X Factor: Matt Cardle ‘it was hard to imagine winning!’

Matt Cardle has admitted that he found it hard to imagine ever achieving his dream of fame. The 27 year old Essex singer won The X Factor on Sunday night but admitted that when he auditioned for the show, he never thought that he could win. Matt told Adrian and Christine on Daybreak:

X Factor: Matt Cardle won’t be ‘steamrolled’

X Factor winner Matt Cardle has insisted that he wants to retain some integrity and control over his career, now that he is signed to Simon Cowell’s SYCO record label. The 27 year old singer landed the £1 million recording contract, after triumphing on Sunday night’s final, but he insists that he won’t be a puppet like many winners before him and wants to have some creative control of his work. Matt told The Daily Star:

X Factor: Matt Cardle will be sensible with winnings

Proving that sometimes it’s better to be a bit older when you first hit the big time, Matt Cardle has vowed that he will be “sensible” with his ‘X Factor’ winnings. The 27-year-old singer won the show on Sunday night and secured a £1 million recording contract. He subsequently admitted he won’t be blowing his new-found fortune on “flash cars”. He explained: “It depends how much I get! I want to treat myself and my family first, but then I wa

X Factor: Matt Cardle asks people not to ‘hate on’ his winner’s single ‘When We Collide’

Matt Cardle has asked people not to write off his debut single, just because it came from an X Factor winner. The 27 year old Essex lad released his cover of Biffy Clyro’s ‘When We Collide’ after winning the ITV show last night and is hoping that it can make the Christmas number one spot. However after last year’s Rage Against The Machine campaign stopped 2009 winner Joe McElderry from claiming the festive honour, Matt is worried that people will try to make an example of

X Factor’s Cher Lloyd: ‘I’m one of the luckiest girls in the world right now’

Cher Lloyd has confessed that she will be working her “hardest” to make it in the music industry. The 17-year-old rapper – who finished fourth in this year’s ‘X Factor’ – is determined to become a star, and has vowed to do everything in her power to make it happen. She said: “Lots of people have said things in the past few weeks – people in the UK and the US. But I’ll be doing my hardest to work with the people I want to if I can and ju

X Factor: Simon Cowell forces Take That to change performance at last minute!

When Take That showed up on last night’s X Factor final and sang The Flood….again…we were a little baffled. The newly reunited man band had performed the track on a results show just a few weeks before and we had expected that if they were to make a return, especially on the last show of the series, they would have a new song to showcase for us. It has been reported today however that the boys did plan to perform the upcoming single ‘Kidz’ from their album ‘Pr

X factor: Matt Cardle praises ‘amazing’ Rebecca Ferguson and ‘hard working’ One Direction!

Matt Cardle has admitted that he is thrilled to have won last night’s X Factor but praised his two fellow finalists Rebecca Ferguson and One Direction. The former painter and decorator landed the £1 million recording contract at the conclusion of the series yesterday, after ten weeks of competing against other talented singers……and Wagner. Speaking about the two runners up on Daybreak today, Matt told Christine Bleakley:

X Factor: Cher Lloyd ‘I know I’m like marmite’

Cher Lloyd has admitted that she expected to be the first contestant eliminated from The X Factor at the weekend, because she knows people love to hate her. The 17 year old singer made it as far as Saturday’s penultimate show, but was sent home after she attracted 3% less votes than One Direction. Speaking to The Sun about her elimination, Cher said that people have mis-interpreted her along the way and insisted that she’s not as hard as she seems. She explained:

X Factor 2010: Matt Cardle performs winners single ‘Many Of Horror / When We Collide’ (VIDEO)

On tonight’s X Factor final, Matt Cardle performed his winner’s single for the first time. The 27 year old singer previously recorded his version of Biffy Clyro’s ‘Many Of Horror,’ along with an official music video. The song was first released by the Scottish band earlier this year and we think it is just edgy enough to work for Cardle. If he wins tonight’s show, the song will go on to become Matt’s debut single and if all goes to plan, maybe even his first Chr

X Factor Final: One Direction sing their audition song ‘Torn’ (VIDEO)

One Direction took to the X Factor stage tonight and performed the song that won them a place in the show earlier this year. Natalie Imbruglia’s Torn was the first track performed by the boyband at Simon Cowell’s judges houses stage and at the time the music mogul said: “They’re cool, they’re relevant. I think it was a little bit timid. I could tell that they were nervous. This is going to be a hard decision.”
