We know most boy bands always claim to be the best of friends, who know everything there is to know about each other, but how often is that actually true?
Well this week, X Factor finalists, JLS, are put to the test when they face a quick fire round of questions from their Bebo fans. If you want to find out just how many girls the boys have dated, the first gigs they went to and which one of the lads might be tying the knot soon, tune into B-box on Bebo.
JLS have admitted that they look upon singer Lemar as their big brother and said that he offered them career advice during his recent UK tour.
“He really gave us a lot of guidance, a lot of wisdom and showed us the ropes a little bit,” Ortise told PA.
“He was fantastic and he was a big inspiration to us and he’s done so incredibly well in his career. Lemar was like a big brother to us on his tour, you know.”
X factor stars JLS, have admitted that they got really excited at the Capital Summertime Ball when they spotted fans in the crowd wearing their hoodies.
Before playing, Oritse told MSN:”We can’t wait, actually I was in the dressing room and I was saying to the boys ‘look I just want to get out there now’ – we kind of went out and we took a sneak peek and like, all the fans were just going crazy and it’s just a beautiful atmosphere out there.”
X Factor winner Alexandra Burke has reportedly asked her sister to join her in LA whilst she records her debut album.
The X Factor winner is said to be loving working with producers like Timbaland, Red One and Jay-Z but is finding it hard to settle without her friends and family around her. Her sister Shaniece is to join her in Los Angeles to help combat her loneliness.
“Alexandra is really enjoying putting her album together but doesn’t know many people in Los Angeles,” a source told The Sun.
“She’s finding the experience a little isolating so was relieved Sheniece agreed to travel over for a visit.”
X Factor runners up JLS have claimed that their fans will be “pleasantly suprised” by their debut single.
The band weren’t offered a record deal with Simon Cowell and instead signed a recording contract with Epic in January. Their decision may have been a good one as ‘Beat Again’ is as far from a Cowell track as it could be.
“It’s not what people might expect to hear – we hope that they will be pleasantly surprised,” they told the Daily Star. Have a listen and leave your views below.
Now that’s what I’m talking about! X Factor runners up, JLS are releasing their first single and it’s easy to see that it’s not a Cowell owned company that’s picking their tracks.
The song, ‘Beat Again’ is urban and contemporary with hints of American hip-hop/R&B. Compare and contrast with our Eoghan’s recent flop! Listen up Louis Walsh!
Same Difference have admitted that they believe being dropped from their record label may have been a blessing in disguise, thought they think Cowell’s company gave up on them too quickly.
The sibling duo were signed by Cowell’s record label soon after X Factor ended last year, but axed in April after their debut album failed to set the charts on fire.
Speaking about the decision in an interview with The News, Sean Smith admitted: “We still think there were four or five more great songs on the album that could have been singles and helped to sell a lot more copies of the album, but that’s the music industry.”
ITV’s X Factor has scooped the BAFTA for best entertainment programme of 2008.
The show was up against Channel 4’s Friday Night Project, ITV’s Harry Hill’s TV Burp and QI. Not much competition really.
Dermot O’Leary showed up to accept the award with a number of show producers, directors or big wigs but there wasn’t a judge in sight. That says exactly what Cowell thinks of the BAFTAs doesn’t it?
Another BGT another fix scandal! This time dance troupe Flawless are embroiled in the controversy, as reports suggest that they were well known to Simon Cowell before they auditioned on Britain’s Got Talent this year.
The Sun has reported that the boys appeared regularly on last years series of X Factor as back up dancers.
A source said: “People think Flawless are just some boys from North London — they’re not, they’re proper professionals.”
Whether you know it or not, Eoghan Quigg was the most popular X Factor contestant of the 2008 series. The producers confirmed that Eoghan received the most phone votes in 6 of the live shows of the series.
Well, we recently had the chance to chat to Eoghan and find out what’s been happening since the rollercoaster of the X Factor ended in December.
Eoghan Quigg has revealed that he is “not sad” that the X Factor tour is finished and hopes he will now have some more time to work on his song writing skills.
The teenager told The Daily Star: “I’m not sad it’s finished.
“I write songs whenever I’m bored but the show didn’t inspire me to write anything.”
Simon Cowell has told The Sun that he bonded immediately with Cheryl Cole when she joined the X factor panel last year, but he added that Dannii Minogue also commands a lot of his respect.
When talking about Cheryl Simon told The Sun: “We instantly became friends — we really, really got on well.
“Cheryl likes hanging out with me in the dressing rooms.”
Simon Cowell has insisted that last years X Factor winner had the potential to be as big a star as previous winner Leona Lewis.
“When you have someone with a life story like that and you get to know them and they’re talented, you hope they do well – no one else was giving her a chance,” he told The Sun.
