The ‘Do It Like A Dude’ hitmaker is said to be set to join the N-Dubz star in Greece, as she whittles down eight hopeful acts to just four which she can then take on to the live shows next month.

The Sun reports that Simon Cowell approached Jessie about joining the show and working with some contestants, as he has been clsoely following her rise to fame and is a big fan of her music.

A source told The Sun that she may also perform on a live results show, explaining:

“He’s keen for her to sing on the show.”

It had previously been reported that Tulisa would be joined by British star Tinie Tempah at judges houses.

The 17 year old singer unveiled Swagger Jagger last month and was met with a wave of negative comments from fans and musical celebrities alike.

Speaking about the single, Tom from boyband The Wanted admitted that he doesn’t love the tune, telling MTV:

“I don’t like it. It’s like a nursery rhyme.”

Jay added: “I think if she had come out at the right time it could have been great, but Jessie J’s done what she’s kind of doing but properly, like a great voice and great stage presence.”

He continued: “Just because Jessie’s done it organically I think that people who like that sort of thing have got it from her. A lot of X Factor fans will definitely want to hear Cher, so I’m sure she’ll do well.”

Nathan then waded in on the discussion and was slightly more positive about the teenage star. He said:

“She could be like a younger version of Jessie J. I haven’t heard the single so I don’t know much about it, but I think that’s where they’re taking her, like a younger version. A kiddy version.”

Rebecca Ferguson has been displaying her dulcet tones once more and it’s nice to hear her singing something completely new.

After watching her perform ‘You’ve Got The Love’ and ‘Make You Feel My Love’ on the X Factor live shows and then again on tour, we were delighted to finally hear her sing a different tune.

Backstage at a recent tour date, the Liverpool mum of two gave a gorgeous rendition of Coldplay’s Lost, which you can hear below.

Mary Byrne has admitted that she would love to land a cameo role in Coronation Street.

The Dublin singer, who shot to fame when she finished in fifth place on last year’s X Factor series, told PA that she is a bit of a soap addict and would love to make her mark on Weatherfield.

“I would love to go into one of my favourite soaps of all-time – Coronation Street,” she confessed.

“And EastEnders! I would love to do stuff like that, I really would. I think I’d like to come in as somebody who sings real nice. It’d be nice to have some fun and have a bit of a laugh.”

Byrne added: “The reason why I love Corrie is because it’s a mixture of humour and serious stuff as well, but the humour’s what I love about it. I love Becky and Steve McDonald – they’re my favourites in it.

“My favourites used to be Hilda Ogden and Stan, going back many years ago.

“Then there was Jack and Vera. When they went, my heart broke. Mike Baldwin, I loved him in it. I love Deirdre, she’s been through so many romances, it’s unbelievable. And Ken! It’s the characters I’ve grown up with.”

Katie Waissel has claimed that Dannii Minogue was the ‘quietest’ of last year’s X Factor judges.

The controversial singer shot to fame on the 2010 series of the ITV talent show and was mentored by Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole , when asked what she thought of the judges Katie told Wales Online that the Australian star is very ‘down to earth,’ adding:

‘[She's]The quietest out of all the judges. She keeps herself to herself.”

On Simon Cowell, she gushed:

“He’s lovely and hilarious. He’s most definitely the businessman and the decision maker. What you see is what you get.”

And when asked about her own mentor, Katie admitted that she would love to share a glass of wine and a girly chat with Cheryl. She said:

“She’s very beautiful, she’s very earthy, the type of woman you could imagine having a glass of wine with the girlies.”

But, surprisingly, Waiisel’s favourite judge was Louis Walsh and describing him she laughed:

“He’s my favourite. I adore him to pieces. He’s really honest and genuine. He knows so much about music, his knowledge is astonishing.”

Simon Cowell has reportedly put plans for a series titled ‘World’s Got Talent’ on hold, because his schedule is too full.

Insiders had reported last year that the 51 year old X Factor star was planning to stage a global version of his ‘Got Talent’ franchise and hold it’s live stages in London’s Royal Albert Hall.

However, The Sun reports that as Cowell got more and more caught up in his plans to dominate the TV screens of America, he was forced to put this project to one side.

“It’s not happening,” an ITV source explained.

“Sadly, Simon is just way too busy with The X Factor.”

“It really is a shame because I’m sure it would have been a great spectacle.”

Britain’s Got Talent returns to ITV later this month.

Mary Byrne has admitted that she would love to follow in the footsteps of Tina Turner and record a James Bond theme tune.

The X Factor star told the PA that her management have put her name forward as a possible singer for the 23rd movie in the famous franchise but confessed that she hasn’t yet heard back from the film bosses.

“We have talked about it,” she said. “We have put it out there, but they haven’t got back to me yet.

“I would be the happiest woman on this planet, and that’s the truth. To sing a Bond song, you would be up there with the greats, the likes of Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones and Paul McCartney. To even consider me would be a phenomenal feeling, and I would be so honoured and proud.”

Byrne added: “I love James Bond movies – I loved them from the Sean Connery ones. Connery is my number one Bond, there’s no doubt about that.

“But my favourite Bond is Roger Moore because he is my generation, and then Pierce Brosnan as the sexy one. Daniel Craig brings a different dimension to it.”

Cheryl Cole has been doing a bit of Royal raving in her latest interview and after reading it, we’re starting to wonder if she has her sights set on joining the House Of Windsor.

The X Factor judge has been regularly rubbing shoulders with heir to the throne, Prince Charles as she sets up her new ‘Cheryl Cole Foundation’ which will work closely with The Princes Trust. Speaking to Glamour magazine Cole admitted that not only does she get on well with ‘down to earth’ Charlie, but she also quite likes his rebellious son Harry.

On The Prince Of Wales she said:

“He’s really lovely, charming, funny and down-to-earth. He’s a bit of a dude.”

And Prince Harry?

“He’s my favourite. He’s relate-able to, one of us, but royal with a posh voice.”

We think Harry and Cheryl would make a great match, don’t you! After all he did make a personal request to meet her when he visited The X Factor set last year and she would fit in well with the family….she and Harry’s new sister in law could discuss hair styling tips as Cheryl is desperate to know how Miss Middleton gets her locks to look so ‘shiny.’ She added:

“Like every other girl in the country, I can’t wait to see Kate’s dress. She’s going to look beautiful. I asked my hairdresser what she thinks Kate does to her hair to get it that shiny. She looks as though she just wakes up with it looking like that. She should get a deal with L’Oréal!”

Cheryl Cole has admitted that she doesn’t like to plan her future anymore.

The X Factor judge, whose marriage broke down last year leaving her in a state of turmoil, said that after ‘mapping’ her life out for ten years, she now just takes things ad they come.

Cole said: “I really plan not to plan. I’ve had my life mapped out for the best part of 10 years, so for now I just want to enjoy myself and live for the moment.”

Cheryl was said to be seeing voice coaches in a bid to tone down her Geordie accent, so that she could land a spot on Simon Cowell’s new US X Factor and launch a successful music career in America.

However she denied the rumours and told Glamour magazine: “It’s going nowhere. Absolutely nowhere.”

Although she is spending a lot of her time in Los Angeles with her rumoured boyfriend, ‘Dancing with the Stars’ professional Derek Hough, she still misses British home comforts.

She said: “Ringtons tea from Newcastle is the best. I always ask my family to bring me some when they visit.

“I also miss British chocolate. American chocolate is awful! It’s like wax. I have to get some Dairy Milk or Galaxy brought out. As for their KitKats. I don’t even know how they can call them KitKats.”

Despite her trim physique and love for chocolate, Cheryl confesses she has no particular workout or diet to keep slim.

Asked about her health regime, she said: “I honestly don’t have one. People give themselves too much of a hard time with stuff like that – just do it if you want to. I don’t have a regime I regularly stick to.”
