X Factor judge Simon Cowell has tipped 20 year old mum Stacey Solomon as being one of this year’s final acts.
Speaking at a charity dinner on Monday night, Cowell told the Jewish Chronicle: “I like Stacey. She’s a sweetheart. She’s a nice girl with a good voice and she’s getting better. She’s going to be in the final. She’s my favourite act after my own acts.”

A zealous JLS fan has went to extreme measures in order to meet the boys. The boys bags were being packed onto a bus in Dublin, when a security guard discovered a girl zipped inside one of them.
“It’s getting to the point where the fanaticism is dangerous,” an insider told The Sun. “This girl was so meticulous. She had brought along her own bag to match the luggage the lads normally use. But it was moving slightly and didn’t have any tags, so one of the security lads clocked it.

Dermot O’Leary has signed a contract with ITV which will see him present the 2010 series of The X Factor.
The series will be the third that Dermot has fronted, last year he was paid £1.1 million for the privilege.
A source said: “Simon has been really impressed with the way Dermot has performed.

X Factor singer Danyl Johnson has managed to get his song changed for this week’s show, after reportedly losing his temper with staff.
Yesterday we reported that Danyl threw a massive strop with vocal coach Yvue Burnett and today sources have claimed that Johnson went straight to Simon Cowell’s office and demanded to sing a different song.

UPDATE: BRIAN FRIEDMAN HAS NOW CONFIRMED THAT THE THEME HAS NOT CHANGED AGAIN. HE TWEETED:
“Just to clear up any doubts or concerns out there for X Factor fans… I confirmed the theme was changed, NOT that it was changed again
”
Brian Friedman has told his Twitter followers that Simon Cowell has changed this week’s X Factor theme again!
Earlier this week Brian reported that Simon had already changed the theme six times before settling on Wham! and George Michael songs. However at 5.28pm today Brian, the show’s creative director tweeted:

Former X Factor singer Jamie Archer has admitted that he understands why Danyl Johnson went into meltdown over his song choice for this week.
Reports emerged this morning that Danyl had walked out of a rehearsal session with Yvie Burnett and had a row with Simon Cowell after he was told that he would be singing George Michael’s Praying For Time on this weekend’s show.

Cheryl Cole has used Twitter in an attempt to dispel rumours that her marriage to Ashley Cole is on the rocks.
Cheryl was spotted on two recent X Factor shows without her wedding ring and of course the gossip mill went into overdrive.
So Cheryl hit back yesterday by posting a picture of her wearing said ring on her PR company’s Twitter page. The picture shows her holding her hand in front of her face to show the huge rock off to its best advantage, with the caption: “3 Words. Diamonds Are Forever.”

Rhydian has obviously been listening to Louis Walsh’s recent interviews and now he has insisted that John and Edward Grimes won’t last too much longer on The X Factor.
Rhydian, who finished second in the 2007 series of the show told The Guardian that the twins silliness is ‘wearing thin.’
Roberts said: “The twins are funny, but is it wearing thin now? I don’t mean that in a nasty way: I wish them the best of luck.”

Gordon Brown has made an attempt to retract his derogatory comments made about X Factor’s John and Edward Grimes last week. In a radio interview, Brown branded the boys as ‘not very good’, Labour then followed up by producing a mocked-up poster of David Cameron and George Osborne as the Irish teenagers under the slogan: “You won’t be laughing if they win.”
However in typical politician style, Gordon Brown has done a bit of a back track and told This Morning:

Yesterday we brought you the news that X Factor singers John and Edward Grimes have already landed a management deal and today it appears that a record deal wasn’t too far behind.
The Daily Star reported today that the boys have already signed with Leona Lewis’ management company and that win or lose, they are all set to release a debut album with their first single to be 5ive’s ‘Everybody Get Up’.

X Factor creative director Brian Friedman has denied that there is anything going on between Olly Murs and Stacey Solomon.
“I don’t think there’s anything going on there at all – I wish there was, Stacey and Olly are two of the most fun people to be around so they would make a great couple, but unfortunately, I haven’t seen any fireworks,” he told PA.
Brian, also revealed that he isn’t a bit surprised that John and Edward Grimes have survived for so long.

Neither Mariah Carey nor Susan Boyle will appear live on this weekend’s X Factor results show.
Mariah recorded her song during a trip to the UK last week and The Sun reports that Subo will film her guest appearance on Saturday afternoon.

X Factor twins John and Edward Grimes are said to be seeing counsellors after the public backlash against them left the pair ‘close to breaking point.’
A source told Now magazine: “They were already getting so much hate mail the show’s bosses stopped them from seeing it.
“It was bad enough when people were angry that they always seem to be on last, which is seen as the most memorable spot if you want viewers to vote for you.

Simon Cowell thought he had gotten rid of his fiesty singer when Jamie Archer left the competition. No more fights over song choices, no more manly rows, in steps Danyl Johnson.
Danyl is said to have ‘erupted in fury’ yesterday over his Wham! song choice. Simon gave him George Michael’s ‘Praying For Time’ but Dan fled his vocal session with Yvie Burnett shouting, ‘Come on, this song isn’t working…I hate this song.’
