Gary Barlow has decided to return to the X Factor for a third series, it has been reported this morning.
Insiders say the Take That star met with show boss Simon Cowell when he was in London attending The Brit Awards last week and the pair apparently settled some differences that had been causing problems between them.
James Arthur has been confirmed as one of the acts performing at this year’s V Festival and we think it’s fair to say that his fans are pretty chuffed about the idea.
The X Factor Facebook account revealed the news yesterday, posting on their wall an announcement which read:

Christopher Maloney has revealed that he thinks the X Factor judges picked on him during the most recent series of the show, because they saw him as a huge threat to their own acts.
The Liverpudlian star was branded a ‘diva’ by Louis Walsh, while Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa agreed and as a result he suffered a lot of negative press attention throughout the competition. The Liverpudlian finished third on The X Factor last year and even though his time on the show was marred with controversy, it seems that there are record labels out there willing to work with the former cruise ship singer.
James Arthur won the series and automatically landed himself a recording contract with Simon Cowell’s SYCO. It was later confirmed that Jahmene Douglas, Union J and Ella Henderson had also been signed to various Sony labels.
