Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan has become the latest star to hit out at reality TV shows.
The 30 year old singer blasted Simon Cowell’s The X Factor in particular, saying that the series has nothing to do with singing or talent and all to do with making interesting TV.
Speaking while promoting his band’s new album Velociraptor!, Tom ranted that the show was “not in my world”.
Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan has become the latest in a long line of music professionals to hit out at ITV’s X Factor.
In a revealing interview with The Daily Record, the ‘Where Did All The Love Go?’ singer said:
” The X Factor is like something The Riddler would do in Batman . It sucks out everyone’s brains,” he told the Daily Record . “I can’t believe how appallingly low we have gone as a nation for people to watch that pile of shit. It’s appalling music. It’s shocking.”
Kasabian’s Tom Meighan has blasted Simon Cowell for “destroying people’s lives” with shows such as The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent.
The singer branded The X Factor “retarded” and “wrong” for promising people a viable music career.
Tom told The Mirror: “I don’t watch any of it, the design on X Factor – it’s retarded – it’s very backwards.”
