X Factor USA judge Britney Spears has been accused of sabotaging one of her own acts on the TV talent show.

Contestant Arin Ray’s godmother Sedatrius Davis took to Twitter to express her anger at the song choice for the singer during the Thanksgiving special of the show this week.

Arin sung Enrique Iglesias’s track Hero which he dedicated to his brother for taking care of him when his parents separated.

However, Sedatrius was left furious after the performance, insisting her godson could have done better if Britney had chosen a different song.

One Direction singer Niall Horan – who has recently denied that he’s dating drama student Amy Green – has revealed that “nothing ever really happened” between himself and X Factor USA judge, Demi Lovato.

While revealing that they did go on a few dates, but didn’t kiss, he told Now magazine, “What actually happened was that I always used to say in my interviews that I liked her and she also said she liked me…

“We got in contact through Twitter and we just started chatting and became friends.

As fans of X Factor USA judge Britney Spears may know, her former manager Sam Lufti is suing the star, and in court submitted documents, Lufti claims that at one time, sniffer dogs found traces of crystal meth at the singer’s home.

TMZ reports that he claims that a “drug-sniffing dog found a cache of crystal meth in her home.”

He apparently adds, “Britney should further testify” about how come drug dogs allegedly found “hot spots” of drug residue in the carpet of Britney’s home, where her young sons, who were then aged 1 and 3, played during visits.

Lufti goes on to claim that he shampooed the particular area of the carpet and later replaced the flooring.

In other documents, Lufti alleges that Spears told him that her father Jamie was an “abusive alcoholic and a violent racist.” Read more & comment »

It’s a rare day that X Factor guru Simon Cowell lets anyone get away with making him look a tad daft, however, during recent X Factor USA auditions, he did just that by allowing judge Britney Spears to place a tiara on his head!

And according to the Daily Mail, he kept in on during auditions in Providence, Rhode Island.

The paper adds, “Fun-loving Britney and her manager Larry took this as an opportunity to have a bit of fun and they told Wade she ‘really needed a straw hat’.”

No clue who Wade is, but whoever he is, he went off and found a straw hat apparently. However, Wade then asked Britney if she needed anything else, to which she replied, “Yes, a tiara.”

Cue Wade’s search for a tiara, and when he found one and presented it to Ms Spears, she then told Simon he’d look “cute” wearing it… Read more & comment »

It’s a complaint that visitors to Strangeways and Holloway probably hear every day, but in prison, life is tough and made tougher by the fact that there are certain hair products that inmates just aren’t allowed. I would guess it’s an issue that Amnesty International are, as we speak, trying to rectify…

And X Factor USA judge Demi Lovato knows how hard these deprivations can be on a person given that she’s told US TV presenter Katie Couric that when she was in rehab, she suffered because of the strict rules and regulations.

Demi, who went into rehab in Chicago in 2010 because she was suffering from bulimia and self harm issues, said, “Treatment was so difficult at first, I remember walking around saying ‘I’m in prison!’

Despite the rivalry between The X Factor and The Voice UK,  coach Will.i.am has – as we reported last week – been assisting X Factor USA judge Britney Spears to choose which acts she’ll take forward to the show’s live rounds…

And it seems that while he was in the States with Britney, he asked her if she would duet with former judge Cheryl Cole on a track he’s written for that purpose.

A show insider told TV Biz, “There were rumours earlier this summer that the pair were going to duet…

“But it wasn’t until this week that Britney and Will had the discussion.

“He’s been trying to get them together since before he came on board as Cheryl’s manager.

“He told Britney he was writing a great new track and wanted his ‘two favourite girls’ to record it together at his home studio.” Read more & comment »

X Factor guru Simon Cowell is of course old enough to be X Factor USA judge Demi Lovato’s dad, but it seems she hasn’t learned that lesson about being respectful to your elders…

During a recording of Conan O’Brien’s chat show yesterday, 20 year old Demi branded Simon “an ass*hole” after he called her “a brat”.

The whole interview then descended into a bitchfest as Simon had a dig at Demi’s dress sense, and she said he had no room to talk given his love of high-waisted pants and clingy T-shirts.

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that The Voice UK coach Will.i.am is set to assist X Factor USA judge Britney Spears at her Judges’ Houses round…

Which is something of a shocker, given that Simon Cowell has of course frequently panned The Voice, and was recently fuming that the US version of the ‘spinning chairs’ talent quest was up against X Factor USA in its primetime air slot on Wednesday night.

The Voice won the battle for viewers by landing almost three million more than The X Factor USA.

News from The X Factor camp today begins with a report in The Sun – who captured the above picture – that Xtra Factor co-host Olly Murs had an Ooo This Is Awkward moment when he made what could easily be considered a Nazi salute during a gig in Germany last night.

We also have news of a massive drop in The X Factor USA’s viewer ratings; more on that in a mo.

But first, of Olly’s faux pas, The Sun reports that he made his “unfortunate salute” whil performing in Baden Baden.

The paper adds, “Happily fans in the Black Forest didn’t object and his performance went down a storm.”

As we reported yesterday, X Factor boss Simon Cowell denied recent claims that he’d suffered a “breakdown” earlier this year, saying instead that he was merely taking a break from his hectic work and personal life.

The original report of the alleged breakdown came from author Tom Bower, who of course penned the controversial biography of Simon Cowell entitled, Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell.

Bower stated that Simon had undertaken a six-week long detox to “banish his demons” and added that during that time, Cowell had effectively shut himself off from the world.

However, in today’s Sun, Simon’s long term friend – and former lover – Sinitta has intimated that Bower’s claims were true, and added that Simon had seen the breakdown as “a wake up call.”
