Trevor Hodgson, the 16 year old who made it right through last years X Factor bootcamp, and just narrowly missed being part of the final 12, makes a comeback to our screens tonight in the X Factor auditions.

Viewers of ITV2′s Xtra Factor will tonight see Simon brand Trevor, 18, “a bitter 17-year-old” because he has “picked up bad singing habits”. But Louis and Sharon overrule him, insisting: “He needs another chance.”

I hope wee Trevor does well, he was such a cutie last year!

Remember Trevor Hodgson? He was the kind of geeky bespectacled 16 year old that made it to Louis Walsh’s final seven acts in the X Factor competition, then got dropped by Louis just before the live finals began.

Well it seems that we will be seeing Trevor again!

Trevor said: “Louis texted me to say that he wants me to audition for the X-Factor in April.

“I was a bit unsure as to whether to do it at first after missing out on the finals last year.

“But I have sent off my application form, so it looks like I will be auditioning now.

“Following the show people I’ve met have said that if I gave it another go, they would be rooting for me all the way.

“It is great that people still remember me.”

A career on the big screen could also beckon after he was headhunted for a film by award-winning crime writer Teddy Hayes.

Trevor said: “Teddy Hayes is writing a film and, after seeing me on the X-Factor, there is a part he thought I would be perfect for.

“I am due to take a screen test for the part.

“But if I do the film it would clash with the X-Factor. So at the moment I am keeping my options open.”
