Former X Factor runner up Andy Abraham has spoken of the ‘uphill struggle’ he faced after finishing second in the show’s 2005 series.
Abraham was dropped by his record label after releasing his second album and though he is still working in the industry, he admits it was hard to succeed once the X Factor fever passed.
Abraham issued a warning to other losers saying: “They’ll realise quickly that the industry doesn’t want them.

Remember Brenda Edwards from two X Factors ago? Well, I got an email from her son Jamal earlier today saying she’s been nominated for Best Reality Star in Screen Nation’s Film & TV Awards.
Brenda was one of our favourite contestants in the 2005 X Factor, and we were glad to see she went on to bigger things. That’s why we’d encourage everyone to go on and give Brenda a bit of support.
Anyone interested in what Brenda’s doing at the moment should check out her website.

I have to admit to having a bit of a crush on Maria Lawson from last year’s X-Factor, and I’ve been waiting for her to release a single since she was cruelly booted out by Louis Walsh.
I caught Maria’s new single Sleepwalking on The Box(I think?) a couple of weeks ago. It’s quite a slick tune, bit of a smooth urban vibe, and the video reminds me of Craig David’s Seven Days with Maria witnessing a series of mishaps then reliving them and helping to prevent them.
You can catch a snippet of the video on the Maria Lawson website, and according to the blurb Sleepwalking is coming out on 14 August.
By the way, I wasn’t impressed with the gallery. They’ve airbrushed Maria to hell and it’s not nice, takes away from her natural beauty. Grrr!
