in the music business.”

Everton made less than £5,000 in royalties despite the song making it as number one in the charts for three weeks.

He said: “I’ve decided to speak out as I feel it’s a great shame Timmy is going around singing the song when he knows it’s not his voice on it.

“It was even my idea to insert the ‘Oh yeahs’ and now Timmy is going around shouting ‘Oh yeah’ in the jungle as if it was all down to him.”

After winding up the I’m A celebrity jungle camp with his laughter during Robert Kilroy-Silk’s live task, Timmy realised he had to apologise.

Robert replied:  “Oh stop it now.  I’m not a vindictive or vengeful person but Tim, I think you know me I won’t take any crap.  I’m trying to fit in here and be not my normal self.  I’m trying not to be aggressive, arrogant.  I’m trying to work with people but don’t do it any more.

“That’s fine.  I accept that [the apology].  You don’t have to say any more.  But leave it there and no more.”

Timmy said. “I think you’re a hero.  I think you’re a trouper.  A big hero.  I think what you achieved today was sensational Robert.”

Robert replied: “I don’t mind you laughing but you were distracting me.  It’s not me that saw it like that.  Other people saw it too.”

Robert summed up in the Bush Telegraph:  “I’m not going to be moved around or irritated or undermined or whatever.  I don’t need anybody behaving towards me like he is.”

Timmy Mallett’s  behaviour towards Robert Kilroy-Silk during the Live Trial made quite an impression on the camp mates and became the main topic of conversation afterwards. The feeling in Camp was that Robert did a brilliant job winning all 12 stars.  However, they all had something to say about Timmy’s cackling throughout the Trial.

George Takei said to Esther Rantzen: ”I’m impressed with Robert.  It’s a mental thing.  To go from one to another – the ability to switch off.  He’s made of special stuff.”

Esther agreed and said: “The bigger the challenge, he takes on any challenge.”

She pointed out to George that David Van Day was sitting on Robert’s chair.  “Not endearing,” said George.

“I’m afraid not,” said Esther.

George continued. “It was so inappropriate.  Even after he asked him not to do that he kept on.  It’s insane.  He has no sense.  It’s insane, maniacal.”

Dani Behr  and  Martina Navratilova joined in the conversation. “He’s so mentally strong,” said Dani about Robert.

“This is tough.  He’s my hero,” said Martina.

Later Brian Paddick told Martina that Timmy was winking at him. “He’s doing it deliberately.  It’s a wind up.  To create a situation because I gave him a filthy look because he was still giggling.  During the Trial all he could hear was this cackling.  You’re so trying to concentrate and focus on what you’re doing.”

Martina agreed. “Robert was feeling so good about himself and he just brought him down.  F**king bastard.”

Simon Webbe added: “It makes you more determined with the support of the group.  I don’t think Robert was hearing anything.”

Later Joe and George spoke. “I think he’s done so well,” said Joe full of admiration for Robert.  “I’m surprised he didn’t give him [Timmy] one.  He walked up the stairs and he [Timmy] wouldn’t stop laughing.”

George said: “I’m surprised by his mental capacity.”

Brian added: “He’s a w**ker.”

Joe had an explanation. “You know when you’re a kid and someone says don’t do that and instead of stopping you don’t want to lose face so instead of stopping you carry on doing it because it’s a nervous thing.”

George said: “In this environment we’re all interdependent on each other.”

Simon agreed: “We all laughed and cheered him on but that was a different laugh.  A cackle.”

George warned: “He’s [Timmy] going to be in trouble.”

Joe said: “I don’t think he’s got the best people skills.”

Later Simon and Martina talked. Simon said: “Timmy has got a game plan.  I thought he was a legend but he’s gone down in my books.  He’s washed up.  It’s his way of getting out there when he gets out.  He’s a prick.  It’s a big disappointment.  The person you like and grew up on.  I grew up on that guy.”

Martina added: “He [Robert] has a big ego but he’s a good guy.  Robert knows how to separate his job from who he is.  The new guy is an ass.”

She later said: “What p*sses me off it that he’s doing it during the trial which can only hurt Robert.”

Dani said: “There’s laughing out of support then there’s laughing at someone and I think he was almost laughing at Robert because he was happy that Robert was suffering.”

Timmy and Esther talked and Timmy told Esther he thought the Trial was “Fantastic.  Vintage stuff.  He was a hero.  He went steaming in and he got completely trashed in that last one.  You’ve started me off now,” as he started laughing again. “That would be funny whoever that happened to.  If that happened to you Esther.  If it was me I’d be laughing like that.  He was just bristling.  Just lovely.  I gave him a hug and it was so sweet because it made him madder still.  Madder than ever.”

Esther pointed out that Robert thought Timmy was laughing at him.  “I know he did.  But he’s slightly sensitive.  I have an ability to wind him up just by being in the same time zone. I’d don’t know why.  I thought he was going to punch me.  And I’d have fallen over in hysterics.”

Esther said that Brian instinctively got between them. “I didn’t notice.  I was too busy laughing’ said Timmy.  ‘I’m a bit mischievous.  I like mischief.”

Later in the Bush Telegraph Esther said: “[I talked to Timmy] to get him away from the camp in case other people were incensed but his raucous laughter which they were, and to understand why he laughed.  For him, [Robert] getting glooped was the funniest thing he’d ever seen.”

Over lunch Timmy joined the group.  Brian started to talk to him. “You know you upset Robert?”

“Yep,” he replied.

Brian asked if he thought it was part of the game.  Timmy replied: “No. The occasion was very funny.”

“But you knew you upset him and you carried on,” said Brian.

Timmy replied: “Every time I think about it.  It’s very funny.”  Brian told him he should control himself.

He added: “I don’t know if it makes any difference but a couple of the guys, you were their hero when they were growing up and they’re disappointed in you.  Just thought I’d leave you with that thought.”

Timmy later said in the Bush Telegraph: “There are one or two serious folk in here.  And you think no.  The world demands laughter.  Robert seems to be easily rubbed up by me.”

Funny man Timmy Mallett entered the I’m A Celebrity jungle last night and warned that we should expect to see a grumpier side of him this week.

Mallett, who is famous for many 80’s TV shows and his single, ‘Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini’ told The Sun:

“I’m extremely crabby when I’m hungry. The family know it and go, ‘There he goes again, crabby old git.’ There may well be occasions when I get stroppy. There will be quite a few ‘ooh-er’ moments.

“I’m aware I can be rather abrupt. I don’t suffer fools terribly easily. The discomfort of seeing this could be quite great.”

Producers admitted that they chose to put Timmy in the jungle in a bid to wind up the other contestants.

A show source said: “Timmy is going to be a nightmare — they won’t know what’s hit them.

“He’s nowhere near as funny as he thinks he is. His madcap antics might be amusing for five minutes, but imagine living with him. We’re hoping for fireworks.”

Two new celebrities made their way into the I’m A Celebrity jungle today. But their entry was not the joyous occasion they were expecting as ex-Dollar star David Van Day and TV presenter Timmy Mallett were kidnapped on their way into the jungle camp in ‘ManTrap.’

Timmy walked through the jungle and spied a cake on the jungle floor. He bent over to pick it up and was swept up into the trees in a giant net. Screaming and shouting, Timmy was caught in the net and left unable to escape.

Soon he heard someone walking through the jungle. “Who’s there?” he called. “You’ve got to help me. I feel like the child catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.”

“I’ve seen everything now,” said David Van Day as he walked into the area. “You look good. How did you get up there?”

But as he shouted smugly, a second net closed in and swooshed him up off the jungle floor and into the trees to join Timmy. “I’ll get you Mallet, you pr*t,” he shouted, clearly riled.

David added: “I came in thinking this was going to be easy. Listen, I wouldn’t have left you there.”

Cages were then constructed on the jungle floor below the two captives and they were lowered into them to await their fate. “That looks nice. You’re going to go into a cage,” shouted Timmy to David. “Oh, that’ll be my cage.”

“I suppose they think this is funny,” moaned David.

“We’re in here for a long time,” said Timmy.

Martina was called to the Bush Telegraph and given instructions which she read to the camp. “There are two new campmates being held captive in the jungle. They will be in prison until morning. You have the ability to ease their situation but only if certain demands are met. Await further instruction.” Accompanying the instructions were Polaroid photographs of Timmy and David.

Later, Martina received further instructions. “To make your captive campmates first night in the jungle you must pay a ransom. Give up one luxury item each and that means all of us and they will be given food tonight. Or they will go hungry.”

Later, the Celebrities were given a second choice. “Give up two stars and we will release one right now. If you chose the ransom you must decide which celebrity you want.”

Will the ten celebrities decide to rescue the captives? Or leave them to their jungle hell?
