Holly Willoughby has decided to leave X Factor spinoff show ‘The Xtra Factor’ and concentrate on her This Morning role instead.

Holly gave birth to her first baby in May and earlier this year she admitted that she wasn’t sure if she could continue on the show.

Holly said: “I don’t know if I’ll be back on The X Factor. It’s going to be shortly after the arrival, and I don’t know if I want to rush. I need to decide soon.”

She told Closer magazine: “I love being in The X Factor, but we’ve got to see if we can work it out.”

Now it seems that Holly has made her decision and decided not to return to the ITV2 TV show..

A source told The Mirror: “Holly is incredibly popular and she has been offered jobs that are every presenter’s dream, but something has to give.

“Everything had to be juggled for Holly to be able to sign up for This Morning and film the Xtra Factor and there is no way that she will be able to do it again next year.

“Things take their toll and as much as she loves the Xtra Factor, Holly realises there is no real possibility of her returning next year.”

Holly Willoughby is rumoured to be leaving the Xtra Factor next year and favourite to replace her is One Show host, Christine Bleakley.

“Holly’s enjoyed Xtra Factor but feels the time is right to step aside and let someone else have a go,” a source told The Daily Star.

No doubt Holly is feeling a bit overworked. Between her new role on This Morning, her presenting stint on ITV’s Dancing On Ice and her weekly slot on the Xtra Factor, she can’t have much spare time spend with her new son Harry.

Christine Bleakley is said to be Simon Cowell’s preferred choice for the ITV2 spinoff show.

Holly Willoughby has admitted that she gets nervous when X Factor judges hold her three month old baby Harry.

The Xtra Factor host says that Dannii and Cheryl love seeing Harry during film breaks, but she is always worried that he will throw up on their dresses.

Willoughby told Now: “I’d go to the judging room and Dannii and Cheryl would be like, ‘Hurry up and bring him in’.

“I was always scared to let them hold him after he’d just eaten though, in case he puked all over their lovely outfits. They would be holding him and I’d be thinking, ‘Harry, please don’t chuck up’. They were so good with him.”

Xtra Factor presenter, Holly Willoughby, has admitted that her new baby son Harry has already been introduced to all things X Factor. In fact she has even bought him an X Factor sleepsuit!

Holly told the Daily Star: “Harry is having a lovely time – he even has an X Factor Babygro!”

Holly continued: “It has been a bit frantic.

“I switch between interviewing and feeding Harry. They even have feeding breaks written into my schedules!”

Zoe Salmon has revealed that she would love to step into Holly Willoughby’s shoes on ITV2’s Xtra Factor show.

Holly recently admitted that she doesn’t know whether she will front the show this year as she is due to give birth to her first child in May.

Zoe told The Sun:

“If Holly decides to stay at home, I would gladly fill her shoes.

“Holly’s brilliant. It would be a shame if she didn’t come back but it would be great for me.”

Holly Willoughby may cut down on the amount of time she spends filming for this years Xtra Factor in order to spend more time with her new baby.

Holly is currently expecting her first baby and is due around May, just when the X Factor filming kicks off. Insiders have said that she may reduce her hours spent at the audition venues, or simply join the team when they get to the live rounds later in the year.

A show source told The Sun: “There have been no official talks about what will happen.

“But Holly may either just film one day at the auditions instead of two, or wait and join us for the live shows in October.”

Holly Willoughby has revealed that she missed her first Xtra Factor show on Saturday night as she was much too busy partying at the ‘V’ Festival.

The ITV presenter told The Mirror: “My mum texted me to tell me what she thought. I didn’t get chance to see it, I was too busy watching bands.

Yet another reason for us to love this down to earth stunner!

TalkbackThames and ITV2 have announced that Holly Willoughby will be joining The X Factor team to present the ITV2 spin-off show The Xtra Factor for the forthcoming new series which kicks off on air in the summer.

Holly said of the new project: “I am thrilled to be joining the X Factor team, I have always been a big fan of the show and I am looking forward to going on the road with the team and meeting some of the colourful characters the UK has to offer as well as this year’s potential new stars.”

Holly Willoughby has been tipped as the new presenter of X Factor spin off show, The Xtra Factor.

Fearne Cotton presented the show last year, but has dropped out this year as she is trying to forge a presenting career in America.

Holly is no stranger to TV presenting, and many people will recognise her from presenting Dancing On Ice with Phillip Schofield.

A source told the Sunday Mirror: ‘Fearne was very happy to wave goodbye, so she harbours no resentment towards Holly.’ ‘Holly’s a very different type of presenter. She gets on with everyone so there will be no fireworks between her and Simon.’
