Vanessa Feltz has admitted that she would like to see former Big Brother winner Josie Gibson, fronting a new series of the reality TV show.

The portly TV presenter has just launched her own chat show on Five, a channel which is said to be close to agreeing a deal with Endemol to air BB this summer.

When asked if she would like to step into Davina McCall’s shoes and present the TV comeback of the year, the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant told Now:

‘Obviously, I would be delighted.’

‘But I would be amazed if they chose someone like me.’

‘I would think they would want someone like Josie Gibson, she would be brilliant,’ Vanessa added.

‘She’s superb.

‘She could be the next Alison Hammond.’

Josie previously starred in a fly on the wall documentary for Five and has a new show planned, with her boyfriend and fellow BB star John James Parton. It will launch this spring.

We were yawning our way through the highly predictable question and answer session, when suddenly Davina leapt out of her seat and reached past Feltz. It was like a scene out of the Bodyguard movie!

In the background we could see a young man (well it looked like a man) dressed in red, jumping the security barrier before being pushed to the ground by two burly guards.

Davina sat back down and breathlessly exclaimed:

I thought he’d fallen off but actually, round of applause, this man was making a break to give you a hug. You have a crazed fan

Vanessa tried to bring the topic of conversation back to herself and started to wax lyrical about her lack of a game-plan or agenda, but McCall just couldn’t keep her mind on the job.

She laughed:

‘Everything’s fine. He’s been taken out. Well not like literally taken out, he’s still alive and I just wanted to let you know that!’

We’re just sad that the enthusiastic individual didn’t make it onto the stage….we think Vanessa could have knocked him out with one big belly bounce!

Vanessa Feltz has become the fifth person to be evicted from Ultimate Big Brother, with 31.3% of the vote.

After only five nights in the BB house, Feltz followed Michelle Bass in this evening’s double eviction.

Most famous for her Celebrity Big Brother meltdown, Vanessa held it together pretty well since she returned as Victor’s bride last week and the newly gastric banded star emerged to a supportive and cheering crowd tonight.

Vanessa will be remembered for her late entrance dressed as a bride, hosting the Feltz Show questioning Preston and Chantelle directly about their relationship and reducing Chantelle to tears, having heart to hearts with Nikki, leading the Housemates in the street dance troupe Flawed.

The rest of the Ultimate Housemates have made it to the final of Ultimate Big Brother and the winner will be announced in the last ever Big Brother programme, this Friday on Channel 4 from 7.30pm.

On tonight’s Big Brother show…..

10.45am

Brain, Chantelle and Ulrika are in the bedroom. Ulrika talks about her eyebrows and says that they are on their own secret task. Chantelle asks them if they think they are going to nominate today. Brain suspects it will be a vote to evict until Wednesday and then a vote to win after that.

The other housemates are in the kitchen talking about the MP expenses scandal. Victor says that MPs have grown up with a sense of entitlement and that he thought that you claimed expenses for things like travelling to work not buying food for the house. Vanessa asks Nikki if she is involved in such issues. Nikki says that she is a little bit and that she doesn’t like paying any taxes. Vanessa says that you have to pay taxes to earn and save money and even when you die.

11.05am

Brain and Ulrika are in the bedroom. Big Brother reveals that housemates will be nominating shortly and that Vanessa is eligible to nominate and be nominated. Brain and Ulrika say “shit”. Ulrika says “that really f***s me up now”. Chantelle walks in and asks them if her boobs look small today.

Nikki and Vanessa are in the Living room. Nikki says that is not fair for them to have to nominate because it should be up to the public “It’s Ultimate it should be up to the public!”

Victor says he might just do “eeny meany miney mo” to pick his nominations. “I dunno what I’m doing, for the first time ever.”

11.36am

Today Housemates will nominate for the final time – Brian is first to nominate.

BB informs Brain that he will have to nominate by spinning the roulette wheel.

Vanessa asks the housemates if they would take their partner back if they cheated. Chantelle says “no although I have done it in the past, never again”. Ulrika says that she was taken back.

Vanessa says that she doesn’t agree that people are only unfaithful if there’s problems in a relationship; “you can have a great relationship and still be unfaithful.” Victor says that humans are the only animals that stick to one partner. Housemates talk about monogamous animals. “It’s a lot to ask to be tied to each other for the rest of your life,” Victor adds.

4.14pm

Ulrika, Vanessa, Nikki and Brian are in the living room . . .Nikki sleeps on Vanessa’s shoulder.

Brain asks Vanessa if she would ever go under the knife for cosmetic surgery, Vanessa says that she has had a gastric band fitted but that “I don’t want more ops I could do without.” Brain says that he would love a face peel. Vanessa says “I’m full of botox, I have it twice a year. I find it the most magnificent treatment….I still maintain that when my husband left me I woke up with these deep wrinkles in my face that weren’t there before.”

Ulrika and Vanessa talk about having fillers. Vanessa says that she is scared of them. Ulrika says that she had them once almost 5 years ago but that she doesn’t need them now.

5.29pm

Housemates are preparing for today’s task, the ‘Feltz show’. Michelle is the runner, Victor is the executive producer and Brain is the floor manager. Vanessa is making a list of demands. She says that she needs lily of the valley scented candles otherwise she just can’t carry on. Brain tries to get her into the bedroom and says “I was starting to panic for a second”. Ulrika pretends to be a fan of Vanessa’s hunting for autographs “honestly these fans drive me crazy” says Vanessa as she plays along.

6.35pm

All the housemates are in the Feltz studio.

Brain welcomes the audience and asks them to all switch their phones off and keep their emotions calm and not to look directly at the camera. He gets them to chant ‘Vanessa’. The title sequence is cued and the audience chant ‘Go Vanessa’. Vanessa welcomes everyone to the show.

She introduces her first guest, Nikki to the show. The segment is called “I’m a grown woman why can’t I stop throwing tantrums?”. Vanessa interviews her about being particular about where she sleeps. Nikki says that there is a bad aura in some areas of the room. Vanessa then asks Nikki if she thinks tantrums are only thrown by 2 years olds. Nikki says “absolutely but everyone gets built up anger and needs to release it somehow and then you feel better”. Ulrika from the audience asks her to show her angry faces. Nikki does an impression of herself saying “who is she? who is she?”

Vanessa’s second interview is with Nick. Vanessa asks him if he is an “evil repugnant character” or if he’s really nice. Nick responds that he prefers bad guy, but he is a nice guy. Nick does an artificial lie detector test and Vanessa puts some statements to him to see if he is telling the truth or lying. At the end, Vanessa says that the test has proven that Nick does not have a decent bone in his body.

The third segment is titled “We found love on a reality TV show” Vanessa interviews Chantelle and Preston. They say that their feelings for each other didn’t hit them until they had left the house. Vanessa asks them about the divorce and Chantelle starts to cry. Vanessa cuts to an ad break and builds this into the show.

Vanessa’s final guest is Ulrika, who she interviews about the ‘price of fame’. Ulrika says you have to be prepared to walk up the high street and have everyone know about your private life. Vanessa jokes that she is being nice because “I don’t want you to start crying like the last F****** guest”. Vanessa asks Ulrika about releasing her next book and what type of novelist she is. Ulrika replies “I am more the Joanna trollop novelist”.

The show ends and the end credits roll.

7.10pm

Ulrika tells the other housemates that she wants to go into the bedroom but she won’t because of Chantelle and Preston talking after Chantelle got upset.

In the bedroom, Preston asks Chantelle if she is alright and says “I thought that we had made lots of headway”.

Back in the kitchen. Vanessa apologises to Chantelle if she made her cry. Chantelle says that she didn’t make her cry and she doesn’t want her to feel bad, it’s just that she feels emotional.

In the bedroom, Ulrika tells the other housemates that Preston and Chantelle took a big gamble coming into the house.

Back in the kitchen, Nikki asks Chantelle and Preston if they are both upset. Preston says that “it’s stressful because the marriage was so public therefore the divorce is bound to be public too”. Nikki says that she couldn’t have come in here with Pete.

In the bedroom, housemates are still talking about Chantelle and Preston. Ulrika says that he is upset because she is upset. Brain tells Vanessa that she did nothing “I feel like we’re having an actual post-show meeting.”

7.54pm

Brian and Chantelle are in the bathroom.

Chantelle says “I am still upset about it….I was trying not to cry you know when you bite your lip? It’s still so raw I didn’t realise how much he (Preston) was still affected by it too.”

Chantelle and Preston are in the bedroom. Preston asks her how she is feeling. Chantelle says that she knew she was going to cry and Preston says “I know you well enough to know what was going to happen.” They discuss the questions Vanessa asked them. Chantelle says “I know it was a pretend interview but it’s still our life. I’m not ready to start making jokes about it.”

9.44pm

To celebrate the success of the Feltz Show, housemates have been provided with cocktails, canapés and music.

Big Brother tells housemates to gather at the sofa and asks one housemate to collect cocktails from the store room. Housemates have to eat the olive from their martini cocktails to reveal whether they are up for nomination or not.

Vanessa, Nick and Michelle face the public vote.

10.10pm

Preston and Michelle are by the Carousel. Preston tells her he has only got 1 cigarette left for the whole week. Michelle asks him what he is going to do, and he replies that the whole week might only be 2 days.

Vanessa and Victor are in the living room discussing being up fro eviction. Vanessa says that it has been good to come back into the BB house and have another go and not struggle like she did before. She tells him that she has watched it every year and is a huge fan of the show. Victor tells her that she has been nominated because she came in on Friday.

11.48pm

Michelle, Nick and Victor are in the garden. Michelle asks them if they are shocked that she is up for eviction. They both say that they are shocked and that they both thought that each of them would be nominated. “It makes me feel unliked being up,” says Michelle.

Michelle speculates that Chantelle and Vanessa nominated her. Victor says that he think Vanessa nominated her. Victor advises her not to get into any arguments over the next few days “no bitching session.”

For today’s task, Housemates will attend and produce the first ever recording of TV’s brand new daytime talk show format – “FELTZ”. Hosted by Vanessa Feltz and produced by Victor Ebuwa, the crew will be made up of the following Housemates:

o Brian will become the floor manager.

o Michelle will become the show runner.

The remaining Housemates will become audience members. As the show runner, Michelle should look after the crew and audience members’ every demand, and as such Michelle is the only Housemate permitted to prepare any food and drink in the Kitchen.

Vanessa, Victor and Brian will plan today’s recording at a production meeting.

If Housemates fulfil their duties and produce a watchable TV show then all Housemates will be invited to an after show party of nibbles and cocktails this evening.

On tonight’s Big Brother show……

9:53am

All of the housemates are in the Bedroom. They are woken up by ‘It’s oh so quiet’ by Bjork. All the housemates dance and sing along.

Brian tells Chantelle about the dream he had last night about Girls Aloud. He stops talking when he notices a chalk board table in the Living Room. Chantelle points out that this must be for Vanessa.

In the Kitchen Preston and Brian discuss Vanessa entering the house. “She looks exactly the same when she gets up as she did last night”, says Brian. “It’s because she doesn’t wash”, jokes Ulrika.

10:30am

All the housemates are in the Kitchen discussing the blackboard incident on the previous series of Big Brother. Vanessa is talking about when she entered Big Brother the last time. “Three momentous, hellish nights and four ghastly days”, she says.

10:49am

Michelle and Preston are in the Garden talking about the eviction of Nadia and Makosi. “It’s sad hearing your friends get booed”, says Preston. Michelle agrees. “It’s all a charade”, he adds.

Ulrika is cleaning the Bedroom toilet whilst talking to some of the other housemates about who leaves the toilet seat up. Vanessa is cleaning the other Bathroom at the same time. “Are you two have a clean off”, says Brian. Ulrika tells Vanessa she is the poshest cleaner.

Michelle is in the Diary Room talking to Big Brother about last night’s events. “I’m a little bit lonely”, she says adding that it was a bit of a shock. “For Nadia to leave…I really didn’t expect that”.

12:02pm

Vanessa is in the Diary Room discussing the shopping list. She has been provided with the list and a piece of chalk. “How does it feel to be in charge of chalk again?” asks Big Brother. “It’s empowering”, she says before asking if Big Brother can really trust her with some chalk. “We’ll be keeping an eye on you, Vanessa”, says Big Brother.

Vanessa and Ulrika start to write up the shopping list with Preston and Nikki standing by. “The apples, can they be Gala?” asks Nikki. Ulrika tells her that they don’t get a choice on brand and Nikki walks off to the Bedroom.

Once the shopping list is complete Vanessa uses the remaining time to write ords such as ‘optimistic’ and ‘positive’ on the board.

2:34pm

Housemates are in the Living Room discussing Vanessa’s gastric band. “Do they half your stomach”, asks Vanessa. Vanessa uses a plastic bottle and elastic band to explain the process. “I think you look amazing”, says Nikki.

2:46pm

Housemates are gathered at the sofa’s for today’s task – Enjoy the Silence. Each housemate will have to endure a separate task and make sure they stay completely silent through the whole thing. Each housemate who passed their challenge will get the chance to go to a very loud party later in the day..

In the task room the housemates are called one by one to face their challenges. All challenges are being set by Big Brother 9′s Rex. He is in the task room dressed as a devil. Brian is asked to find a needle in a nettle stack, Michelle has to be tickled for three minutes by Big Brother 4′s Jon Tickle, Nikki has to transfer dead fish into a bowl of ice, Ulrika has to eat wasabi and lard ice cream, Vanessa and Chantelle must play catch with a cactus, Preston has to face three minutes of wrestling holds, Nick has to crawl along a line of hairbrushes and Victor has to be fired at with a range of nasty substances followed by a cream pie. Housemates manage to remain silent passing the task.

5:32pm

Some of the housemates are in the Bedroom. Victor is snoring and Michelle watches him.

Vanessa and Brian are in the Living Room discussing being engaged. “I can’t wait to be engaged”, says Brian adding that he has been single after a bad break up a few years ago. “What are you looking for in a man?” asks Vanessa. “Someone who will look out for my best interests and will look after me, no matter what”, says Brian. “We all want that”, says Vanessa.

8:21pm

Housemates are getting ready in the Bedroom for their rock party. Chantelle is applying makeup on Preston. “Remember when we used to do this at home?” asks Chantelle. The rest of the housemates laugh.

Ulrika is in the Diary Room talking to Big Brother about Vanessa. “She’s chatty and prepared to get stuck in and involved”, she says.

9:36pm

Some of the housemates are in the Living Room. Nikki offers to swap beds with Vanessa. “Because I’m half your size”, she says before realising that what she meant was that she has the double bed and is the smallest in the house.

10:08pm

The housemates are dancing around in the Living Room. Big Brother announces that the shopping has been delivered and they all go to the store room. The housemates realise that items such as sweets and fizzy drinks are missing.

In the Bedroom Preston tells Chantelle that Ulrika and Vanessa must have overspent on the shopping for things to be missing. “I’m scared”, says Chantelle commenting that she doesn’t want to be the one to tell Nick he has no fizzy drinks.

11:21pm

Some of the housemates are in the Bedroom. “I get a bad aura from that bed”, says Nikki. She decides she wants to swap with Vanessa. “But Vanessa has put clean sheets on her bed”, says Michelle. Nikki goes to talk to Vanessa. “It’s just not good for me”, says Nikki of her own bed. Vanessa comments that she wouldn’t want to sleep next to Ulrika. Nikki pushes the swap and says she wants to be high up so that she can see everyone. Ulrika says she should stay where she is.

Vanessa Feltz’s fiancée has revealed that he thinks his partner can avoid a breakdown during her return to Big Brother.

The TV presenter famously suffered a meltdown on Celebrity BB one, which saw her ranting and furiously scrawling strange messages all over the kitchen table. Many had speculated that Vanessa may not be able to cope after she re-entered the house last night. However her partner Ben Ofoedu says that she was going through a difficult time in her life in 2001 and insists that Feltz is a much stronger person now.

He told The Express:

“Last time she was on the show she had a very public breakdown and there is always that fear it could happen again.

“She doesn’t like to be away from friends and family and I hope we don’t see a repeat of nine years ago but she is a much stronger person now. Back in 2001, she had gone through a rather unpleasant divorce, her mother had just died and her career wasn’t in the tip-top shape it’s in now.

“Vanessa was initially against the idea of going back to the Big Brother house because of the stress she went through the last time.

“The more we discussed it, however, the more she started to think this was the perfect opportunity to conquer her Big Brother demons.”

This evening will see the final of the Big Brother retrospective task where housemates will be recreating the ceremony and party from the Big Brother 5 wedding task.

Just like the first time, Big Brother has assigned Victor to be the groom. The bride will be assigned after tonight’s eviction.

Michelle will once again perform Pie Jesu.

All other Housemates will make up the wedding throng.

At approx 10.30 Michelle will leave the House to perform Pei Jesu outside live to the crowd. While she is outside, the House will be asked to form a line at the foot of the stairs and wait for the wedding ceremony to begin. The Bride is our new Housemate, Vanessa Feltz. Vanessa will enter the House hidden under a veil. She will meet Victor at the bottom of the stairs and Big Brother will inform Victor that he can now kiss his bride. The new Housemate will then be led into the Living Room for the first dance.

Vanessa Feltz is reportedly planning to re-enter the Big Brother house tonight, despite the fact that she suffered a breakdown when she first appeared on the reality TV show.

The 48 year old TV presenter starred in the first Celebrity Big Brother series in 2001 and being imprisoned for a few weeks led to her suffering a bit of a meltdown and scrawling nonsense on the dining table.

However, it has been reported that Feltz now intends to return for the Ultimate Big Brother contest, which will see former BB stars competing for the title of ‘Ultimate Housemate.’

A show source told The Sun: “We want the final couple of weeks to be memorable TV and also a celebration of some of the show’s biggest characters.

“You don’t get more memorable than Vanessa Feltz – her on-screen meltdown was TV gold.”

After being evicted in 2001, Vanessa told Channel 4′s Big Breakfast that she “hardly survived the experience” and added:

“I think reality TV programmes do a lot of damage.

“Nothing prepares you for scrutiny and incarceration and worrying what people might think of you and trying to survive all at once.

“Believe me it was extremely intense and a most unnerving thing.”
